A Tuscan holiday villa on a private estate near Florence. Located on the hills of a 100 hectare estate with extensive views over the whole Arno Valley and Florence. This panoramic and strategic location offers a peaceful and private vacation for people who wish to experience Tuscan living, explore the region of Tuscany and the wonders of Florence. Immersed in a forest with fenced garden and private pool the house has 5 bedrooms and a pullout bed. One bedroom is a walk thru . Please ask for extra bed or twin. A very large living cum dining room offers a lovely gathering point in the house with sun streaming thru the large arched doorway with views . wi fi is offered . On the ground floor there is an entrance sitting room , 2 double bedrooms and a full bathroom with tub and shower . The kitchen is also found on this level . Fully equipped with everything you need. Upstairs there are 3 double bedrooms with an additional 2.5 bathrooms.
The loggia has seating for all with views of the vineyards, hilltop town across the river and to Florence. BBQ
Close to public transport and all shops. For those that like to walk you can reach by foot the town and also local train station, Florence is a short 16min ride.
We are always here to help organize any tour or driver, transfer or make restaurant arrangements for the guests at any of the local incredible and dining experiences. For all budgets restaurants al fresco , gelateria's are abundant and well priced .
If you want your complete privacy it is yours!
Horse riding, tennis, golf at 20 minutes , trails for trekking , medieval walled town and easy public transport. One of the most famous Tuscan cooking schools offering classes also to English speaking guests is local , professional Italian chefs teach and the courses are excellent in content and quantity of what s taught however a unforgettable, fun experience.
Hire car, if you are not scared of walking up a hill then you can leave the car and reach the town , pizzerias and shop by foot and also the local train and bus .

Fantastic Stay

We had a lovely stay at Lastra a Signa. The house was very comfortable, clean and well equipped. The pool was all lovely to relax in with the hot weather. Meaghan was a great host throughout our stay and organised a chef for us one evening which was superb.

Fantastic view. Beautiful facility. Wonderful, fantastic, marvelous host. Great pool. Recommend having transportation do to the long, steep driveway.

Only used the pool once. It was clean and very nice, except the pool furniture is in bad shape.The villa is airconditioned, but there is an extra cost for using the air conditioning. Electricity is very expensive in Europe.The kitchen cabinets need to be sorted. Too much "stuff".There are a lot of steps around the house.Overall, a very nice stay. The villa was very clean and comfortable. A lot of shampoo, hand soap and shower gel was provided, not just starter supplies.The beds were comfortable and the linens were very nice. The owner Meagan was helpful and very nice.

Definitely need a car if you have luggage

This place has a great view. To get to the view, it is a steep and narrow driveway. There are steps to every level. The impression given in the description is a reasonable walk to the train, which is true when going down the hill to the train station.It rained heavily a few days and there was soot from the range hood covering the range and counter. We needed to vacuum and wipe alot to get it reasonably usable. The pool is nice. The beds were comfortable. Overall we had an enjoyable stay.

Perfect stay for a perfect week

We were here with 6 friends and thorougly enjoyed every day at this house! The kitchen was stocked with all essentials (Salt, Olive Oil from the family of the host, etc.) and every utensil you might need to cook; the pool was nicely kept and inviting for a day of relaxing; the sourroundings were very quite and you really had your privacy - all in all a perfect stay for the perfect week with friends. The only topic worth noting would be that the house is on a hill, with a 5 minute drive to the next public road and the city - so if you wish to dine out frequently this house is not for you. We however loved our stay here and would be more than thrilled to come back!

Perfect Tuscan Family Vacation

Loved the location. Plenty of privacy, but only about a half mile from town and about a mile from the train station. Meaghan was very attentive to all our needs. Plenty of room for 9 people. Take the cooking class, it was lots of fun.

Fun family holiday

It’s a great location and space for a family. We had 8 adults and 2 kids and enough space for all. It wasn’t very kid friendly as there are lots of stairs in the house and the small single room used by the children was next to a very high wooden staircase. Pool is lovely but surrounded by grass so spray yourself for the mosquitos. We had a lovely time away and very close to Florence, Pisa and Siena.

La maison et la situation sont tres agréables. En revanche, nous avons des coupures d'électricité quotidiennes et eu la désagréable surprise de voir la propriétaire nous réclamer en fin de séjour plus des sommes considérables (et sans justificatif chiffré) pour frais d'électricité ! Face à notre insatisfaction et nos questions la seule réponse a été de nous dire que l'Italie ne produisait pas assez d'électricité,qu'elle était chère et que les coupures venaient de la compagnie d'électricité qui coupait le courant (ce qui était évidemment faux puisque toute la ville et nos voisins restaient éclairés).

Family holiday with friends too - loved the place, great location, 4 bedrooms and a 5th on the landing if required, which we did. Lots of bedding and good sized accommodation. Easy drives to local parking in Florence and good connection to Pisa. Italy is a great place to spend time and this is a great location to do it from
