Quietly located in lush greenery, this charming residence, a former 18th century wine estate, is at the same time very close to Bordeaux, 20 minutes from the city center, the Medoc castle route and less than an hour from beaches of Lacanau or the Bassin d'Arcachon.
The 5 beautifully decorated bedrooms are located in the astonishing building which has kept its old charm in front of its shaded park. The swimming pool is heated from mid May to mid October. The very large living room with stone walls with fireplace and mezzanine, combine to create a very friendly atmosphere. Guests can enjoy a reading corner, billiards and an equipped kitchen. The tropical spa adds an exotic touch to the whole. This friendly, refined and carefully decorated setting, where you are received as a friend, will seduce you.

Nice House Close to Bordeaux

Very nice house with pretty grounds easily accessible to Bordeaux by tram (5 min drive to tram station). Isabelle greeted us when we arrived and provided helpful information. The neighborhood is convenient to get to other towns, not charming itself. A Nous Deaux is a very good restaurant 5 min away. We could take trips to the Arachon Bay and Saint Emilion each an hour or less.

Best Team Building Stay

The property is beautiful, comfortable, calm and the owners, Isabelle and Jean-Luc are so welcoming. We had the most enjoyable stay for our team to bond over great meals - inside and outside, pool time and darts. The bedrooms and bathrooms are all spacious, comfortable and clean. A wonderful property that we highly recommend!

Amazing Home

This home was perfect for our group of 5 couples visiting Bordeaux. All the bedrooms were very tastefully decorated and the main room was perfect for the 10 of us to hang out and enjoy. Isabelle was a most wonderful host who ensured that every detail of our stay went smoothly - from taxi pick ups to our chef night. What an enjoyable stay!!!

Relaxing stay in the Bordeaux area

A beautiful property in a very quiet setting. The garden and pool were particularly lovely and the area felt secure. The house stayed cool in the hot weather, and the AC was great when used. We barbecued several times with fantastic meat from the local butcher. Isabelle and Jean-Luc were on site, and were very helpful and welcoming, yet gave us plenty of space and privacy to relax. A lovely holiday. Thanks.

A beautiful property - lovely for a family

What a beautiful place to stay! Our hosts Isabelle and Jean Luc were charming and helpful, with lots of advice on local activities and always available to help or answer questions. The rooms were clean and spacious, with modern bathrooms and nice amenities. The property itself was well manicured and beautiful and the heated pool was a nice treat on warm days. It's a little bit further from the city center than we anticipated (about a 30-minute drive), but it's very conveniently located for day trips around Bordeaux (wine tastings, Arcachon, etc.), and there are plenty of shops a very short drive away for groceries, bakery, butcher shop, produce, etc. Overall a great visit.

We really enjoyed our stay at this very beautiful house. Isabelle and Jean Luc are charming hosts and greeted us with an aperitif and plate of charcuterie. This was a kind gesture … after our long drive.The house is an impressive converted barn, designed by Isabelle and Jen Luc. Each room has a unique feel, with tasteful artwork and furniture from different places around the world.The garden is like an enormous grassy courtyard … filled with plants, shrubs and pots. The centre-piece is a stunning swimming pool. We are a family of five, who were joined for a few days by elderly parents. Our ages ranged from teenagers to early 80s … and the house proved a hit with all of the family. My only “watch out” is the kitchen is quite small. So if you are cordon bleu chef, expecting to cook exquisite meals for your family every night … you’ll find the kitchen space smaller than what you might have back home. I’m not a cordon bleu chef … and found the kitchen absolutely fine for my family. But it is small (though well equipped) … given the vastness of the house. Isabelle provided some wine, beers, cakes and jams. She is an excellent host.

Nice but expensive

Isabelle is very attentive but listing wasn’t accurate. Although the building where you stay is yours, she, her husband, and maintenance guy are around all the time. The main house is on the other side of the pool and they will be sitting in their lovely greenhouse from time to time saying hello and making sure you are ok. You will also be sharing the driveway with 3 other vehicles making parking an added stress. The property also has a gate that you have to pass thru and then wait for it to start closing to make sure the remote worked. At checkin, Isabelle said her listing stated there was a 50 euro per day charge to use the spa and that the pool was only heated from June through August. The listing did not say this. She did not charge us but was able to heat up the spa to 99 degree F. The towels providedwere old. Also not disclosed is that 3 of the bedrooms are only accessible from the outside. And two of those “don’t need airconditioning” but my friends chose to not to stay there as it was predicted to be warming up and the air doesn’t move in those two bedrooms. I did not actually need air conditioning in my room but there are no screens on the windows and I woke up 2 nights to mosquitoes buzzing my ear. The kitchen is like an office kitchen but it has all the stuff you need with mini appliances. It is actually a very nice property and we all would have enjoyed our stay more had the listing been more accurate and priced more appropriately for the deficiencies.

Nous avons passé un séjour merveilleux. Après avoir été reçus comme de la famille, nos hôtes Isabelle et Jean-Luc nous ont conseillés sur toute sortes d'activités à faire dans la région. La maison est d'une grande beauté, les aménagements extérieurs idylliques avec la piscine et le jardin. Nous avons passé 5 jours de rêve. Beautiful house and great location, lovely host

The house is perfect location around 25 mins from Bordeaux centre and local places also good, kids loved the Memphis diner 20 mins away. The pool was lovely and warm too great beds around the pool, Isabelle the host was very helpful and gave us loads of lovely places to try to visit which were great. The house was huge and had loads of space there is also three outdoor rooms separate which was great for our oldest son, place is very quiet and had Isabelle was lovely enough to help us with washing during our stay

Beautiful property for families in a great location location

We had a wonderful time - property was beautiful and well kept. The owner, Isabelle, is also I'd an amazing chef (one of, if not our best dinners during a 10 day trip) and can coordinate for breakfast and dinners upon request. The 18th century building is fully renovated and perfect for large families. The location is in a great spot to go into the city of Bordeaux or make day trips to the beach and the surrounding wine country. Highly recommended!
