Disconnect, decompress, and disengage from the stresses of daily life in a comfortable, completely refurbished A-frame Cabin. Fall in love with the beauty and solitude here in the heart of one of America's greatest national treasures.

You'll enjoy breathtaking views of Glacier National Park's mountain ranges, waterfalls, and majestic lakes all within a short driving distance to the Many Glacier and St. Marys entrances to the park. Another scenic drive over Chief Mountain Road will take you to the historic town of Waterton located in Waterton National Park Alberta, Canada.
Your home away from home features a fully furnished space complete with kitchenette, separate bathroom and bed accommodations for couples and one or two children.

The proud owners would love to offer their suggestions for dining and recreational opportunities in the area. We have been rafting, biking, and hiking these unique, scenic trails for over 20 years.

We loved our stay at this charming, cozy cabin! The location is an excellent base for exploring Glacier’s east side, especially Many Glacier. Our host was warm, welcoming, and genuinely cared about making our stay special. After a long day hiking Grinnell Glacier, coming back to the cabin’s peaceful setting was the perfect way to unwind. It felt like a retreat, not just a place to sleep. We would happily stay again—highly recommend!

We really appreciated the time we spent at this property. The host was very responsive when we ran into an unexpected property maintenance problem. Having an opportunity to have a friendly welcoming chat with both of them one afternoon was delightful. We love hiking in Glacier National Park so likely will return to make this remarkable little cabin our base camp.

The location was perfect! Close to St Mary and Many Glacier. The hosts were very friendly and knowledgeable of the area. Items like paper towels, ziploc bags, dish soap, etc. were all available which was super nice. Would stay here again for sure!

Our hosts were incredibly kind and accommodating, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The location was perfect—just the right distance from the east side of Glacier National Park, making it easy to enjoy the park while still having a peaceful place to relax.The house was the perfect size for our family of four. The Wi-Fi worked great, which was especially appreciated since there is no cell service in the area. The beds were exceptionally comfortable, and we all enjoyed restful nights of sleep after our daily adventures.Thank you both for helping make this trip so special. We made unforgettable memories here with our two young boys, and this will always be a place we remember fondly.

We absolutely loved our stay! The location near Babb was perfect for exploring Glacier National Park, with convenient access to both St. Mary and the Many Glacier area. It was an ideal home base for our adventures and made it easy to get an early start and maximize our time in the park.The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the accommodations had everything we needed to make our stay easy and enjoyable. The kitchen was especially well-equipped for preparing breakfast, packing lunches, and getting ready for a full day of exploring. Top of the line accomodations

Ken and Gena have made his little A-frame your home away from home. Check in is easy, extremely clean, nicely decorated, stocked with everything you need including robe and slippers. We will definitely stay again when we are back in the area.

A real retreat

From the moment our reservation was confirmed, owner Ken was responsive to our questions. He gave us numerous tips about visiting the area attractions including some we were unaware of. The cabin had everything we needed. We would gladly recommend that family and friends stay here.

We live in Jacksonville, Florida during the winter months and spend the summers at Duck Lake, Mt near Glacier National Park. We fell in love with this area when we first visited in the mid-1990s and were fortunate to buy property at Duck Lake in 2005. In 2017, we started renovations on our A-frame cabin and in 2019 had our first guests. We were unable to open in 2020 due to covid-19 and are thrilled to be back open for the 2021 season.

We enjoy outdoor activities such as hiking, biking (mainly Ken), rafting, and horseback riding. It is especially enjoyable taking hikes in the backcountry of GNP when the weather is ideal, and the popular trails are busy. We also frequent the local performing art events and especially enjoy watching the enthusiasm of the young artists.

Ken is a retired Naval Officer and Networking Technology Professor and has visited and lived in several countries in the orient. Gena has an MBA, spent a year working in Mexico City with Arthur Anderson Accounting firm before she found her calling as a Computer Information Systems Professor where she worked until she recently retired (and where she met Ken).

We enjoy meeting our guests and sharing our knowledge of the area with them.

We have two small dogs Ruby and Ziggy

Why they chose this property

We chose this property because it was close to the Many Glacier and St Mary entrances to the park. It is very quiet away from the busy tourist areas outside the gates of Glacier. The main thing that attracted us about this location is the panoramic views of the mountains from our lot.

Our property is unique since it is close to multiple GNP entrances but away from heavy traffic and noise. It provides beautiful panoramic views of the mountain range.
