On the shores of Ducklake only minutes from Glacier Park, and Waterton Park park
HAVE YOU EXPERIENCED THE STARS IN MONTANA? We have been in the valley for almost 50 years, love the land, the people and the entire park in general! My parents had a place on the majestic St Mary lake where we grew up in the wild every weekend and 2 months every summer exploring all the hidden gems glacier park had to offer. We built our getaway on Duck lake in 2006 for the fishing, wildlife and the utter beauty of the Montana rocky mountains just for our 3 boys to have the same upbringing I had. Now as they are getting older and moving in their own directions our place seems to be empty more and more of the time. We are happy to open up our piece of paradise to explorers of all types to experience a piece of life in Montana's wilderness. The property is fully chain linked fenced keeping you safe while watching the boundless wildlife with views from all directions. over 100ft beach with clean weed free water (swear its the best fishing area on the lake) a dock, 2 fire pits one on the beach one in the trees for the windy days. The loft cabin we are offering is brand new. It is super unique, rustic and modern in every way. We have an assortment of kayaks, canoes and all kinds of water sports and fishing gear, welcome for everyone to use. Our main cabin is also on the property yet your stay will be quiet and relaxing, as were only usually there on weekends and for cleaning. We just just added an inflatable air bed just to add a little more comfort for a larger group.

The place was amazing, but the hosts were even better! We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect stay. Every little detail was thought of — they even brought up extra toys for my kids. I truly hope this rental is around for a long time, because we’ll stay here every single time we visit Glacier. I’m already having withdrawals from not seeing that breathtaking view each morning while sipping my coffee.
Great l’il spot off the beaten path but still super close to Glacier National Park. Loved all the lake toys! The place is small but has everything you need to be comfortable and great use of space. We appreciated the well stocked kitchen and bathroom. Hosts were unbelievably friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend this hidden gem!
We had a great stay! The cabin had everything we needed. We enjoyed the convenience to Glacier as well as the fishing and relaxation the space provided. It was great to get to know Abby and Anna!
Our family of five greatly enjoyed our stay at Duck Lake. The condo unit was very nice, clean and offered all the amenities that made our stay comfortable and convenient. The location offered quick and easy access to the east side GNP entrances of St. Mary and the Many Glacier Area. After our long daily hikes we loved coming back to the property and relaxing on the deck or spending time by the lake. Abby and his wife are great hosts, he is a fun and very interesting guy. They were very responsive to our questions and anything we needed. We highly recommend staying here and we look forward to our next trip out to GNP.
Nicer hosts you will never find! Outside of the rough road going in, everything was excellent! Took their advice and went to Waterton, Canada…best part of the trip!! Bring your passports and make that part of your trip! You won’t be sorry! Thanks Abby and Anne…love you guys!
We enjoyed our stay at Abby and Anna’s lovely loft so much, we plan to go back someday. They provide their guests with everything you can think of to make your stay fabulous- Even on our last day I was still finding surprises in the cupboards. It’s peaceful, secluded and there are beautiful views from every window. If you plan to visit Glacier or just want to fish and relax, stay here! Be aware the road is rough (out of their control) and you need to take it slow, But we managed it with a Honda Accord. Highly recommend!
The lake house was a nice place to stay close to Glacier NP. Quiet and had everything we needed for a short stay. The hosts were very kind and helpful. Would recommend!
I can’t recommend this property enough. It was truly an experience. I went to MT with my 17 year old son. We wanted an authentic MT adventure and this property fit the bill perfectly. We drove the Going to the Sun Road and stayed 2 nights here. This is the perfect location for exploring the Many Glacier section of GNP. We loved the cozy vibes of the cabin, the fully stocked kitchen, the amazing beach with kayaks and the stunning views. It’s down a long gravel road but that was part of the fun. Cows are wandering everywhere and the sunrise and sunsets are amazing here. The hosts met us at the main road and we followed them to the property the first time we got there, which was extremely helpful. I know we would have doubted ourselves if we drove it alone - it’s far but wonderful. We had a rented Camry and it did fine on the road. Separately, I highly recommend the Grinell Glacier trail on this side of the park - simply breathtaking! If you want to feel away from it all, in a gorgeous setting, book this property today. If we ever come back to GNP, this would be the first place I reserved.
We really enjoyed our stay. The loft was equipped with everything you would need or want. Very cute and comfy. Abby and Ana are very cool and made us feel so welcome. We would love to come back and stay again.
We loved our time at Duck Lake! We will never forget the hospitality shown by Abby and Anna. It was the beaten path with the most beautiful view of the lake. Access to fishing was a HUGE win for our family!
We had a great stay. Abby and Anna were very helpful and friendly, going out of their way to make sure we were well taken care of. Our son had a blast fishing in the lake for rainbow trout and it was a nice bonus to be able to take the kayaks out on the lake during our downtime. Would recommend and would happily stay there again despite the rough road to get to the property.
We enjoyed the tranquility of this location. We have previously stayed at another location here on the lake and this one gets a much higher rating from us. If you want a place to stay near Glacier that is quite with all the features of a home away from home, this is your place! The road getting here is a little rough, but you have to consider the location to be the reward. Great stay!
So clean and more room than the pictures showed! We loved the lake and being close to the park. It has AC too which was nice, it was really hot when we were there. Kitchen had very nice equipment and we used the grill several times. Loved staying here!
