The house has three levels of living space for those needing distance and more privacy. Fiberoptic internet supports working remotely at the desk upstairs. After a walk to the farmers' market, cook the island-grown meats and produce in a fully-equipped kitchen with a gourmet stove and island countertop. Rainy weather? Stay in and luxuriate in the clawfoot tub, or sip a hot drink in front of the gas fireplace. House is well-equipped with games, puzzles, books, CDs, and DVDs. Recently re-decorated with your comfort in mind!

Close to nature yet only steps to Eastsound. This charming Craftsman home is situated eight miles from the ferry and has views of the water from the deck and nearby park. It is only four and a half miles to Moran State Park, where you can hike the many trails, see the waterfalls, lakes, and wildlife. Drive up to Mt Constitution to enjoy a 360 - degree view of the San Juan Islands. Kayaking, paddleboarding, swimming, and playground are available at one of the park lakes. Adjacent greenbelt invites lawn games and sports. Bring your racquets or skate gear, as there is a beautiful skatepark with tennis and pickleball courts within walking distance.

Great location!

If you’re looking to be near the town, you can’t do much better than this. Short walk to the cafes and restaurants. Has a lovely tub upstairs, which felt amazing after a long day hiking. Would recommend to anyone looking for an Eastsound getaway.

Wonderful girls weekend

Friends from grade school, now in our 50’s, enjoyed a quiet and relaxing four days. Nice easy walking path to town, plenty of good restaurants (one person was gluten free and restaurants were knowledgeable!) house was lovely with plenty of room for alone time if needed. Hiking trails and views galore! It was a wonderful time.

Orcas Comfort

This is the third time staying on Orcas Island. This last time the rental was within walking distance to Eastsound. This made things very convenient to walk to the different shops and restaurants. The house was in great shape, clean and comfortably decorated. The few things that could easily be fixed are the oven, dining chair seats and a tree brushing against the upstairs east bedroom. We weren’t able to turn on the oven and was latter notified that we had to leave the broiler on for 5 minutes before it works. The dining chair seats were not the firmest but still okay and the tree branches by the east upstairs bedroom when the wind blew made some noise. These were all minor compared to the great and relaxing time in the beautiful home. We definitely would stay again!

Great stay!

Happy that we choose to spend a week here. This is our 2nd time to visit Orcas Island. Stayed at a resort the first time. Definitely preferred staying at a house vs resort/hotel. It was very cozy, clean and comfortable. The island restaurants as well as the few grocery stores close early. It was great to be able to prepare meals. The living room, kitchen and half bath are located middle main floor. The kitchen pantry has all the basic spices. The home was very relaxing after day of hiking and whale watching. Eastsound was a great location. The property management company had clear instructions to get into the home. No issues with wifi. The day of our arrival we received a message that the home was ready for an early check in. They sent a message to make sure that the home was clean and if there were issues. The house was very spacious. TV was easy to use. There were books, dvds and games. Fireplace in the living room was so nice. Plenty of towels, shampoo, soap! One thing that I will mention is that guest take stairs to get to a 1st floor basement bedroom that has an extra living area and the laundry room. The other bedrooms are located on the 3rd floor. If you have any physical issues walking/climbing stairs this may be something to consider. Eastsound shopping was about a 5-minute drive. Small public beach was a 5 min drive. Moran State Park 20min away. We loved our stay at the Dream Town Craftsman and would love to come back to Orcas Island again.

My husband, me, and our friends really appreciated the proximity to Eastsound, especially after we discovered the trails that kept us off the streets that didn't have any shoulders. We particularly liked the White Horse/Black Donkey, the friendly vibe of the town, and the great shops. The layout of the house is ideal for two couples, with one staying in the basement suite, the other upstairs, with the main floor being common living space. The house is very nice and comfortable. I particularly liked the many windows that we could open and close to control the temperature.We took advantage of the grill, the wonderful front porch, and the kitchen. The kitchen could benefit from a little more organization, but that's what happens when you have four opinionated cooks in one space.

Easy access to town. Accommodation are fine, baths were clean. Bedroom beds were okay however the bedspreads in the front bedroom closest to road need to be replaced, they look worn out. Also in that same bedroom above the door at ceiling is a large cob web that needs addressing. This unit is fine for a short stay.

This was an amazing home to stay in during our stay in Eastsound. We were able to walk to the market and stroll downtown and the beach from the house. We were regretting not booking it for the last few days of our trip. The water view is a sliver through some trees, but it was still a view.

Lovely Comfortable Home

There were three of us staying for two nights. We did not spend very much time here and I wish we could have stayed longer. It is a lovely, thoughtful, clean and well equipped home. This home would be great for a family. There are lots of games, wonderful space allocations and very nice outside spaces as well. We wish the weather had been warmer for that! Good location and close to town. We would definitely recommend.

Very quiet in Winter

I enjoy the off-season in resort areas so enjoy coming to Orcas Island in February. This house is cozy and comfy, and I’ve rented it 4 of the last 5 years, which ought to say something! You can’t beat the location! Note to Sandi , the owner tho: you need to provide a snow shovel and bag of ice melter/rock salt.

Dreamy in every way

Such a beautiful house, inside and out, that is a very short walk (along a path) into town. The house itself was immaculate and such a good layout for our family. The main floor is a big open space with a large kitchen, dining area, and living room. Upstairs are two bedrooms and a large bathroom. The basement had another bedroom, bathroom, and living room. My son, who is in college and living in a dorm, was thrilled to have a whole private door to himself. The house was well stocked: games, puzzles, books, movies, and a very well-equipped kitchen with everything we needed to make Thanksgiving dinner. The house is in a small community of houses by the same builder -- all are lovely and they are positioned on the property so that you never feel you are looking into someone else's house. The one suggestion I would have is to have someone clean the pots and pans before the next guest. The people who used this equipment before us did not clean them well, and it was kind of gross. We would have probably cleaned everything we were planning to use beforehand anyway, but it wasn't pleasant to see food remains.
