About this property
Nice chalet on the heights of Annecy
PRESENTATION
Imagine a place quite different from the others: you are on the edge of a hamlet of fifteen houses, no more. It overlooks the valley. Everything is calm and peaceful. Unless the woodcutters prepare the winter wood or the deer roar disturbs the autumn evenings ...
You are at Le Petit Chalet, quite exclusive accommodation, in the sense that you are alone there: there is no semi-detached, no other tenants and no vis-à-vis disturbs the magnificent view of the rocky bar called Roc des Boeufs, opposite.
Le Petit Chalet is an old and authentic mazot, that is to say a traditional hay loft of the region. Around, the vegetation of gardens of which one is reserved for you, while the other welcomes you.
The situation - in the opinion of all those who have given us the pleasure of coming to spend a few days here - is ideal: while you are staying in the heart of nature, on the flank of the Semnoz, you are in the center of everything possible, between the Annecy basin and that of Aix-les-Bains.
Unless you want to go for a high mountain race, there is no need to make long preparations to organize your day. As everything is just a few minutes away, you can decide according to your mood at the moment: walks, visits, swimming, paragliding, cycling, idleness, the choice is yours… The possibilities are endless.
Want to go north? You inevitably fall on the magnificent Lake Annecy, in a good ten minutes. You can stop there or, for example, take the small coaster boat which will take you to the heart of the old town for a pleasant and informative ride. You can also extend your route to the Massif des Aravis and its breathtaking landscapes. You can even, during the day, push as far as Chamonix ...
Do you decide to go south? One place stands out: the summit of Semnoz, with its winter and summer activities. The 360 ° view is simply magnificent. Mont Blanc is revealed in all its splendor. The bravest can go up there on foot, directly from the Petit Chalet. The others will drive by a pretty little mountain road which will take them barely 13 minutes: it is not uncommon to come across a deer, a fox or a badger.
In the east, the hike is a little rougher, but remains accessible to all. From the summit of Roc des Bœufs, the view of Lake Annecy is breathtaking.
The west opens onto the Bauges Regional Park, still very well preserved in its balance between tradition and modernity. You will not have time to walk all the paths available to you for a multitude of hikes that have the charm of places protected from overcrowding.
You understand: at Le Petit Chalet, you will not know where to turn your head and your legs. And that’s very good: you will leave it with a taste of too little that will no doubt make you want to come back to it sooner or later.
So, see you soon at the Petit Chalet?
In summary, the strengths:
• In the Massif des Bauges Regional Natural Park, a marvelous region preserved from mass tourism and characterized by its calm and beauty, the chalet is ideally located at the entrance to the Annecy lake basin.
• Leaning against the eastern flank of the Semnoz mountain, it is located in the hamlet of La Touvière. It faces the rocky massif called Roc des Boeufs on which it gives a magnificent view. If you are looking for nature, calm and rest, the place is ideal, in any season. (Sale of farm products and restaurants nearby)
• But it is not its only attraction since it is close to tourist attraction points in the region.
Lake Annecy is 10km away; that of Le Bourget (Aix-les-Bains), 35km.
• In summer, it can be the starting point for several hikes and walks.
• Many activities are available to you: water sports on the lake, paragliding (30 'from the base of Dossard), road cycling or mountain biking. The Col de Leschaux is a Mecca for cycling trips in the region and Lake Annecy, a Mecca for paragliding. The possibilities for mountain outings are endless.
• In winter, for alpine skiing, the first ski lifts are 10km away, at Semnoz; Margériaz station is 26km away; that of La Clusaz, 47km.
For cross-country skiing, the Semnoz area is 11km away; that of the Grand Revard at 16km.
All these stations offer possibilities for snowshoeing, sledding, etc.
• The city of Annecy is 15km away; that of Aix-les-Bains, 31 km away (it is possible to carry out a thermal cure).
• The closest shops are in Saint-Jorioz (9km) and in Sévrier (11km).
• Annecy train station is 17km away
• Annecy airport is 23km away; that of Geneva, 69 km; that of Lyon, 122km.
