Great getaway

This property isn't fancy but it's a perfect lake house for a vacation. The owner was super sweet and on top of communication. We were able to rent paddle boards and our kids had a blast playing in the garage with the pool and ping pong table. We will definitely plan on coming back!

Relaxing Family Getaway

Ana's home was a welcome change of scenery after 5 straight months of social distancing at home. We loved being right on the water all day and relaxing in the cozy cottage at night. Just a short drive from Seattle but far away enough that we truly enjoyed the refreshing escape to the lake. Can't wait to come back!

Cozy rustic fun lake house getaway

My wife and 6yo daughter enjoyed our summer getaway at this lake house. Highlights were kayaking, fishing, swimming. My 6yo enjoyed the shallow water on the bank and we all found the house to be comfortable. We would happily return for another trip.

Great lakehouse Trip!

Floors could have been cleaner, the AC is not central air but a portable unit and it didnt cool the house very well. Other than those 2 things, it was a great time, the house had everything we needed;communication with the host was easy and great, very nice prople! Being so close to the beach was the best time, the house was perfect size for us AND it was like visiting a family's lake house. We will be back again for sure!

This place is great and looks just like its' picture. It had more to offer than I expected. The homeowner has thoughtfully considered all your possible needs and designed the place for maximum comfort. We stayed here five days and would have stayed longer if possible. We will come back for another visit. It is conveniently located for all types of activities, including antique shopping and beautiful hiking aside from the obvious wonderful swimming, boating and fishing spot it is. I would rank it a 9.5.

This lovely home on the lake is vacation heaven! We loved having the lake so accessible with dock, kayaks, and paddleboat in good condition. The deck and the patio furniture is perfectly situated with the umbrella even at the perfect angle to block the afternoon sun! All the amenities are just as described. Everything was clean and tidy. There was helpful information in a folder on a counter. Towels, toiletries, first-aid, complementary spices were readily available. There was even a Smores kit waiting. We enjoyed watching the birds. Saw our first bufflehead! Special needs kid enjoyed the sandbox and pool table. We plan to be back in warmer weather to enjoy the water.

Beautiful location, comfortable stay!

My stay felt like borrowing a friend's lake house. It was casual, comfortable, relaxing, and in a beautiful location! If you love nature, this is the perfect place to rent. I saw deer, bunnies, and lots of birds near the house and even a black bear a few miles away! The birding was great...I saw Cedar Waxwings, Stellar's Jays, Towhees, Juncos, and many more. The kitchen is extremely well-equipped. The beds and living room furniture are very comfortable. The deck has plenty of furniture for enjoying the lake views. The owners were great...good communication and very responsive to my questions. A truly enjoyable stay!

Sisters retreat

This place was right on the lake and had two clean bedrooms and a great stocked kitchen. The big sliding glass door was hard to open and close and was squeaky. Wished that it would of had a true king size bed in a bedroom instead of two twins, one we had to pull out if a closet, that made a day bed into a king in the living space. The property owners were responsive and kind. It could have been a bit cleaner overall.

Thank you for letting me know of the sliding glass door, being hard to open and close and was squeaky. Immediately got it repaired. Sorry to hear of the sleeping accommodations you were expecting. The pictures we have including shows both bedrooms and rest of the house and amenities described On our website has always been very clear, and description. We have always have had: one bedroom with a queen size bed, the second bedroom with one full size bed. Living room couch turns into a bed, and a day bed turns into a king size bed, (extra mattress located in the closet). We never had two twin size bed in a bedroom. Sorry for any confusion. Ana

Dock in great condition to leave boat. Kitchen was fully stocked. Just bring your groceries. Ana even provided firewood, sticks, and smores for the little kids. Paddle board was in great condition and paid to rent it. Pool table and Ping pong in the garage. Great way for families to weather the rain together. Such a cozy, amazing little gem!

Our stay was so homey and cozy for the holidays a perfect gem on the water! It had everything we could ever need in a home away from home. Lots of space, we enjoyed the firepit, the barbeque, the TV! Loved the coffees and the beds too so comfy we truly enjoyed this cottage and were there for 10 days! Although it didn't bother us much, it was remote so it is important to know that there is some driving involved. Amazing for the summer, I'd never leave! Water heater had issues....we would have to take quick and I mean really quick showers because the hot water would run out and the dining chairs were falling apart. Other than that though, Ana, thank you for sharing your cottage with us we'd like to come back again it was amazing!

Hi Ana, It was so, so great no matter what - so I didn’t want to call you and be bothersome. J We were more than fine! We would come back again even if we had to sit on the floor. Thank you for everything Ana we actually missed the cabin after we left! Aloha, Mona From: Ana Nielsen Sent: Thursday, January 14, 2016 8:11 PM To: Mona Subject: Lake Roesiger Cottage Mona, Thank You I just received an email, to let me know that you have posted a review. I am pleased you and your family had a wonderfully time. Our goal is to always have our guests feel that they are right at home. After you checked out I went up to the cabin and noticed 4 chairs in the garage and yes I noticed the 4 chairs were coming apart (I am sorry that this occured) but I was also surprised that we did not receive a phone call, we would of had the chairs properly put together. The dinning room set was just purchased, but because of the rotator cuff surgery I had (shoulder) I was not able to assemble the chairs, but my daughter did. I asked her what happened and she told me she did not installed all the bolts:( I do applogize. Now all the chairs are assembled and re-checked. (A new dinning room set bought days prior to your arrival. 2) Water Heater The water heater is only 5 months old, this should of never happened, running out of hot water. The water heater is not even one year old and is under warranty. We also did not receive a phone call. We would of gotten these 2 small issues taking care of imediately without bothering our guests. I work really hard to make our place feel like home and for our guests to be worry free. Hi Ana, It was so, so great no matter what - so I didn’t want to call you and be bothersome. Nice house in remote location

The house was nice however we were much further away from town than we expected. The lake is small but very peaceful. The host has some unreasonable expectations of her guest. For instance, guests are expected to water the outside plants regularly during the stay. What was disappointing was we did this however we were accused of neglecting them. Overall we felt this should be the homeowner’s responsibility given this is an extremely short-term rental. I would probably not rent this again as it is too far away from Snohomish or Lake Stevens.

None of our guests ever had an issue watering our plants, during extreme hot weather. Same day you checked out, I noticed 6 plants were just planted (6 days) prior to your arrival where wilted (soil dry 6” below ground) I asked you nicely if you watered the plants” you replied. yes” and I thank you for your response and I hung the phone. You were never accused of negligence. Next time you make any reservations VRBO or ?, read the policy, check the distance to and from. Lake Roesiger and Lake Stevens is a 30 minute drive. I was never asked. Lake Roesiger is not a small lake, has a three portions. Please log on to Lake Roesiger and click on images. For any of our futures guests, please do call me with any questions you might have. I do reply in a prompt manner.

Breathtaking

We were exceedingly pleased with our stay at Lake Roesiger Cottage. The home is very easy to walk into and enjoy!! The access to the water is amazing!!! The view of the lake from the big windows was fantastic. You feel as if you are on the water all the time - which we loved. The house is clean, decorated very well, and is very liveable and enjoyable. There is a couch, love seat, recliner, stools at the counter, outdoor patio set. The pool table/Ping pong table and kids games was a big hit. We forgot to bring all the ingredients to make s’mores but when we walked into the house on the dinning room table was roasting sticks, marshmallows, graham crackers and Hershey bars;) and we where able to Sir around the fire pit roasting marshmallows. The Owners have though of everything to make us feel right at home. We didn't look around for other entertainment, we had it all right there. We loved the place, We are definitely coming back this summer when the weather is warmer to go swimming, kayaking, use the paddle boat and rent paddle boards and go fishing of the dock:) Thank you for making us feel right at home and looking forward this summer. A tranquil lakeside retreat with everything you need for a relaxing recovery

My wife and I recently stayed at this beautiful lakefront property for a month as a place for her to recover from an extended hospital stay. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the stunning views of the lake and the peaceful serenity of the surroundings. The property itself is charming and well-maintained, with plenty of space for us to spread out and relax. The host was incredibly accommodating and went above and beyond to make our stay as comfortable as possible. They checked in with us within the first day to make sure everything was okay and even provided us with a walker for my wife. They were always available to answer our questions. One of the highlights of our stay was spending time on the dock, feeding the ducks and waving to boaters as they passed by. It was a delightful way to connect with nature and enjoy the tranquility of the surroundings. The kitchen was well-equipped with everything we needed to prepare meals, including a lovely set of high-quality knives and measuring cups that we donated for future guests to use and enjoy. We hope they find them as handy for chopping veggies and measuring ingredients as we did! Overall, we had a wonderful stay at this lakefront property and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful and relaxing getaway. The combination of beautiful scenery, comfortable accommodations, and a warm and welcoming host made for an unforgettable experience.

We are back to sharing our cottage with you:)
We love to come up to the cottage and just relax. Once we are here, we make the house a base camp for fun outings. Just a few miles away is Snohomish Golf Course, I am not the best golfer, but I am working on it. Our kids bring their friends over and go fishing, swimming, hiking and boating. In the Fall and Winter, the cottage is great to come and read a book, if you are an artist, the picturesque setting is wonderful for clearing your mind and being creative.

Why they chose this property

We chose to buy a vacation rental close to our house, knowing that we would get more use out of it. It's a great place to have family & friend gatherings. Our kids come up with their friends and have a great time. The kids fish off the dock, go swimming. Play Pool, Ping Pong and Air Hockey in the finished garage, of 400 sqft, which is not included in the house sqft.

What makes this property unique

Nature, the wonderful view, peaceful and quiet, watching our children swiming and enjoying life.
Our friendly neighbor has 3 children and they are nearly always at the cabin when we arrive.
