About this property

Hiker Heaven!! Come and enjoy.

The greatest network of hiking trails in New England, from the very easy to the very difficult, virtually at your doorstep!! Ours is a secluded, private three-bedroom cape with a spectacular view of the Northern Presidential Range, in the northern White Mountains of New Hampshire.

Randolph is a small town with a unique history. Back in the grand hotel era of the late 1800’s, the guests in Randolph were hikers and trail builders, often academics and clergymen, and some of the cottages in town are still owned by their descendants.

We are minutes from Pinkham Notch, and a half hour from North Conway to the south, Sunday River and Bethel to the east, and Franconia Notch to the southwest. Santa’s Village is a 15 minute drive to the west. The town swimming hole is two minutes away. The Mount Jericho State Park ATV facility is only several miles away, and ATV’s are street legal in Gorham (not in Randolph). Moose Brook State Park and Great Glen in Pinkham Notch Are very close with trails for mountain biking, and the Presidential Rail Trail passes through Randolph. We have a notebook at our cabin with suggestions for hiking, mountain biking, ATVing, restaurants, etc.

We welcome our guests to our cabin, and we expect them to treat it as their home also, and not a motel room.

We have recently decided that we have to charge $10 extra per night for guests with dogs. We ask that the dogs stay downstairs and not be allowed on the beds.

Accommodates 4-6 : the twin beds are trundles.

We had a wonderful stay. The mountain views were amazing. The cabin was extremely comfortable. It was not far from the activities we like to do in Jefferson. We would stay here again.

We had a fantastic stay at Hiker Heaven. The name fits, because we had hundreds of trails within a few miles. There are several good restaurants and a brewery nearby. The cabin was clean and quiet with a great view of the mountains.

This is a cozy cabin in the woods offering a tranquil setting looking towards the White Mountains. The house was very comfortable and we enjoyed the fire pit on a chilly evening with a glass of wine. The owner’s guidebook in the house was VERY helpful and made excellent recommendations for hiking and food. John was very responsive with his communication and offered helpful information for our stay. Thank you John!

What a perfect spot! We stayed before heading out on the Presidential Traverse. We enjoyed the gorgeous views and night sky, the peaceful location, the short drive to the trailhead and the proximity to a good restaurant for dinner. We will be back. Thanks so much!

Rustic well equipped cabin in the woods. Mountain View off the deck is gorgeous. Saw many hummingbirds at the feeder looking out the large window in the dining area. Host John answered questions timely. We did see a young black bear. We would recommend keeping the trash inside the cabin.

I cannot scream praises for this place enough! Booked as just a pit stop on our roadtrip, it ended up being the best place we stayed! By a happy accident we ended up needing an extra day and John was so accommodating. It was clean and had everything you needed for a simple meal while also having every random essential you could think of (or forget) there for you! And the VIEW!!! An incredible place to sit, enjoy nature, and take in the beauty of the mountains. I hope to be lucky enough to return!

This was perfect for what we needed - a place to crash after 23 miles of hiking. I only wish we had a longer stay to enjoy the cabin. Comfy and cozy beds and clean linens were a dream after 2 days in the mountains. We even saw a shooting store while sitting on the back porch!
