Small villa of 40 m2 renovated in 2015, not overlooked, located in a pine forest in the heart of the seaside resort but in a quiet residential area.
Sun terrace most of the day and lightly shaded under the pines.
Swimming pool (June 15-September 15) and deckchairs.
You can even hear the roar of lions in the distance (zoo 800 meters away).
Two bedrooms, travel cot, living room with sofa bed for 2 people, fitted kitchen, bathroom with bathtub, outside shed, washing machine.
Private parking space, cycle paths.
All activities and amenities are accessible on foot and ideally by bicycle (bicycle rental nearby).

Spotless tiny villa

Family of 3 with dog : The unit is tiny, but very efficient, and spotlessly clean. Nice/quiet location (before summer vacations), with parking spot right next to our unit. Kitchen fully equipped, but linen not provided, and no mosquito screens (so don't forget mosquito repellent). Owner was very friendly, and was available if needed (we had no trouble whatsoever). We brought our Aussie with us, with his park that fit easily in the family/dining room, 2 bedrooms upstairs (2+1 beds= sleeps 4) + sofa bed in family room (sleeps 2). Nice terrace (not fully enclosed: opened on one side to parking lot), great for dining outside. Location is nice, close to La Palmyre Zoo (San Diego natives, we loved this zoo too!), villa well located when visiting La Rochelle, Île d'Oleron, Royan. We had a nice, and relaxing stay (unit next to ours was empty). I recommend it.

Séjour à la Palmyre

Le séjour a été très agréable dans un environnement ombragé au milieu des pins et à quelques kilomètres de la côte sauvage dont les plages sont immenses et magnifiques. François a été toujours présent quand nous avons eu besoin de lui et le séjour dans son gîte nous a tout à fait satisfait. Nous recommandons ce gîte sans aucunes réserves.

Au cœur de la pinède, des oiseaux et des écureuils. Petite maison avec une petite terrasse très agréable. Logement bien équipé. Très bon accueil du propriétaire. Nous y reviendrons très certainement !

Séjour d’une semaine à 4 dans ce petit logement vraiment sympa Très calme malgré une certaine affluence à Pâques La terrasse est très agréable et agrandit le logement, la cuisine est parfaitement fonctionnelle, les chambres sont très bien. La machine à laver est un plus très apprécié. Monsieur Gatignol est un proprietaire agréable. Petit conseil: prévoir les vélos pour votre séjour car c’est le mode de déplacement par excellence dans le secteur et les aménagements pour les piétons sont un peu plus négligés.

Superbe emplacement, mais trop proches les uns des autres.

On a passé un bon séjour dans la Palmyre. A côté du zoo c'est pratique, a proximité des commerces (10 minutes à pied). Et sur les principaux axes voitures ou vélos. Quartier très calme, heureusement car les lits étant à l'étage il fait vite très chaud et on doit dormir fenêtre ouverte. C'est un petit logement qui fait partie d'une grande maison coupée en plusieurs appartements. La chambre principale est à l'étage d'une mezzanine et la chambre "enfant" également en haut. Problème avec la literie, très molle, les matelas sont très affaissés pour certains. Il y a une piscine mais elle est dédié a toute la résidence. il y a beaucoup de logements (plusieurs dizaines) donc la piscine etait tout le temps occupée lors de notre séjour par beaucoup d'enfants. Impossible d'y aller. Le problème de ce logement est la proximité avec les voisins pour la terrasse, un petit panneau de bois vous sépare mais on est vraiment très proches. On entend toutes les conversations, on prend toutes les odeurs de cigarettes, et très rapidement on rentre pour essayer d'avoir un peu d'intimité. C'est le gros point noir de ce logement. Il n'y a pas de parking vélos. Vous les laisserez sans fixation dehors.

Erfahrung von Deutschen

alles wunderbar bis auf das fehlende WLAN und Internet, daher auch keinerlei internationale Programme im Fernsehen. Und sämtliche Stühle, sowohl im Apartment als auch auf der Terrasse sind zwar sehr hübsch, aber sehr unbequem
