House of the Angels. An old Winery renovated and transformed into a cosy house
A most typical cave winery of the 18th century, renovated to a residential house. It is composed by two large completely underground caves (Canava domed halls). Caves are interconnected by a low-ceiling corridor and have spacious entrances from the house yard. Spacious open kitchen in the deep of the larger domed cave (living room with two robust wine barrels on its side). Cooking equipment includes kitchen with four electrical burners, electrical stove and all kinds of cooking utensils. Two indoor simple bathrooms, one for each hall include WC and shower. Decoration and style of the house is pure rustic, nearly authentic from the times that the winery was operating. Wine making equipment of former times still stands in the larger hall, like wine barrels and grape pressing machines. All furniture is authentic old and has been used for many decades The private yard of the house is surrounded by a thick wall, safeguarding its privacy. Wall is lower on the direction of the sea for allowing open view to the blue Aegean and the wine fields of Oia. Entrance is from the pedestrian road of the village Finikia is a pedestrian village, one has to walk 200 meters from the closest car access (public parking and bus stop). Fortunately the walkway has a soft slope and very few stairs for the standards of the island.

We loved our stay at House of Angels. Our host Dani was very attentive and helpful with a friendly greeting when we arrived. This is a unique experience in a quiet area close to Oia and busses to other places. Highly recommended!
The place came exactly as advertised. My wife and son and I had a magnificent time walking to and from town from our apartment nestled in Finikia. Our host was amazing at offering suggestions for food and excursions- so nice! We will be back to santorini soon!!!
Protected from the Santorini heat, the cave apt might be hard to get to with your luggage but it is worth it! Host met us in the larking lot and steered is through the maze of walking paths. So quiet and away from touristy Oia, which is just a short walk away. Host had great advice for day adventures and good restaurants nearby. I would stay here again!
I brought my parents to Santorini. We had an amazing stay at this beautiful cave apartment in Finikia. The host met us in the parking lot and guided us through the charming, winding paths. The location was peaceful and away from the hustle of Oia, yet just a short walk away. The apartment had everything we needed, and the host's recommendations for day trips and local restaurants were spot on. Highly recommend for a unique and tranquil Santorini experience!
We found the perfect place to stay when visiting Santorini. While within walking distance to the fun, and busy town of Oia, we were nestled into a quiet neighborhood of beautiful Greece ambiance. I would definitely recommend this location of you want a unique stay away from the tourists. You must be able to walk uneven stone paths within the village. Price was great. Communication with the host was efficient and we were greeted by a very friendly host to tell us the details of our stay.
This place was great! I brought my parents to Santorini and we stayed in House of the Angels for 5 nights. We rented a car from the Santorini airport and drove the 25 minutes to Finikia. We were graciously greeted by our co-host, Daniele, in the small parking lot located at the edge of the Finikia village. He kindly assisted us with our luggage and escorted us on a 7 minute walk through the winding paths of the Finikia village to our place. The walk alone was an adventure and we got lost most days that we were there but we loved every minute of it. It was all apart of the experience. The house itself was awesome. Very clean and more spacious then I was expecting. The master bedroom was really big. The village was very charming and had about 4 great restaurants. It was about a 10 minute walk to Oia. Overall, we loved the location and everything about Finikia and our place. We had the best time and wish we could have stayed longer. I would highly recommend the House of the Angels to anyone who wants to be close to Oia but not be bombarded by the crowds all the time. It was nice to go back to Fanikia after a funfilled day and relax at this cute place in peace. Its such a treasure.
Loved the property, no cars so got dropped off in a parking lot. Our host meet us and we walked to the villa. Lazy small village which was a short walk to Oia. Love the uniqueness of the villa and surrounding! 3 restaurants within minutes of our villa. Market 5 minutes. Just lovely!
This was a perfect location for our family. We loved being in a smaller town outside of Oia, and within walking distance. The home had everything we needed and Daniel was incredibly helpful with everything. Eleni gave us fantastic recommendations in advance to be sure we didn’t miss out on anything during high season, which was incredibly helpful — sailing, dining spots, winery, Oia to Thira hiking trail, etc. We had a most amazing time! It was the perfect base for us to explore the island, only renting a car for two out of 5 days.
