The house was comfortable, clean and the yard was private. My kids enjoyed the ping pong and fooseball. Location is good, a quick drive to Village of Lake George and Warrensburg has a lot of what you would need.
This place was great, with great large swimming pool which was a big plus. Glenda was great and available to answer concerns. The property was comfortable with all what you need. Thanks

Thank you so much for the kind words. Hope you ll return. Glenda
We absolutely loved this property. The home was clean and well stocked for my families needs. We definitely over packed. The pool was a blast! The water was cold and refreshing, after a long afternoon of walking in Lake George. When our last night came about we all agreed we would be back on our next vacation!

Thank you for sharing your family 's experience here. Please do revisit soon. Glenda
The home is exactly as described. Very cute and cozy. Perfect for my family. The pool is huge, very clean and the owner was extremely responsive. We left an iPad and some jewelry behind and the owner was kind enough to mail it to us. Will be staying here again.

In my view the bathroom is a little older but clean, well kept and functional. AND it is in keeping with the cottage / rustic knotty pine decor. . Just an opinion thing. Not sure what is wrong with the backyard. Its mowed and weedwhacked to the tree line. And very neat around the swimming pool with lawn chairs. What?

Could have been better
Property not maintained well. They did just finish installing new pool when we got there. But during the week we did fall through deck in one spot. Boards rotting away. Dishwasher is leaking not installed properly. Toilet was leaking a little bit. Had a chipmunk or mouse problem.I did inform them and they did put traps did not catch anything. Don’t know what it was, but found droppings every day on kitchen counters and stove. Did have many flies and bugs, but we are in the wilderness so I guess that’s to be expected.

Well! Not accurate at all. This property IS maintained on a regular basis. And yes a new swimming pool was just installed. As soon as the rotted board was identified the entire deck was repaired as a safety measure. It was started and completed the following morning while the guests were out for the day. Things happen BUT my husband is a 45 year building contractor., And when I say we moved quickly on this I mean QUICKLY. NOT MUCH MORE TO BE SAID ABOUT THAT! I never heard anything about the dishwasher leaking but NOW the entire globe is reading it along with me. The toilet does not leak but it sweats when there s as much HUMIDITY as we ve experienced of late. Some people just don t seem to understand the difference. We never did see or catch any little critters but there s just no way to know if doors are left open or what the scenario is. Its a great family property and for sure, I ll run the dishwasher to investigate.
Firstly the host did not tell us how to access the property until 1.5hrs after check in time, after several attempts to contact her, when we arrived there was guys there mowing which should have been done before our arrival, then the host shows up to bring a broom? One of the "bedrooms" is an enclosed porch with no a.c, mouse traps on the counter, oven did not work, had to purchase a propane tank for the grill, the deck and railing were very unstable, there were ants and spiders throughout the house, gutter hanging off the side of the house, pieces of tile missing from the bathroom floor covered by rugs. There was more unsatisfactory things we found throughout our stay, but these were the initial things that are relevant. For the amount of money it was very appalling.

Our first experience with Vrbo was not a good one. •Sheets and pillowcases were stained and dirty.•Countertops were not fully cleaned. You could run your hand across it and feel & see a lot of debris.•Thick dust everywhere.Called owner who said cleaning person said it was cleaned that morning. Owner had husband drive over to to see what was wrong. He never got out of the truck to inspect the house & said cleaning lady would come back that day. By the time she arrived we had already gotten settled in so we took the tub of clean sheets and blankets and said we’d do the rest ourselves.Over the next few hours we discovered more issues which included the following.•Ketchup (I hope) splattered on the wall & ceiling in the laundry room.•Bathtub had black mold along many of the edges.•Large spider webs with eggs above the fridge•Ants in box of donuts we had bought after we arrived.•The top step on the front steps into the house is crooked.•The fire extinguisher expired and was last certified in 2015.• Poor electrical wiring, missing wall plates, extension cords run outside through windows and hung in ways that were a trip hazard.•Front door bottom lock broken when in locked position causing us to not be able to open the door from the inside. We had to go around through the side patio door to use key to open the front door from the outside.•Gutters mounted in a way that was a major tripping hazard.SEE PHOTOS ATTACHEDThis is not the definition of “Rustic".

Just OK
We had mixed feelings about this property. The house is dated and a bit run down, but it is roomy with many areas for sitting. Kitchen not well equipped - a frying pan would be nice. Exterior is over grown and grass not cut. Pool not clean. Pool filter running but not pumping much water because it needs to be cleaned. House is on a main road where cars go pretty fast. When we arrived, there was envelope on table with the words “Gratuity for cleaning service” written on it. This surprised me since I paid a cleaning fee with my reservation!!! My biggest issue was with the Checkin process. I was in contact with prop manager about Checking in earlier than 400. I was told they might still be cleaning and cutting grass and cleaning pool. We saw the house had been empty for at least 3 days prior to our arrival so it would have been nice if the house was cleaned prior to our arrival day since I think an early checkin is desired by many travelers.

Ask for a frying pan. We deliver. We offer 19 vacation rentals and my cleaning crews are the best. What makes you think we deliberately didn t clean YOUR house earlier than we did. I m sure we did it on purpose just so you couldn t have early check in. Right, we ll go with that! The grass is mowed every turn over. If guests are there for a week it s mowed at least twice. HOWEVER, since we had HISTORIC rainfall this summer mowing was a bit more difficult. More rain fell this summer in the Adirondacks than ever recorded. Is it possible when the sun came out we ran behind our mowers instead of walking! We sure did. But of course, I m sure maintenance did yours last just to annoy you. Pool cleaners fought the rain all summer as well. I m sure they did YOURS last as well! As for "GRATUITY" you need to look that up in Webster s dictionary. Is this narcissistic thinking or just stupidity? I really don t know. I hope this frank response helped sort out your "mixed feelings". Hope you liked the "dated " granite countertops and custom handmade cupboards.
Every negative post on this property is accurate. This property is falsely advertised, photos on the site confirmed by locals to be 3-4 years old! Porch was rotten (child injured in 30 minutes of being there, no apology for unsafe conditions), yard needed mowing, blackberry bushes over grew the porch, pool dirty, the fire pit more like fire hazard rusted out & over grown with grass, wasps nesting in the siding of the house & game barn, we had to purchase our own cookware (as it wasn’t provided & I’ve never stayed at a VRBO that I’ve had to ask for cookware), a mouse was living in the stove(was told not to leave food on the counters, when it was brought to their attention), oven didn’t work, bathroom doors falling off the hinges & didn’t close unless forced, washer was full of mold, the house was not clean (I paid for a professional crew to clean the house, which the host was made aware of), we left the house better and cleaner than how we found it. This list could go on, but these posts have a character limit. I’m sure the host would like to make some nasty reply about me being stuck up city folk as her husband implied. I was raised country & poor in Argyle, NY. So no, I’m neither stuck up nor from the city. If this was my house I’d accept these issues. But I’d NEVER expect someone to pay to stay in a place under these conditions!! It’s called integrity. Some have it naturally, others seem to never acquire it! Yes, the hosts were made aware of everything while we were there.

I have more integrity in 1 finger than this guest has in her whole body! 1 persons foot broke a hole into the deck and within 12 hours my retired contractor husband and a crew had it ripped out and replaced. You don t know until you know. He didn t fix just the hole, he replaced the entire deck while these guests were out for the day. THAT S INTEGRITY! The blackberry bushes are there because we ve had guests tell us they love sitting on the deck and having fresh berries on their breakfast. I wasn t aware of her claim that my husband said something negative to her but he did comment that she spoke very nasty to him. In my view, it really doesn t matter where you live in this world, there s kind people and unkind people. The swimming pool was torn down last fall because we thought it too large and a new smaller one installed. It had been used once before her arrival. Brand new and clean! We offer 10 swimming pools at various locations with maintenance people watching them. If there s the slightest problem we re on it. Pots and pans? We have an entire room at our shop with just various dishes and cookware. Housekeeping checks and replaces on an " as needed" basis. Not one word from this guest but claims she bought new so she could cook? Maintenance mows the lawns on every turnover of guests. I m willing to respond whole heartedly to each and every situation to it s conclusion but to attack my integrity when you don t know me shows the kind of person YOU are!
Great property! Large and accommodating for groups!

Nice Place, Uncommunicative Host
Communication prior to arrival was immediate and appreciated. However, upon arrival there were a number of things we noticed, from the TV literally falling out of the wall (something we didn’t want to get charged for), dishwasher leaking, modem missing so no internet/wifi (as advertised 🙄), propane tank empty (so had to go exchange even though it was indicated in initial messages there was a gas grill), and we saw only one roll of toilet paper so had to purchase more. These things were communicated to Glenda the first evening. No response the next day. A follow up message was then sent. No response. To be clear, the place is decent, and the photos don’t do it justice, but the lack of communication seriously put a damper on the stay. I have screenshots of my messages to her and I find it baffling the response rate BEFORE confirming the place (general questions), but then being completely ignored upon arrival. Would I stay at one of Glenda’s properties again? Possibly, but only if these improvements are made. We seriously tried to be good guests be communicating these issues early on. Again, the place was fine and did fit our group nicely + the garage was a nice touch (even though there was no indication on how to get it lit up and half the lights were burnt out already). Also, if you plan on cooking, bring your own basic spices and what not, our group definitely forgot to do this!!
The home has plenty of sleeping space for up to 10 people. The kitchen is fully functional with various pots, pans and baking pans. Love the land with the apple tree and of course the pool and ping pong table in the garage. These city dwellers really appreciated the calm serenity of the country with the neighbor far away. Loved it and will go back.
This property was amazing, not only was the above ground pool amazing but so was the garage with the ping pong table. Glenda provided a fire pit and also provided a bbq grill with propane and utensils. The good thing about the fire pit was that the neighbor sells firewood for 5 dollars, so if we ever ran out we went and got some more which was walking distance from the house. Easily fits 6-10 people. Has a pull-out bed in the living room which fits two people and has a futon bed in one of the bedrooms which fits two people as well. Glenda was very responsive and was such a great help before we even got there. Just keep in mind there is only 1 Bathroom, but that didn't stop us from having fun. Lake George is literally just 10 minutes away, which was amazing. Overall this house was awesome and Glenda was delightful.

This was the perfect place for a weekend getaway. The house's location is near many stores and it is only short a drive to the lake. It slept 10 people comfortably and was perfect for hanging out with friends. The yard and pool made for a great hang out spot!
