Year-Round Family-Friendly Vacation Home on Horseshoe Lake (near Brainerd Lakes Area & Crosslake, MN)

Everything you could ask for in an Up North vacation destination - waterfront lake home, level elevation to private, sandy beach, recreational lake for water activities, space to play yard games or just relax and take in the stunning sunset views.

In the summer, our Horseshoe Lake retreat offers a myriad of options: swimming, fishing, tubing, waterskiing, wake-boarding, paddleboarding, kayaking and all sorts of other water fun. Plenty of room on the beach for you to put your chairs to sunbathe or watch the kids play in the sand. Public Access to launch your watercraft less than 5 mins away. Community playground and park with trails only 1 mile away. More than 25 public golf courses within 20 miles. Private dock to tie up your fishing boat or pontoon. Spacious deck, 3-season porch or outdoor wood fire pit offer a choice of where to sit to enjoy the colorful sunsets at the end of the day.

Lake home is fully furnished with basic necessities, and includes options for indoor and outdoor fun. See below for a more detailed list of amenities available for use during your stay.

Conveniently located, Horseshoe Lake also offers close proximity to many communities that boast a variety of other fun and family-friendly activities to explore, including: Crosslake (10 min), Breezy Point (12 min), Nisswa (15 min), Pequot Lakes (20 min), Crosby (20 min), and Brainerd/Baxter areas (20-25 min).

Couldn't have been a better experience. Place is great, yard is great, caught some fish, and relaxed. Owner was super responsive and overly accommodating. We have rented lots of places all around this area and this was the best experience we have had. Highly, highly recommend!

This was the best stocked VRBO we have ever rented. It truly had everything we needed and then some. The house was absolutely beautiful as well as the lake. We saw loons and heard them calling which is a spectacular experience. We spent lots of time kayaking and paddle boarding. Our grandson loved to play on the sandy beach. We would definitely rent here again!

Weekend Girls Getaway

We booked this place for a girls weekend and right away the host was very responsive and willing to answer any and all questions almost immediately. He was very accommodating and even gave detailed recommendations on local bars and restaurants when I asked. The place is even better and felt bigger in person compared to the pictures! The kitchen was fully stocked, plenty of towels, lawn chairs, firewood etc. I would absolutely recommend and stay here again!

Girls weekend

Clean property. Great location, GPS is the best way to find it but it is close to Nisswa, Cross Lake, Brainerd, Crosby… owner was excellent to work with and communicated immediately if we had any questions. Well stocked if you forgot something. Game and movie selection was nice. It was late fall but a few of the girls went swimming in the cold water. We look forward to coming back with some younger family members in the summer when they can swim. Nice beach and shallow water along the shore. Showers were next we’ve seen at a VRBO. Parking was sufficient. Great place!!

AMAZINGLY & AWESOMELY EPIC

That's what my grandkids called it!!.. We have been renting summer homes for years, but this was a dream by far. We just loved the home, it was spacious, for quiet time, or family game nights & plenty of beds for everyone. 3 families gathered here, 6 adults, 6 kidddos. Swimming was shallow, so no worries for our youngest adventurers.The paddle boards were a great hit. We went water skiing, tubing. the grandkids woke up early and didnt know what to do first, fishing was great, we had plenty for meals. The home throughout was filled above and beyond anything we could ever needed. You won't need to bring a thing other than food and clothes. Close by, where the turtle on Wed in Nisswa, which was so fun, we even had a young winner !! Such great memories were made here. The sunsets were amazing!! Thank you so much for filling in on a lost Cananda trip that brought much disappointments, to this most wonderful place, that bought such joy..They cried when we had to leave.. You will see us again!! Thank you for blessing us with your Beautiful Home. and such great memories.. Bill & Janet

Fantastic Getaway!

Of all of the lake properties my family has rented, this was our favorite. The home was beautiful, very clean with spacious rooms. It was well equipped with everything you would need including supplies, games, internet, and TV options. The yard was beautiful grass that led to a perfect sandy beach with no rocks or weeds! The dock was very nice for fishing or relaxing to enjoy the beautiful sunsets. And no mosquitos! Great communication with the manager was also a plus. We would definitely rent this property again!

Beautiful and peaceful

We found the property suited our family of 13 very well. The water “toys” and play station got used a lot. Nice sandy beach for kids or just for sitting and reading or sun bathing. The gradual slope of the lake is great for younger children, also, and the lake bottom is sandy. The lake wasn’t real busy so was perfect for boating and other water craft. Beautiful sunsets!! One of the best places we’ve stayed as a family. Mike Reeves is a super host!!

Stress Free Vacation-pack your clothes & food and everything else is taken care of

We were relaxed from the time we pulled in until we left. All the everyday items provided (so we didn't have to pack) were amazing. We loved the variety of living spaces in the home & open kitchen/dining area. We enjoyed the kayak, lilypad & other water items supplied. Home was totally conducive to our large group of 12. Would choose this property again in a heartbeat!

We were fortunate to spend 4 days at this beautiful lake property with our family. The home has everything you could need for your stay and the huge sandy beach was perfect for building sandcastles (young and old enjoyed this!). The lake is crystal clear and we had no trouble catching fish from the dock too. There are more than enough options for sleeping arrangements and our 10 people had plenty of room to spread out. We felt very welcome and comfortable and I would highly recommend choosing this property for your next vacation. We will definitely be repeat guests!

Perfect Beach Weekend.

This beautiful beach home perfectly accommodated our large family group - 13 of us. We can't say enough about the helpful host or the incredible sandy beach, clear water and stunning sunsets. The kitchen had everything we needed - the best stocked vrbo home we've ever visited. We are hoping to visit again.
