River view guesthouse getaway, affectionately known as "The Racoon House", offers open concept newly renovated kitchen; cozy gas fireplace in living room to enjoy conversation, games, take care of business, or catch up with facebook friends with wireless internet provided. Our house comfortably sleeps 6 in 3 bedrooms with one king, one full and 2 twin beds. The two bathrooms have showers and 1 has a shower/tub combo. If you need it, full laundry facilities are on the main level. Enjoy coffee and conversation indoor or outside on "flora and fauna" landscaped property. Downtown LeClaire is blocks away providing shopping, distilleries, restaurants, Buffalo Bill museum and American Pickers sights. The Raccoon House is located 1 block from Mississippi River with nearby boat launch and it is 8-10 minutes away from TBK Sports complex (via nearby 1-80), shopping, movies, restaurants and casinos. Minimum 2 nights stay. Discount provided for extended stays. You are always welcome here!

We were extremely happy with the accommodations and Karen (our host) was terrific.The only thing I might mention is that if a person has a phobia about raccoons they would not be able to stay in the house because pictures and statues of raccoons are everywhere.

Love this Raccoon house!! So very cute but not over done. House was very clean and well stocked with lenty of towels, blankets, etc.The yard was so nicely landscaped. Plenty of squirrels, deer and birds! We would definitely love to stay here again. Kitchen also stocked well. Lived the racoons in the house but not over done!!!

We loved the property and felt very comfortable and at the Racoon House. The house was well equipped with supplies to make you feel at home. It rained most of the weekend so we were not able to enjoy the outdoor spaces as much as we wanted, but we were able to see lots of wildlife from the sliding glass doors, including a young deer on our last morning. So cool.

The Racoon House was clean, comfortable & cutely decorated! The beds were comfortable w/plenty of room to spread out. Karen & Shawn were great & downtown LaClaire was a fun place to visit. The property was located off the highway & easy to get to. Thank you for a lovely w/e!!

The Racoon House met all our needs for our visit to the Quad-Cities. Very clean and well equipped. We bought a few groceries at the Fareway market which is just down the road. Very handy. Do check out the grounds! The owners have created a beautiful garden oasis. If you are lucky enough…Fireflies provide a fairy land experience in the evenings.

The raccoon house is quaint, clean and easily accessible. The owners, Karen and Shawn greeted us, gave us a tour of their beautiful property and shared the vegetables from their garden..they are so friendly. I will stay there again. We had a wonderful week in their lovely cottage.

It was ideal for family members to meet up and spend time together. This was our 2nd time staying and brought food to prepare in the wonderful kitchen setup. We didn't leave the home in the 2 full days we were there, giving us plenty of time to catch up and enjoy the relaxing setting. The beds are comfortable and spacious. It is great to have two full bathrooms, one on each level. We look forward to making plans for another stay.

Adorable getaway!

Loved our time staying at this house for a weekend! In town for basketball tournaments, and enjoyed being able to have some quiet downtime in between games. Owners were amazing and very helpful with the stay!
