Double Condo with pool at North Beach for big families!

This spacious first-floor double-unit configuration gives you all the pace you need for a multi-family retreat! Units 1&4 are adjoining with an interior door giving you 2 full kitchens, 2 king bedrooms, 1 queen bedroom with en-suite half bath, 1 bunk room for 2, 2.5 bathrooms, 2 living spaces, and access to both front and back porches. Plenty of rockers on both porches give your group plenty of room to spread out and rock your Tybee evenings away with a cocktail or two. The building's basement is a great place to hang out on a rainy afternoon with pool table, table tennis, and game consoles. A 5 minute walk brings you to Tybee's historic lighthouse, Fort Screven, and North Beach. The Barracks pool is an on-site oasis to lounge and cool off.

Pool Seasonality: The Barracks Pool is open year-round. It is heated on the following date range:
October 1 – December 15
March 1 – May 30

Grounds overlook Jaycee Park in the National Historic Fort Screven District which includes Soccer fields, basketball courts, shuffleboard, a playground and more. Tybee's bike path is great for touring the island and runs along the east side of the park.

Enjoy a short four to six minute walk to North Beach to enjoy the sand and surf or a bite to eat at the North Beach Grill.

Free off-street parking for four vehicles makes staying on Tybee even easier for you and your guests.

Cleaning Precautions: After each guest checks out, we have professional housekeepers clean each vacation home from top to bottom with disinfectant, wiping down all surfaces and floors. All towels and linens are professionally laundered and individually vacuumed packed until needed. When the housekeepers are complete a member of our team inspects the home, using gloves and/or disinfectant wipes, to ensure nothing was missed and restock any cleaning supplies. We strive to provide the most comfortable environment for your stay.

Just as advertised. Only issues were microwave didn’t work, cabinet door was off the hinges and I couldn’t fix it, and the fridge light was out. Minor issues, stay was great!

This house was the perfect base for my family’s birthday celebration. It was a very clean and comfortable space. There was plenty of seating for our 9 person group and good open space for a visiting child to play without breaking either himself or any things. The only issue mentioned by any of our party was the potential tripping hazard of a permanently upturned corner of the rug. This was of concern to an older family member.We were not able to use the pool during our stay. When the weather cleared enough to swim, the pool was beyond comfortable capacity with the other guests staying at the property at the time. This was not a problem for us, and I would not have mentioned it without VRBO’s specific questioning. If the pool is extremely important to your decision to stay, be aware that it is not a large pool for the number of potential users

Perfect location & Perfect space

We rented for a family vacation. 3 generations -3 couples and 1- 11/2 year old infant. Perfect location -at park for playground and disc golf course(family tournament), also heated pool, 5 minute walk to beach, light house & marine life center & 20 minute drive to Savannah. I can’t say enough about this property- renovated 1900s army barracks -tastefully decorated, while feeling roomy and uncluttered while being stocked with everything needed for stay. We stayed in Apt 1&4 connected by opened door. All one floor- great for 1 1/2 year old granddaughter to safely move between rooms, while closing the door allowed for a quiet area while playing or napping. Clean and fully stocked. We will stay here again on future visits. We had a great vacation. Family enjoyed beach. I took walk on beach (1hour out & back) where I saw flocks of seagulls, sea birds & pelicans. I also saw a school of dolphins swimming just off shore. Enjoyed our time in Savannah as well. Something for all generations.

Lovely property at Tybee Island

This property is wonderful! Plenty of space for all 9 of us to spread out (Kids and adults). Very clean and well stocked. Quick responses from the property manager. We enjoyed the heated pool and the disc golf course right out the front door. Short walk to the beach. We highly recommend this property. Would definitely stay there again on our next visit to Tybee Island

Spring Break Getaway

The units at The Barracks were beautiful and in such a great location. It was close to everything including beach, bike rental and restaurants. The unit itself was super clean and well stocked. A suggestion would be to have dressers or storage in the bedrooms, it was tricky to stay for a week with few places to put your things! Overall, GREAT stay!!

We miss it already!

We loved the Barracks and would definitely stay there again. Literally a 4 minute walk from the front porch to the sand. We had some initial issues after checking in and Colin was quick to react and take care of us.

Grace was very responsive to the few requests that we had during our stay. The construction quality & attention to detail of 2017-2019 renovations to this structure is outstanding. Our only negative comment is the cleaning staff’s lack of attention to detail. During our stay, I wore white socks while inside the unit. The bottoms of the socks would be filthy (nearly black) after just a few steps across the refinished hardwood floors.

Great place and staff. The historical and modern characteristics were excellent. This place has it all. Thank you for your commitment to preserve Tybee Island and it’s Military history alive and accessible to us today.
