Port Aransas Beach is the perfect destination for a family vacation, with 4 bedrooms is a perfect family-friendly home away from home on Mustang Island. Ocean Village 37 is close to the beach with the breeze and smells of the beautiful ocean. Enjoy the wide-open floor plan with plenty of seating for all of your guests. In the living area, you will be welcomed with a Foosball table with 2 accent chairs and a table, and a separate area with a white leather sofa. love seat and accent chair. Cook your local catch of the day in the fully stocked kitchen with standard coffee maker, seating for 4 at the bar. Dine at the dining table which has seating for 8. There is a washer and dryer tucked neatly in the hall closet. Ocean Village 37 has 4 bedrooms with two master suites. Each bedroom has a TV and open shelving for your hanging and folded clothes. Both master suites (BR1) & (BR2) have king-size beds with storage underneath, each with a private full-size bath. The first guest bedroom (BR3) has a Queen & the second guest bedroom (BR4) offer two sets of bunk beds, twin/twin. There is a full size third bath. Perhaps best of all, you can enjoy the new shared pool and shade of the Palapa. When you're not gathering seashells or building sandcastles, you can swim or paddleboard in the serene gulf waters, kayak or jet ski, or simply watch the dolphins frolic among the boats.

Nice location

Good location, good amount of space for two families with small children. There were quite a few cockroaches and the bathroom tubs and showers were not as clean as we’d like. But overall a good stay.

Review of Barefoot in Paradise

The place was really nice. My only gripe was that there was no beach access by foot. I like to walk to the beach which was nearby but only privately accessed by homeowners living there. You have to take a car to the beach.

Great unit, spacious and well equipped

Four rooms, three bathrooms- Excellent space/bed distribution for 2 families with children. Table sits 8, and kitchen island sits 4. Big refrigerator- new appliances including washer and dryer. Bathrooms are simple, no rooms closets- but very clean. No carpet / wood floors makes it ideal for barefoot walking! TVs in all rooms- leather seats ideal for family gatherings- golf cart helps to get to the beach promptly. Highly recommended.

Bathrooms are simple but very practical. Kitchen is well equipped, and has a la rage refrigerator. Washer and Dryer are new.

The pictures look nice. The pool is very small. There are roaches everywhere. It wasn't very clean. You would think for the prices they are charging they would use some on pest control. I won't go back there again.

Everything’s great but the AC

Loved almost everything about the house, my overall 3 star review is entirely based on the fact that this place has a Google Nest Thermostat and it is clearly being manipulated externally. For the money you’re paying, you should be allowed to keep the house at 70 degrees. It’s hot as hell outside and at a couple times the place was near 80 degrees when we got back from the beach and definitely made sleeping difficult for us at night as it was uncomfortably hot. Every time I adjusted the temperature it would be adjusted back within a few hours. Port A is an annual trip for us, will likely check around elsewhere before booking here next year.

Almost good

Location was great and layout good. A few issues led to poor experience. First we were traveling from Arizona. Arrived an hour early and asked if possible to check in. No reply so we sat outside in the heat for an hour. At 4pm still no code so I had to call. Finally all dishes were dirty including the ones in dishwasher. One bathroom had a horrible sewage smell the first night however was gone in the morning. Worst part was the roaches. They were in the cabinets, refrigerator and bedrooms. I could have dealt with everything else but the roach issue impacted the experience. Lovely home and great location however would not book again due to the roaches. Will add this is our 5th trip to Port A and have never had this issue.

Good Times with Family

We really liked this house in Port Aransas. However it is advertised to sleep 12 when it actually sleeps 10. We had 11 family members and one slept on the sofa which does not make up into a bed. It would have really been a problem if we had actually had 12 people. There were other minor problems, but nothing we could not live with. I did not get replies to queries in a timely manner and one query was not answered at all. Luckily when we arrived there was a young man there to make sure it was actually ready for occupancy. He was very helpful in answering some questions we had, and he supplied some bedding for the sofa. Otherwise we would not have had what we needed. There is a very nice selection of cooking equipment and plenty of glassware and dishes. Only two very small kitchen towels were provided for a 5 day stay with 11 guests. My advice is to bring extras with you if you plan to do any cooking. The bedroom with the queen bed needs bedside reading lamps and fewer decorative pillows. The room is pretty small and there is nowhere to stash the pillows other than on the floor and they take up valuable floor space. Parking was actually better than reported. At one time we had 4 cars safely parked. I asked about parking and was told it would accomodate 2 cars and that there was parking available nearby. There was NO parking nearby so we were lucky and pleased that we all fit. The photos show a golf cart in the garage area as if it is included in the rental. It is not, so the photo is false advertising.

(Mature) “Girls” get away

Very nice... great dishes, utensils & supplies in the kitchen. We did a lot of our own meals & were surprised to find it so well stocked with nice quality items. Would have liked to have more than ONE dishrag & kitchen towel! There are cracks in the front of the microwave & some little tiles missing on the backsplash in the kitchen... I guess some guests get a little rough! The Rt king bedroom/bathroom needs the shower curtain liner either changed out or bleached... mold & mildew growing on the bottom corner that tends to fold back. That bedroom also had a medical heart monitor sticky pad stuck on the wall beside the window...on the right side. NOT OURS! The sink in the Left king bath is real slow...stopped up with something??? These are all things that are fixable... not the things that spoiled our trip... just things the owner/ management needs to take care of. We loved it... right across from the pool... we would certainly come stay with you again! Great tv for movies to unwind at night.... very good lighting for us older ladies to work by or put a puzzle together. Highly recommended!!! Already did on fb! Thank you ALL!
