The owners had the house decorated for our Christmas get away and it was lovely. Clean, awesome fireplace, plenty of room for us. We all enjoyed our visit and would definitely come back and I recommend it as a nice , peaceful comfy place to stay!

Thanks for the great review! We’re glad you had a peaceful stay at the Homestead and enjoyed the nearby activities. Looking forward to having you back next summer!
We had some issues with the property owners and the advertised 14 acres of trails is actually limited to a small field in front of the cabin but overall we had a great stay. The house was clean and we did not lack for kitchen equipment or utensils, the ac units work wonderfully and the upstairs loft area was a big hit with our kids.
We enjoyed our stay. Property was in a great location for us to take our day trips from. The girls enjoyed having their own bedrooms. The hot tub was enjoyed by all as well. Communication with the host was perfect.
We enjoyed sitting out on the porch and in the yard early morning and in the evenings enjoying the peace, quiet and wildlife the would meander by.
The property had everything we needed to prepare our meals and feel like ‘home’ while we were there.
Would definitely recommend this property.

Glad you had a great time! Thanks for the recommendation and hope to host you again soon!
Peaceful, quiet farmhouse! If you really need to get away from it all, this is a good spot. We really enjoyed feeding and watching the deer and just sitting on the wrap around porch. The hot tub at night was fun. The master bedroom is very spacious and the bed is extremely comfortable. Unfortunately the guest mattresses need to be replaced. The owners are very responsive and live on the property. We had some issues with the septic and oven which I’m sure were addressed. But we loved the cozy farmhouse feel and the absolute quiet!

Thank you for your thoughtful feedback! We’re so happy to hear you enjoyed the peaceful, quiet atmosphere and had a chance to relax on the porch and in the hot tub. We’ll definitely look into the guest mattresses, and we appreciate your understanding regarding the oven issue – we’ve already taken steps to resolve that. It was a pleasure hosting you, and we’d love to welcome you back for another cozy stay!
The Homestead ended up being a last minute booking for a short mommy and daughter getaway. We were notified that our original property of choice had a water leak and we could not stay there. After hours of searching the VRBO website, my little girl and I chose The Homestead.
We had a wonderful stay!! It was very peaceful, and was just the relaxing getaway I had homed for. The home was very clean, and had everything we needed. Since there was only 2 of us, we only used the master suite. The king size bed was VERY comfortable. I slept so good. Owners are very nice and attentive.
The loft was larger than it looks in the pictures. I'm almost 6 feet tall and I could stand up in the middle of it. I thought I would have to crawl around up there haha. There is no sedicated lighting up there though (or none we found). Only light comes from a small window at the back of loft area, and whatever light spills over from the living room and kitchen. My daughter was excited about the loft area at first, but she is bit nervous of dark spaces so we didn't spend any time up there After all. I think the loft may be a "work in progress" though, so maybe it will have a desicated light at some point.
Overall we enjoyed it here, and would love to stay again some time.

The house has a wonderful cabin feel w/ charm & amenities (porch/hot tub/linens) to make your stay very relaxing. The ranch grounds were peaceful & check in was contactless, allowing us to so enjoy our stay. Thank you for sharing & trusting us w/ your home!
This property was everything that was described online and more. The beds were amazing and the wraparound porch was a great place to relax. Will definitely go again.
