The upper half of the Nathans Cottage duplex is 3 bedroom / 2 bath unit with 2 queens, and 2 twins. The unit has a flat screen TV in the living room, central air and updated kitchens with granite counter tops. The outside shower with hot and cold water is a great way to wash off the sand after a day on the beach. There is washer/dryer on the back porch that is shared between both units. The location of this cottage has all of your vacation needs within walking distance. It is a one mile walk to downtown Wrightsville Beach, where you will find a grocery store, beach rentals, restaurants and more.

A few steps out of the front door you will find yourself at the Oceanic Restaurant. The restaurant is part of the old Crystal Pier with outside dining and live music. Across the street from the cottage is South End Surf Shop, with paddle board and bicycle rentals, in addition to clothes and sun screen. Sundays coffee shop is located above the surf shop. Take your laptop and enjoy a brew with a view of the Atlantic ocean and east coast surfing. Buy a t-shirt, coffee mug, etc. because you’ll want to remember this iconic spot. Walking on the South end is the best. Be sure to have your camera with you when walking south because you will see the bird sanctuary and inlet. If you like to fish you’re in luck because there is fishing from the pier and surf fishing near the inlet.

Nathans Cottage Upper

Great & Convenient Location

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Nathan's Cottage upper

We chose it for the location and loved it. The rooms were fine and we spent most of our time on the upper porch (great breezes). But, TV didn't work. We called, someone came out..still no TV. Same for the ice maker. No plug in tub. Table but only two chairs...for 6 people? Beds were comfortable. Kitchen very small but adequate. We love South End so were okay with the minor inconveniences.

Older cottage with great porch

This is a classic older cottage furnished with a hodge pod of inexpensive furniture. There is a great porch all the way across the front which we really enjoyed. Beds were comfortable and AC worked well, although twin room has no vent requiring you to leave the door open. The kitchen is very basically stocked with a few pots and pans . We wanted to make brownie mix, but with no baking pans, no measuring cups and spoons and no bowl to mix in , we didn’t make them.. If you plan to cook much, bring some things from home. The house sleeps 6 but kitchen table only has two chairs. Although we had these minor issues, we enjoyed the house, the location, and had a good overall experience.

Great location

The location was the best. The property itself could use some updating. Particularly the 1st bedroom. Needs to be replaced. Otherwise we enjoyed our stay. Very very convenient to everything around the area.
