Kingfisher's Roost is a luxury lakefront two-bedroom nestled at the mouth of Lake Fontana. In the Summer, you will find a calm oasis just outside your door, and after Labor Day, the lower waterline transforms the property into a riverfront home where you can witness the changing ecosystem. No matter what time of year you're vacationing, you will love the beautifully manicured path to the water and the natural stone seating, perfect for casting a line! Enjoy the hot tub or sit by the fire pit while you observe wildlife, or take advantage of the private dock and your own personal gravel put-in, right beside the home. Bring your own boat, or rent one from Alarka Marina, about a mile away.

Perfect for a small family, or couples' retreat, Kingfisher's Roost is furnished with two King Bedrooms, offering maximum comfort and privacy. With views of the water from nearly every window in the house, there's no better way to relax! The open-concept layout of the kitchen, dining and living room makes a perfect atmosphere for sharing family time and recounting the day's adventures.

When you're ready to venture out you can enjoy dining, hiking, and shopping in Bryson City, only about a ten-minute drive. You can also hop on the Great Smoky Mountain Railroad from Bryson City to Dillsboro and enjoy sightseeing through the mountains. Venture to Cherokee for a historical tour or visit Harrah's Casino for games and entertainment. -the house was nice. Not realizing there was another house right beside us. Now looking back in the photos, i see a slight picture of it. -the house was clean, besides spiderwebs everywhere. Laying on the couch, i had spiders on me. -the back porch hadn't been cleaned in a while. -the water was too low to really enjoy the water/view. -the hottub was fine. -bed was super comfortable. -tv/wifi was barely used due to constantly buffering and going down.

Loved this place for a weekend getaway! Sounds of the creek by the fire pit, upstairs bed is super comfy. Quick 15 minute drive into Bryson city. Will definitely be back! Only quarrel is that the coffee maker was not good. Ha.

Amazing cabin!

The cabin was absolutely perfect for our family! The location was amazing, and the cabin and grounds were beautiful! May need to add some more daily essentials in the kitchen such as pans, coasters, etc. We had a great time and would definitely stay at this cabin again.

Senior Graduation Trip

Wonderdul getaway!

We stayed here as we wanted a quite cabin on the water and near kake Fontana. We had two wonderful meals, great quite eveningsbsitting on the deck in the latebevening and the woods came alive with Frogs and crickets. We could hardly hear each other talk. We rented a nice pontoon boat from the Alarka Marina just an 1/8th of a mile away and crusied the lake for 8 hrs. Amazing. The staff was great. Very enjoyable!
