Inside, Compass Rose is thoughtfully updated and wonderfully welcoming. Step through the front door into the open living and dining area, where sliding doors to the right lead out to a side deck complete with patio furniture and a gas grill, perfect for outdoor dining or relaxing in the ocean air. The living room also includes a full-size futon, providing flexible extra sleeping space.

This is a great little property for 2 couples maximum. The vertical standing space in the upstairs bathroom is a little limited and the water pressure in the kitchen sink is lacking, possibly due to limited well supplies. We found all the the other household facilities to be of a good standard.

Kitchen is well stocked with items necessary for preparing meals. Linens were professionally cleaned. House needs some AC for warm weather. Definitely needs a more comfortable sofa. We loved the area.

Great location to stay or to roam nearby

This was a great place to book that was homey and comfortable to stay and hang out, as well as an excellent location to get to other places. Beaches are minutes away, as is the Bailey Island General Store for sundries. And of course the gem of Salt Cod Cafe essentially just 1 block away was very nice. We loved the yard for playing and the neighborhood for walking. The cool breeze in the windows was so welcome. And even with it being on the main road, traffic was not noisy or bothersome at all. The location is also close enough for the outings we took to Brunswick, Freeport, and Portland. Add to that, clear communication and information provided, it was a great experience.

Very nice. Everything well done. Kitchen and bathroom downstairs wonderful. Cable TV gets multiple stations. The little gas propane stove downstairs puts out plenty of heat for cold nights. The downstairs bedroom has no closet but there is one upstairs. Island Connection who handles the property is great. We had a few minor problems which were quickly resolved.

Nice little cottage

This is a nice little cottage that allows one to have access to the ocean. We could easily walk to the local beach for a swim. It is setback from a busy road but could use some privacy trees or bushes out front. The kitchen is well adorned and the house is comfortable with high speed internet and a TV.
