At home in Provence
Superb. Quite luxurious. Quiet and rural yet only a 5 minute walk into Gordes itself. Very genial and helpful management. A wonderful large private pool. Prospective renters should read carefully about the location of the Tower's two toilets in relation to the bedroom. I look forward to returnin g as soon as possible.
Thank you so Much for your review !
We hope to welcome you back Again in the future !
A bientôt

The stuff of dreams. Une chose des reves.
After 13 years we finally returned to La Tour des Baumes. Today, as then, it is indescribably wonderful, as are our hosts (and friends) Jean and Eric. Clean, sophisticated appointments of art and furniture, comfortable bed, extremely private, walking distance to the village, divine outdoor spaces and a fabulous pool. It is our happy place (my wife and me). We shall return!
Dear Kim and Don,
Chers Amis !
Welcoming you back here was just a great pleasure !
We felt like your previous stay was yesterday ! Life went so quick !
We hope to welcome you back before 13 years as then we will be too old !!!!!
See you soon !
Take care !
Amitiés à vous deux
Heaven in Gordes
Tour des Beaumes is a magical property. The grounds are stunning and the romantic orangerie is a visual masterpiece. Swimming in our private pool in the afternoon after visits to the many beautiful villages was an exceptionally relaxing experience....it was hard to leave! The home is within close proximity to a multitude of France's most beautiful hillside villages, restaurants, abbeys and outdoor activities. It is within easy walking distance to Gordes and the views are amazing. As a bonus, Eric and Jean are the most informative and gracious hosts imaginable. It is obvious that they take great pride in making each visit a memorable experience for their guests.
Perfection in Provence
Jean and Eric are the perfect hosts...from the welcoming smile, the bottle of wine and chocolates to the cooled drinks in the fridge and the delicious homemade chocolate cake. They are friendly and always on hand, but aren't invasive. The property is gorgeous and the land around the tower is large and beautiful. It is close enough to walk into town but far enough away to avoid the tourists. It's close to drive to other towns and local markets. The kitchen is well-equipped and there are condiments on hand. The pool area is lovely and private, complete with sun beds, lilos and noodles to float around on. If you need to wash clothes, you have access to Jean and Eric's washing machine. The balcony is a great place for breakfast.
Things to consider...the bathroom is as it is on the webpage - bath/shower no curtain or a hook on which to hang the shower rose. I found this a bit awkward. The bedroom is only accessible from outside. There is an upstairs toilet from the bedroom, but it is only accessible via a precarious spiral staircase (although my husband didn't share my difficulty with it). This, I also found awkward. Despite the awkwardness of these two aspects, I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. If you're looking for a place where you can leave the car, spend a day floating around the pool in the sun and eating out, this is it. Equally, if you want a base for exploring Provence, this is the perfect place to stay.
Fantastic!
Eric and Jean were wonderful owners who created a seamless experience. Property was spotlessly clean and very private. We hope to go back some day!
