Wake up inside a storybook Red Barn perched high above the Blue Ridge with panoramic mountain views from every window. Le Grange Rouge is a top-floor sanctuary where every detail has been chosen for one purpose: a stay that feels genuinely high-end and deeply restorative. Two King suites, a chef's kitchen, a private hot tub, a wood-burning fire pit, and a spacious deck with a grill make this a true four-season escape. Just 20 minutes to Asheville's Biltmore Estate, yet completely tucked away in the mountains.

THE SPACE

This listing is for the entire top floor of our iconic Red Barn. We, your hosts, live in the separate ground-floor unit, so while you will have caring hosts nearby, your floor is completely your own. You have a private entrance, your own expansive deck, and exclusive access to all amenities listed below.

Your Private Deck: A spacious outdoor living area with lounge furniture, a grill, and a sparkling hot tub reserved exclusively for top-floor guests. Morning coffee with mountain views. Evening soaks under the stars.

The Fire Pit: A private wood-burning fire pit with wood provided for slow Appalachian evenings. Every season has a reason to use it.

Dual King Suites: Two bedrooms, each with a King-sized memory foam mattress for resort-quality sleep.

Chef's Kitchen and Amenities: Fully equipped kitchen, drip coffee maker, fast Wi-Fi, streaming apps, and an in-unit washer and dryer.

THE LOCATION

10 mins to Fairview: Daymoon Coffee, Rooted in Wine, Turgua and Whistlehop Breweries, and Hickory Nut Gap Farm are minutes away.

20 to 25 minutes to Asheville: Biltmore Estate, Downtown Asheville, River Arts District, and Black Mountain.

Nature at your door: Blue Ridge Parkway scenic drives and the region's best hiking trails within easy reach.

No pets or animals of any kind due to documented owner allergy. No exceptions.

Your top-floor suite comes with everything you need for a seamless, private stay.

Easy Arrival: Fully paved driveway with no 4WD or mountain driving experience needed. Just drive up and enjoy the view.

Private Entrance: Your own dedicated entrance to the top floor with no shared lobbies or hallways.

All Yours: The hot tub, upper deck, and fire pit are reserved exclusively for top-floor guests. Always.

Privacy Note: We live in the ground-floor unit and are close by if you need anything, but we believe the best hosting is the kind you barely notice. Your floor, your peace.

GOOD TO KNOW

This listing is for the top floor only. The ground floor is our private owner's residence. Each level has its own entrance and there are no shared spaces between floors.

The driveway is steep but completely paved. No 4WD needed. The views at the top are worth every foot of elevation.

This home is strictly pet and animal-free. We have documented, severe animal allergies and must maintain a completely dander-free environment. We cannot make exceptions of any kind.

Cell service can be spotty. Wi-Fi calling is strongly recommended.

We loved our stay at Red Barn Escape! From beginning to end, this was a wonderful experience. Clear directions, easy access, comfortable living space, and terrific hosts made this an incredible holiday. I would say it is as exactly described and you would never know there were visitors downstairs. Thank you to our hosts for being so responsive and providing a warm welcome. The location is also great with easy access to Asheville and surrounding sights. We hiked Catawba Falls - the Upper Falls are definitely worth the hike - and skied Hatley Point. Beautiful cabin with a great view. Mary was an excellent host, answering all communications quickly. Mary went out of her way to help us get around an unexpected road closure. The cabin is remote but not far from amenities. We were excited by a surprise visit from a bobcat! I would highly recommend this place if you're looking for a quiet, mountain getaway.

Le Grange Rouge is the first VRBO my wife and I have ever said we definitely want to come back to. Mary and Liz are fantastic hosts. They are responsive, have good local recommendations, and keep the house in immaculate condition. The view from the property is incredible. After dark, we could see Christmas lights all through the valley and brilliant stars overhead, as we smoked cigars around the hillside fire pit. What a wonderful experience! The furniture arrangement is spacious and fitting. A special note: the inside is bigger than the pictures make it seem to be. And the master bath is clean and bright and fresh. The heated fan was very nice for cold winter mornings and nights, whether we were getting out of bed or coming in from the hot tub in the freezing night air.We can't wait to come back in autumn when the leaves will changing!
