About this property
Piper House in Quaint Fishing Village - Pet Friendly
Newly renovated 3 bedroom, 2 bath home located in a quaint fishing village. Enjoy relaxing on the spacious deck in the rear of the house or enjoying the water views from the balcony off the master bedroom. The master bedroom also has a quiet living area. Ocean views abound from this lovely home. The home is pet friendly as well. The home is located close to two lobster pounds, a town landing with boat ramp, and a major series of hiking trails are just a two minute walk away.
Piper house was bought 6 years ago, and totally restored and renovated, with love and attention to detail. This is a three story house, with three bedrooms, two baths and 2 living rooms, dining room and all new kitchen. New back porch and upper balcony, overlooking the working waterfront and harbor. The house has been furnished with all new furniture, and some beautiful antiques. New carpets, new flooring. TVs with cable and Roku in all bedrooms, and the main living room. A children's game room on the third floor. Or a writers space. High end all new kitchen. And we encourage cooking and baking ! Piper House is an exquisite, new, old home, with water views from most windows. And the sunsets...
As we have never lived there, we are encouraging you to poke around, look in closets, drawers, make this your space. It is important that you are comfortable, and content.
We may be able to find a chef or two, with advance notice. Or purchase your lobsters for you upon your arrival.
S. Addison is roughly 12 miles from the nearest stores, so plan accordingly as far as groceries, gas, pizza...
There is a nature preserve essentially behind the house. Access to well marked trails, to the ocean and beautiful coves begin at a church parking lot 1 minute walk away. There are at least 2 lobster wharves in Addison, one being a 2 minute drive away. Steamers for steamed clams can usually be purchased from the local clammers. Maine has the best blueberries, and one must make (or buy) a pie for your post lobster feast dessert.
There is a town landing very close by, 3 minute drive to launch your canoe, kayak, small boat. It is amazingly beautiful on the water. But watch for incoming fog which happens occasionally. There are many sandy beaches, and sea glass hunting can become addictive. You should see our collection! S. Addison is a beautiful part of Downeast Maine. We have 6 bikes, 4 kayaks, and a canoe for your use. We hope you check it out!
