Mainsail 243 is a beautiful, newly renovated beachfront 2-bed, 2-bath vacation rental condo that sleeps up to 6 people with views of the Gulf throughout! This vacation rental is located at Mainsail Resort, which is alongside an incredible stretch of beach and 8 miles east of Destin/Miramar Beach and less than a mile from Sandestin. Mainsail is a beautiful 15-acre beachfront family resort. Mainsail 243 offers breathtaking panoramic views of the Emerald Coast from all common areas, the private balcony, the master suite, and even the guest room.


Upon entering this modern beachfront condo, you're presented with a beautifully decorated living area and kitchen with an open floor plan. Looking to prepare a family meal? The kitchen is fully equipped with stainless steel appliances and everything you would need to prepare a home-cooked meal. The breakfast bar seats 4 comfortably, and there is also plenty of cabinetry for extra storage during your stay. The living area offers comfortable seating, a queen sleeper sofa, floor-to-ceiling windows with breathtaking Gulf views, and a large Smart HDTV. The Gulf view master king suite, located off the living area, offers an HDTV, access to the private balcony, and a private bath. The master bathroom is updated with quartz countertops and a walk-in shower with subway tile. The guest room offers Gulf views as well, along with a full bed, an HDTV, a walk-in closet, and an attached bath equipped with a shower/tub combination. This unit conveniently has a washer and dryer in the vacation rental condo and can sleep up to 6 guests.


Mainsail is a beachfront resort and offers an array of amenities. You'll enjoy the 2 pools (seasonally heated in the winter), hot tub, kiddie pool, an area with several gas grills, a gym with beautiful Gulf views, a game room with vending machines, covered parking, courtesy patrol, tennis courts (equipped with shuffleboard), wireless internet access, and meeting facilities. Close to the Silver Sands Premium Outlet Mall, golf, fine dining, and a host of other activities, you will be guaranteed a fun-filled vacation!


**Unit will come with one Mainsail parking pass. A $50 charge will be applied per additional pass needed.**

What a fabulous vacation spot!

Our little family of three enjoyed every minute of our vacation. The condo was absolutely perfect and close to everything. Beach service attendants was awesome. The community offered so much for all ages. We have never been to Florida during October and we will definitely be back during this time of the year. Such a great experience from start to finish. Great Beach Vacation

The condo we rented was as advertised, clean and spacious with views of the beach. Unloading and packing up can be somewhat of a pain as you have to park a good ways away from the condo itself. You have to be on the beach at 7:30 AM each day to if you want a front row set of beach chairs. You must stay there until the beach setup crew checks you in sometime between 8:30 - 9:00 AM

Spring Break 2022

This was the first time I have rented where the property was even better in person than in the pictures. The unit was in an ideal location, steps from the beach, close to shopping and restaurants. Very comfortable and the views amazing. Morning coffee on balcony was very relaxing. The rental company Glass Casa provided easy check in and check out. They were accessible to answer any and all questions. I would come back in a heartbeat.

Loved that you have a close visual of the pool from the balcony. We also took advantage of the grills one night. I can’t say enough great things about our stay. The condo was gorgeous, perfectly decorated and cozy. Would definitely stay again.

With the exception of no washer until Wednesday it was enjoyable. The fact that there were no beach chairs without paying for them was kind of frustrating. Not able to sit in front of reserved spots. Owner should consider beach chairs instead of coupons that are only good for 1 person per visit.

Spring getaway

Our first spring getaway since retiring. Property and view were as advertised. Beautiful view of ocean from living room. King bed was comfortable and supportive. Beds are big concern because of my bad back. Place was clean and very orderly. Easy access to beach with showers and a hose to wash off feet and shoes at each walkway. North pool was heated but our use was limited because of weather. Exercise room was clean with a good variety of workout equipment. Only hitch was that we did not receive actual address of condo village nor door lock code that promised for checkin but easily found location of rental management company which was just a few blocks from property. Had a great stay!

I will say the balcony door is tough to get in and out of but thankfully I had my husband to help with that. *** If it's your first time here DEFINITELY ask the lady at the gate to point you in the right direction of building and floor.The building/unit numbering is super confusing if you don't. EXAMPLE- This unit is 243, so you automatically think 2nd floor. Nope 243 stands for building 2, floor 4, unit 3. We helped so many other people while we stayed trying to find their unit because it's confusing but that's nothing against this actual unit but the whole Mainsail property.Overall, we plan to stay here again the unit is so nice and very updated.

Great Stay - Need (minor) Updates

The apartment is as described, with some minor wear and tear showing around the furniture, which is perfectly normal for a property that is likely used throughout the year. I personally found that an air freshener by the door would be beneficial, once we opened the door, the smell of "old building " hit our nose slightly—nothing to do with the cleaning. The place is spotless. It is just the nature of the 80s building. The one star deduction is due to the sleeper sofa and the lack of shutters or curtains in the LR. The mattress needs replacement, and waking up with the sun beating on your face is not fun. Easy fix. We appreciated the clean sheets sealed inside a bag and plenty of fluffy white towels. The property doesn't come with beach chairs and umbrellas, but you can rent them downstairs. Mainsail works hard on the property upkeep except for the elevators. They are atrocious lol. They didn't work a couple of times, but we took the stairs or other elevators. We also appreciate the luggage cart that is available to haul our staff up to the apartment. As others said, the beach is fantastic, and there are plenty of shopping and restaurants around. We had the privilege of seeing a couple of dolphins from our verandah, and nothing beats that! The Glass Casa was easy to work with and kept us informed throughout the process. Also, please note that the area uses Central time, which we didn't realize right away. This was our first time in the Panhandle, and it did not disappoint!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We stayed at Mainsail in unit 243 for 10 days. The unit itself is very nice, the photos are accurate. The proximity to the beach was great, no beach stairs, just a boardwalk directly out to the sand. However, the Mainsail complex itself is rundown and not maintained well. The elevators were filthy and only worked intermittendly and you never knew which one was going to be out that day or night. I have no problem taking the steps up or down but there are times the elevator was needed due to carrying groceries, luggage etc. Overall we had a great vacay, we've been vacationing at Miramar Beach for 15 plus years and thought we'd try a different condo complex. We won't stay at Mainsail again. I will say, the Destin Palms staff was great, we had an AC unit issue when we arrived and they were quick to respond and have the unit repaired within a couple days.

Pretty Condo with Comfy Beds but Other Issues

Some issues for the maintenance staff and management to correct were mice in the condo, a dripping vent in the master bathroom, and the internet does not work. The mice keep eating any food we left out, like apples, until we figured out what was going on. Reported to maintenanceThe vent dropped all over the master toilet all week. Reported to maintenance. The internet says the account needed to be activated. Ended up tagging on another units WiFi, just wasn’t strong enough for our work computers. Left a message for the property managers; never heard back. Would definitely make sure the mice problem is resolved. Isn’t pleasant for one to run across your foot.
