nice retreat spot

Perfect winter getaway
The cottage is easily accessible yet very private. It is just as described, full of natural lighting and spacious. Within a short drive there is a food store, an IGA in Boiceville, also a liquor store and an excellent bakery, Bread Alone....who could ask for more? The kitchen is well stocked so we were able to cook dinner, plus a few good restaurants nearby as well. The Boiceville Inn was a friendly local spot with good food. Just up the road in Phoenicia there are several other good restaurants. Also convenient are many hiking trails. We were fortunate to have a night of snow so hiking the next day was beautiful. The trail up the Kanape Brook to Ashoken High Point was just perfect with the fresh snow, terrific views from the top but also a well graded trail the whole way up with beautiful stream views. It was a ten minute drive from the cottage!
The wood stove made the cottage extra cozy and warm and the other heating units were more than adequate, except the bathroom stayed chilly with no heat source.
Sal was very helpful and answered any questions quickly.
We hope to come back in a warmer season as well, but it was a perfect winter getaway.
This was truly a cozy cabin with beautiful windows next to the mountain. The wood burner keeps you warm while enjoying a cold winter night on the couch!
