Nothing to dispute about this review, but just to provide a little more clarity, we do not allow pets at this home and unbeknownst to us, a guest brought their dog against our house rules and we didn't catch that there was dog poop in the yard. That same guest also broke a piece of window pane, which unfortunately took the glass company a while to schedule as apparently everyone decided to renovate their homes amidst the pandemic. We were very apologetic for the issues and we did refund the guest a significant amount of their booking for the issues. We strive to do our best to provide a great home and unfortunately, we came up short for this guest. But to be fair to us, please look at all the other 5 star reviews we typically get and please know that our primary goal is to provide a well furnished, clean, and comfortable home that people enjoy.

We take responsibility and blame when warranted, but in this case, it was definitely not warranted. I'm not going to write anything about a crazy guest, but would like to clarify a few things for anyone reading the reviews on our home. 1. This is a nice home, and by nice home, it's an approx $600K home within walking distance to Old Town Scottsdale's Arts District. We fully renovated the kitchen and spent about $80K sprucing up the home and the property. It was built in 1954 and it does have some original features, such as the original casement windows. We do our absolute best to provide a clean, comfortable, and well furnished home at a fair and affordable price to many travelers. There are million dollar home VRBOs in this neighborhood and their nightly rates typically exceed $1000 per night in peak season. 2. The neighborhood and location is great. While this neighborhood was built in the 1950s and does have some original homes, many of the homes have either been renovated or the older homes have been torn down and replaced with $1.3Mish homes. It's almost impossible to buy a home in this neighborhood for less than $500K and new build home in this neighborhood sells for well over $1M. Everything is relative, so if you live in a $5M home in Aspen, this neighborhood may seem pretty low brow to you, but most people would see this neighborhood in a positive light, especially if you enjoy Old Town Scottsdale and like the idea of being a short walk, bike ride, or golf cart taxi away from all the restaurants, shopping, and nightlife. 3. There is no broken window - the window this guest is referencing was a opaque window over the guest bathroom shower and it does have a crack in one pane of the glass. We plan on replacing all of the casement windows in the near future, but this is the only guest in 3 years that has ever commented on that hairline crack. We did have a previous guest break a window several weeks ago and it was replaced with new glass. 4. The "fiercely barking pit bull" is actually a really nice dog that belongs to a MLB pitcher that is staying next door for Spring Training. I've spoken to him about his dog and he tries to be a good neighbor. He is just renting and departs approx April 2021. 5. The home has a porch light 6. We own and self manage 4 homes in Old Town Scottsdale. We're VRBO premier hosts and we strive to provide a great experience for our guests on all 4 of our VRBOs. Approx 90% of our guests give us a 5 star review.
