Home Truths:
- This home allows pets for a fee. If undisclosed pets are brought into the home without AvantStay's approval there is a fine of $500 per pet.
- This home is located in a neighborhood with a strict noise ordinance policy and therefore is only suitable for quieter groups. Please make sure you are comfortable with these policies before renting this home, otherwise, if violations occur you may be subject to a fine that can reach up to $10,000.
- Bookings must be made at least 24 hours before check-in. Same-day bookings are not permitted.
- Absolutely no exterior amplified music is allowed. Violations will result in a $500 fine.
- While we do our best to notify guests in advance, unannounced power outages may occur due to unexpected city maintenance.
- No events are allowed unless pre-approved and coordinated through Avantstay. This includes but is not limited to: rehearsal dinners, wedding receptions, birthday parties, and social gatherings.
- All guests must comply with local laws regarding outdoor lighting, quiet hours, and limitations on parties or gatherings.

This is a smoke-free property. Violation of the no-smoking policy will result in forfeiture of the security deposit, a $300 smoking fee, and liability for any fire or property damage costs.

As part of our commitment to being good neighbors, occupancy limits and quiet hours (9pm-8am) are strictly enforced. No speakers or sound systems will be provided for use in our properties. Violation of any noise ordinances will be subject to fines that can reach up to $10,000 per violation.

Events or parties are not allowed without prior written approval and an additional fee. Any unauthorized parties or events will be shut down and a fine will be assessed. Please inquire for more information about our event policies and fees.

There is nothing more important to us at AvantStay than the health, safety, and experience of our guests & staff. We've enhanced our cleaning and sanitation protocols and are taking extra care to disinfect all surfaces between reservations with hospital-grade disinfecting solutions.

As a reminder, we do work with 3rd party vendors to maintain the property, and although we adhere to the strictest CDC guidelines and advise all contractors to wear PPE equipment, we can not always enforce. We strongly advise guests to please deny access if any vendors fail to meet and adhere to these standards.

We had a group of 9, and the house was definitely large enough to accommodate everyone comfortably. There was plenty of space to spread out, along with several nice areas where we could all gather and spend time together.The outdoor patio was a great spot to relax, although the ocean view is fairly limited. The yard itself was overgrown, which made it less ideal for kids to play in.The kitchen is well equipped with utensils and essentials, but you’ll want to bring your own seasonings if you plan to cook.One thing to keep in mind is the location in terms of walkability. It’s a fairly steep hill coming back from nearby restaurants, so you’ll need to be comfortable with that. The beach is also not within easy walking distance.Overall, it’s a great central location for exploring the San Diego area and worked well as a home base for our group.

Eighth Grade Graduation Trip

We had a lovely time going to Pacific and Ocean beach as well as a fun experiences at Balboa park and the local aquarium. Great location for shopping, food, beaches, culture and fun times with friends and family.

Family vacation

Family trip with kids and grandparents. House was great except sound insulation is very bad. You can hear everything anyone is doing in all other rooms. If some people go to bed early, you basically can’t even walk around the house without making a lot of noise. Neighborhood is walkable and nice.

Week in Point Loma

Our family - 6 adults and 4 children - gathered in Point Loma for a sad family occasion. The house was perfect for our family for the week. The house was spacious, comfortable, clean, modern, contained all conveniences and was in a good location for our purposes. We recommend this property without hesitation for a group of our size and diversity. We are totally satisfied with our experience in this property.

Don't judge a book by its cover

The house was absolutely beautiful and professionally cleaned. The communication and service from AvantStay was excellent. the only "complaint" I have is the exterior of the house. There are 3ft+ weeds all over the front and the back of the house. I often am looking to book rental houses for work related stays and I would love to re-book this house however, I am weary because of the outside maintenance. When you look at the house form the outside it doesn’t look cared for which doesn’t match the inside at all.

Let me start by saying the pictures do not do this house justice. Beautiful house and neighborhood. We booked this house to accommodate 6 adults and 8 children for a short family Christmas vacation. With14 people in 1 house, you can feel like you are on top of one another, however there were so many areas to spread out you couldn't tell. The noise rule we received in our email was a little intimidating because it made it seem like you couldn't make any sound however the magnet on the fridge was a lot more comforting. We had 1 hiccup with the hot water but we reached out and they responded immediately and had someone out in no time. This was the first house we stayed at where we didn't wish we packed extra plates, pots etc, they had everything. Normally there is enough for 5-6 but there was plenty of everything for all 14 of us. We loved our stay here and debated extending our stay just to enjoy the house longer. We have booked several houses and this is my top 2 favorite house we stayed at.

Overall it’s a nice size house. Lots more could be done to the bedrooms downstairs.

Need a tv, dresser, and more design aesthetic in the downstairs bedrooms! For the rental price of the house you would think that’s expected. Family literally had to live outside of suitcase for the week. Carpet also needs to be replaced in downstairs bedrooms. The overall cleanliness of the house was ok. The bathroom floors and baseboards felt dirty. There were lots of dead bees outside on the patio. There weren’t any kitchen towels available in the kitchen. Overall nice home, but housekeeping needs to do a better quality job.

View in San Diego

We had 6 adults and 2 children and had plenty of room to spread out in this wonderful home near Sunset Cliffs. Rooms were spacious and the 3 1/2 bathrooms ensured we could all get ready in the morning with ease. The kitchen and dining room sell this rental -- if you need to sit 25 for dinner, this is your place. The living room was smaller than I expected but we were able to adjust a few pieces of furniture from the den to allow more to sit and chat. Kitchen is well equipped and the garage is a bonus. Due to the slant, it's really hard to get 2 cars in the garage but it does fit one comfortably. Parking is an issue on the street - apparently lots of trades people or multiple car houses nearby. Downstairs bedrooms don't have TVs - not an issue for us but can be for some. Carpet downstairs does need cleaning or replacement. We will definitively consider this house again for a large gathering of family.

Almost perfect

The location and the property itself were wonderful and made for such a great visit to San Diego. Definitely a recommended place for larger families that want to stick together and enjoy lazy mornings and evenings together. Accessible to just about everything in the city within minutes. Almost perfection. There were a few items that needed to be addressed. But all were immediately attended to once we contacted the managment company. These were inconveniences that they should be able to figure out before tenants check in. So hopefully they took notes. Most of them were minor like missing iron, sporadically interrupted wifi or no wash clothes or hand towels although plenty of bath towels. A couple more pressing concerns were a shower faucet that needed repair because of a bad or broken install. And a garage entrance in the alley way that's so steep that it scratches the bottom of the car frame as you try to park. Plenty of street parking out front so we opted not to use the garage. Additionally there is an open lot right beside the property that had old railings and some other trash items lying around. Couldn't tell if it was part of this property or not but it was a little off putting seeing as no one seemed to care about it enough to clean it up. Overall, still enjoyable place. Beautiful views of the sunset and ocean all in a nice quiet neighborhood. Thank you for the memories!
