I cannot say enough about the hospitality of Caleb and Bridget Tucker! We have been guest to their home for at least three years now, and it is so well stocked, clean, and has lots of fun things to do! Not to mention the view of the mountains, which is absolutely gorgeous!
From the great communications with the homeowner, to the easy check out... the experience was great. Very clean, well equipped, upgrades and beautiful views. Can't wait to go back on our next trip.

Beautiful, spacious, comfortable, well-appointed home with a breathtaking view! The screened porch and pool/ping pong table made our stay absolutely perfect! Highly recommend this property!
Thoroughly enjoyed our visit here! We were celebrating our parent’s 50 Anniversary, and plenty of space for our group. Plenty of beds and bathrooms. Loved, loved the back porch with the gorgeous views. Owners are very accommodating and we had everything we needed at the house.

The host were very helpful and easy to communicate with. We had everything we needed. The views were beautiful from the deck! We were there for a weekend wedding. Three families stayed here comfortably. The downstairs space was great for the teenagers with a pool table and ping-pong. Wish we could’ve stayed longer!
A beautiful, welcoming home with all of the amenities
We had to use leader ship training, retreat. The kids loved the home and how well cared for it was we went on a hike and swimming and especially enjoyed the pool/ping-pong table and View!
My first reaction to this property was: WOW. The pictures don't do it justice! This location is not only stunning, but the house is even prettier, more spacious, and delightful in person. We stayed here in mid-June with two grandparents, three grandkids, and the parents to all the crazy children and fit perfectly with room to spare. The TVs kept everyone entertained, the views from the outdoor patio were beautiful (even in the fog), and we had a wonderful time being all together and enjoying each other's company. Bridget was a thoughtful host and excellent with communication.
A quick note: the pool and splash pad at Wildcat Recreation Center was fantastic, but you will have to pay $6 per person extra. If you plan on the full day there, it's all good and for us, it was totally worth it.
The road in is VERY curvy. Try to plan your arrival during daylight hours, especially if you're used to flat, Midwestern roads like us! My husband loved it, but this kind of driving isn't for everyone. It certainly makes the views worth it!
Also, please listen to Bridget when she tells you to keep the trash in the garage and the door closed: we saw a black bear snooping around the front door of the neighbor's house on our third day there! It was so cool, but we were really glad that we kept everything locked up!
We highly recommend a stay here and hopefully can return again next year!

Thank you for your kind words! We are glad y'all had a wonderful stay. So jealous y'all got to see a Bear! We haven't seen one yet. We hope to see you back in Big Canoe!
Renting this home is absolutely the best vacation rental experience I've ever had. The Tuckers are incredibly responsive and accommodating, and truly treat their guests like family. The amenities are in no way "second string" -- you have all the kitchen equipment you could need, there is plenty of everything, the quality is excellent/not flimsy, and we were able to cook and clean to our hearts' content. The screened-in porch is PERFECT for enjoying the view and one another's company, with tons of seating and an excellent TV set-up. The rest of the house likewise has plenty of very comfortable furniture with several different areas for conversations, games, or watching competing football games. The bathrooms and towels are luxurious, and I was as comfortable as if i were at home. There is plenty of parking if you have several groups arriving independently. Thank you, Tucker Family, for sharing your gorgeous home with us! We'll be back!!!
Our family had such a wonderful time at “Tucked Away”! The location is wonderful, flat driveway, gorgeous view, fully stocked kitchen, ping pong and pool table for the kids, it was truly a wonderful week! The house is great and had plenty of room for our family of 5 to sprawl out. Enjoyed coffee on the screened in porch each morning as the sun rose and enjoyed all the amazing amenities that Big Canoe has to offer. We would absolutely recommend “Tucked Away” to our friends and family.
Our 2nd stay at Tucked Away . All expectations met. The setting , the house , the porch . Comfortable and restful . Plenty of room for our family to enjoy.
We had 11 friends get together and there was plenty of space. It was an easy drive into the neighborhood. The porch makes the house a great place to gather and be outdoors.
This whole Vrbo experience was seamless from start to finish. We had a last minute snafu with another cabin, and Bridget was beyond helpful getting us into this one. Communication was fast and thorough. This house is well-decorated with a great layout for families and larger groups. Most of it has been recently updated. The owners love this place and it shows. The downstairs basement area has a TV, game tables, and a kitchenette in addition to two extra bedrooms. The kids loved it down there-again, very well appointed, but without sacrificing comfort. The view from the porch is amazing, the kitchen has everything you need, and the beds, pillows, and linens are top-notch. We would definitely stay here again and will recommend it to anyone heading out to Big Canoe!
This place was absolutely perfect. The house was amazing and had all the cooking items we needed. Bridget was extremely helpful and had plenty of great suggestions for things to do. 10/10 would stay here again.
This property is very nice, very clean, outstanding, very big, great for family reunion, I’ll def go again, the owners were very responsive, everything about this place is great,
We loved our stay at Tucked Away! The house was perfect and there was plenty to do for our family over a long weekend. Host was extremely communicative and helpful. We recommend!
Tucked Away is nice, clean, spacious and tastefully decorated property. Our family (6 adults, 2 teenagers) had a wonderful time enjoying the mountain view, cooking/grilling, playing pool/games, sightseeing and resting.
We had a wonderful time staying at Tucked Away. The place was even better than we'd imagined with plenty of homey touches and modern amenities. There was more than enough room for a full crew of folks, but we simply enjoyed the quiet, amazing view off of the back porch as we soaked in the fresh air. The hosts were incredibly helpful and responsive and we are already planning for the next time we come back to Big Canoe.
We had an altogether wonderful long weekend stay at Bridget and Caleb's place. The mountain home was spacious, clean, and very well furnished. The home and the mountain setting made for a very enjoyable long weekend in the north Georgia mountains. We also really enjoyed getting to explore Big Canoe's hiking trails and parks. Bridget was very communicative and helpful and recommended a great nearby restaurant. We can't wait to go back!
Our stay in Big Canoe was so nice! My husband and I stayed here with our daughter (18 months old), and another couple. The house is very tidy and spacious. Beds are comfortable, and the bathrooms had plenty of towels. We cooked most meals at the house, but we also enjoyed going to a couple local restaurants that were great (Home, and Sourwood). The men enjoyed playing a round of golf (for a fee), and said that the course had beautiful views. I would highly recommend this property! We will most certainly book again!

About the host
Hosted by Bridget and Caleb Tucker
We are Bridget and Caleb Tucker. We live in Atlanta, GA. Caleb has been visiting Big Canoe and this house since he was young. Tucked Away was built 20 years ago by Caleb's grandparents. Caleb recalls many childhood memories of summers, holidays and weekend visits with his grandparents and family. We got married in Big Canoe at the Chapel in 2018. When the time came for Caleb's grandparents to move to a retirement community, we were presented with the opportunity to purchase the house. Caleb and I felt like it was a no brainer to keep the house in the family. Fast forward to now, we are so excited to share our house with others. We hope you enjoy it and make memories at Big Canoe the same way we have!
Why they chose this property
The porch view will not disappoint you. Atlanta is visible on the clear day from the deck.
