This is a big, beautiful home with 5 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, and room for a maximum number of 12 guests total (no exceptions)! *Important Note: A 4×4 vehicle and possibly snow chains will be necessary to access Aspen Mountain Lodge property during the winter season.*
From the moment you walk in, you’ll love the cozy, yet modern mountain vibes of this spacious lodge. The first bedroom will be to the left of the entrance, equipped with two sets of twin bunk beds and two couches for hanging out. This bedroom also comes with its own entertainment system! Passing through this bedroom, you will find another bedroom with a queen-sized bed and a full bathroom.
The fully furnished kitchen, dining room, living area, and laundry room are located up the stairs on the second level. The kitchen boasts plenty of counter space for cooking, though it’ll be hard to keep your eyes off of the gorgeous mountain view from the floor to ceiling windows in the dining room. The living area is complete with a flat-screen TV where you can watch satellite movies, or bring your favorite DvDs from home to watch with our DvD player. We also have a great selection of movies in the office that you can borrow! Of course, this lodge comes with high speed WiFi, so you can enjoy all the conveniences of home as you relax by the glow of the wood-burning stove. The high speed WiFi also makes this a great choice for those who work remotely.
Two more bedrooms are located on the third level of this home. Both are equipped with king-sized beds and Tvs. The first bedroom has its own private bath, while the second has access to a hallway bathroom. With gorgeous views, these bedrooms are great for those who like to spend quiet evenings reading or nature watching. Both bedrooms also have sliding doors that lead out to the deck area complete with a hot tub! The guest authorizes a $500 security deposit refundable after inspection of hot tub upon departure.
In the loft is the last bedroom in the house. It comes with a king-sized bed, a Tv, a couch that overlooks the living area, and access to the middle-level bathroom.
Out back, there’s a large deck for you and your party to enjoy the views of the Carson National Forest. There’s also a gas grill for a fun Barbeque! Kids will love the large backyard and congregating for s’mores around the fire pit.
Whether you are enjoying the summer sun by lounging in the hammock out front, or warming up by the wood-burning stove, this comfortable and spacious lodge is great for most groups!

HORRIBLE! Misleading, Deceptive, Unethical! No Hot tub, No Deck, No trailer parking, No TV, DVD, Satellite, the "game room" ...IS the 2 car garage...so there is no 2 car garage. The steps (or any other part of the property) have not been shoveled (other than by me and my boys) this SEASON!!! SOOO extremely dangerous!!! No handrails? Oh, it's 80 minutes...1 hour and 20 to get to Taos...if that's where you want to ski...like we did. The description leads one to believe it's 3.1 miles away. NOT!!!
I gave the"owners" who knows if they even know what's going on - the property managers ( Reservations Unlimited ) 2 weeks to respond to me before I left this review. I asked them o please edit their post. They did not even respond to me. VRBO. You should DEFINITELY look into this SHADY operation. I am a vacation rental owner and host for 6+ years, and am darn proud of my super-host status. I now what to expect, and this property (Aspen Mountain Lodge, in Red River) should be removed from your service. They are unethical at BEST! 6 rolls of TP for 12 guests for 3 nights? No trash bags, no trash cans, no condiments of any kind, barely any utensils...cleanliness a negative 10! Had there been a woman there...at all...for one moment...we would have gotten a refund and stayed somewhere else!

We would first like to start our response to your review that we are quite shocked by your false statements, especially since you are a host yourself.
Your first statement was about the hot tub. We had told you well in advance before your arrival that the hot tub was not working, and that it couldn't be replaced before your arrival. You stated that was fine and proceeded to keep your reservation at this property. Your complaint about there not being any trailer parking was quite shocking. It has trailer parking, it was just buried by the massive amount of snow that came before your arrival. The entire town was suffering from these storms. Did you bring your trailer, because we don't recall seeing one, or you contacting the office about trailer parking? Then you stated that this property didn't have TVs, DVDs etc. As you can see from the pictures it does have everything we stated it did. About the shoveling, We had members of our team come to shovel you a walkway. Again, we were getting a ton of snow, and since you are from Colorado, we would think you would understand that. No handrails? We would assume you meant outside by the steps that are leading up the front door. If this was an issue for you, why did you reserve this property when the first picture in the property shows the steps to the property? You rented this through VRBO and as you stated are an owner yourself. You complained about the drive time to Taos from the property. We did not say in our description that it was 3.1 miles away. You got that from what VRBO pulled, which you, as an owner knows that and that they give this information based on a bird's eye view. Now let's address the toilet paper. We all know that vacation rentals do not get daily service. In fact, many hotels don't do that anymore unless you request it and it is scheduled with advance notice. But you had more than enough toilet paper for you and your guests, and if you needed more, all you had to do is ask. You also stated that there wasn't any trash bags or trash cans. etc, which is also false. You actually said in an email to us if you didn't do your dishes or take out the trash you would call it even. Then you said if we didn't charge for not taking out the trash or doing the dishes you wouldn't leave a bad review. This is not a bad review, this is a statement of falsehoods. So obviously there were trashcans, trash bags, etc in the rental. As for condiments, we don't leave those in our properties due to possible contamination. As a business that is primarily run by women, we are unsure of what being a woman has to do with your stay? The property was cleaned and there was nothing unethical or misleading. We do not give in to threats and take care of our guests and our owners. We are saddened that you feel you have to do something like this and try to discourage future guests from using a wonderful property as such.
This was the perfect place for our family and friends to get away for the weekend before the kids started school!! Everything was wonderful! Thank you for giving us a slave to create lasting memories with our loved ones!!
We brought our 3 daughters and their families and had plenty of room! When it says you need a 4wheel drive to get to house, you do!! Property needs some upkeep but overall was wonderful and enjoyed our stay!!
