My favorite place to stay when I go home to Goshen! It's super comfortable, clean & in a great location - just a few minutes drive to Legoland & within walking distance of restaurants downtown as well as Trailside Treats (for delicious ice cream!) & the Farmer's Market when they are open for the season. Walk outside in the morning & you can watch the horses getting their exercise at Historic Track. Also, Emily is a wonderful host & very responsive to all questions!
Our host was responsive and helpful. The property was clean and well stocked. We especially enjoyed the perfect water pressure in the shower and an AC that kept the rooms cool enough to sleep (68F) during intense heat (90s). Goshen is a cute town with lots of great family spots, on top of easy access to LEGO land...we will definitely revisit.
We had a wonderful time celebrating with family. The location was great and the apartment had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. Communication with the host was very good. We would definitely stay here again.
A perfect place. Beautifully restored, perfectly finished, and very clean. We stayed for a family wedding weekend and this could not have worked out better. Will be back for sure!!
Host supplied all our needs
Beautiful property, but the guess that we're in the above apartment were very loud and early mornings 12am to hear banging and stuff dragging across the floor left me unable to get a good night sleep.
My family and I needed a place to stay for our trip to Legoland. This property was less than 10 minutes away, the accommodations are spacious, comfortable and clean, and it was a perfect for my family. Our children are 6 and 8.
We loved the conversion of these stables. The property was charming and comfortable! Walking outside this morning and seeing the trotters on the track across the street was so fun! Would definitely go back!

Thank you. Looking forward to having you back. You were lovely guests.
We had our 2nd biannual family reunion in Goshen. This was a great location from which to walk/ meet other family who both live in Goshen & rented elsewhere. While we didn't spend a lot of time at the apartment, we were very comfortable and had all the basics (coffee, snacks, laundry detergent,...) that we needed. Thanks very much & best wishes for a successful completion of your beautiful bed & breakfast. We will be back!
The apartment was clean and well maintained. There were snacks and coffee there for us when we arrived. The beds were comfortable. The sofa and chairs were not very comfortable, but suitable.
The neighborhood seems nice, safe, and easy to travel in.
The driveway is not paved, so a little rough.
Great communication from the start. Immediate responses from owner. Spotless. Exactly as described. Very Comfortable. Great location. Walkable to town for dinner. Perfect getaway! Saw the horses training every morning!!!

Hope you return again. You were an excellent guest
The space is large and beautiful! Kitchen fully equipped to cook. Very clean. Adjustable heat and plenty of hot water with a nice large shower. Location to restaurants/bars and shopping terrific. Hosts available quickly if need them- we needed batteries for remote. Choosing this location should be a no brainer! We would love to come back to stay again!
I rented two of the spaces in this building for a family gathering regarding the passing of our mother. Emily was great and the accommodations were perfect. My only regret is that this place was not available for the past 20 years that I have been visiting Goshen. Very well done renovations. A bit of construction on house next door but it truly was no bother.
There has to be better sound proofing from the upstairs. Sunday morning at 5am the walking back and forth was loud. Then at 5:30 the kid woke up and started his running back and forth, back and forth, abac and forth, etc. etc. etc.
At 6:00 they exited the room.
We also heard it Saturday morning.
Definatly a problem with the sound. It is not something you can ignor once you wake up.
I build hotels all over manhattan before retirement. 20to 30 stories up and 125 to 350 keys. All poured concrete. Even with an 8” thick concrete floor we would have a resilient pad laid before placing PVC or vinyl flooring. There are materials out there to buffer the foot steps. High heels were our concern, they can really sound thru a floor.
Other than that, it was a nice place. I also see the knot stain came thru. Maybe if you blasted the old wood and clear coated it would have looked more raw and gave it the Barn look.
Look up “Farm Blanc et Ruge” in Paso Robles California. The barn there was very well done.
The place is right across the street from what looked like a horse track. Not sure if it's active. Loved the peace and serenity. Some really good breakfast places in town. It's a great pivot point to other towns as well. The place was newly renovated and great!.
My family stayed here while taking my daughter on a visit to West Point. The unit was ready when we arrived (before scheduled time). It was clean and looked just like the pictures. The small town is beautiful with restaurants within walking distance. The second night someone stayed in the unit directly above us and it was very noisy. We had a hard time getting to sleep as they were up well after midnight. Other than that it was great! I would definitely stay again.
I really loved this space, the energy and the vibe! The bed , linens and pillows was soooo comfortable. I really just loved everything about this location. It really did just feel very homey, wish I could bring my pooch here for the next visit to the area.
Renovated barn apartment is right across the street from a historic horse track. The kids loved seeing the horses practicing each morning. Everything was clean and spacious inside, and very close to some great little restaurants. Our trip was focused around LEGOLAND, and the title isn’t wrong in saying it’s 5 minutes from there…it really was only 5 minutes! Great hosts, great communication, and I would love to come back again!
Don't be put off by the the construction "stuff" around the main house! The converted barn apartment is very charming, comfortable, & clean! You can't beat the location; you can watch the horses at the track, walk to everything in the Village & it's just a few minutes to drive to Legoland. The kitchen has everything you need, including coffee, tea & even some snacks. The bathroom (with shampoo, etc) is a good size with a nice big shower, the beds are very comfortable & there are lots of extra pillows & towels. Having a washer & dryer was great, and there were plenty of hangers in the good-sized closet. Both the A/C and the Wi-Fi worked great. I do wish that the lighting in the living room area was a little brighter & that there were lamps on the bedside table. But overall, we thought it was great & I would be happy to stay there again.

About the host
Hosted by Emily Collado
Purchased in 2017, Dave and Emily have been extensively overhauling and renovating the buildings on the property with the help of their two kids. Emily is an Interior Designer by trade, a longtime GPLHS Library Trustee, and the head of Goshen Sarah Wells Girl Scouts. Dave is a Lieutenant with the New York City Fire Department in the Bronx and has been serving with the FDNY since 2001, a Planning Team Manager for FEMA Urban Search & Rescue Task Force and is a Past Captain of the Goshen Minisink Hook & Ladder Co. 1. In addition to tackling most of the construction work at this property, he has designed and maintained over 300 websites since 1996. They both lived in Goshen since 2007 and are happily raising our two children here. We are invested in the future of our village.
Why they chose this property
We combined our expert construction and design skills into rebuilding and making this historic horse barn into a stylish and comfortable getaway for families and friends. It is located within walking distance to what our great Village area has to offer, it is close to the highway, and just under 5 minutes from Legoland New York.
What makes this property unique
We saw the potential that most others did and had the time and dedication to take on such a huge project. We are tackling the farmhouse next door and are currently in the progress of building.
