Our host Becky and her family were very welcoming. It was a large property for our dog to run. So many beautiful views. Close to everything. Great hiking trails. Cottage had everything we needed.
This was a wonderful place for our family’s first vacation. It is private but not far from everything. My children loved the grounds and we all had a great time exploring.

We enjoyed our stay very much. The Charlene cottage is the perfect balance between quaint and modern. Our hosts were friendly and welcoming. They were there for anything we needed, but not intrusive. It was a wonderful vacation and we'd love to visit again!
we had a wonderful stay with my mom. She is 86 and had not been to Lake George in years.. She enjoyed fond memories and great family time on the boat.
Thank you for a wonderful stay.
We have stayed here many times. The family that owns the place is great! The home is delightful and right on the lake. If you want to swim, fish or just read by the lake, this place is gorgeous! We will be back!!!

My husband and I along with my best friend and her boyfriend spent a long Memorial Day weekend at Charlene! It was an incredible getaway that left us all feeling to grateful to be able to be on Lake George but not among the tourist side. The family that owns the place were all so welcoming and kind, we felt like we were part of the family! Such a great experience, we can’t wait to come back again!

Thank you for your nice review. We can't wait to have you back.
Beautiful property location about 3.5 acres almost all of it on the lake shore and a very private spot. Lots of nooks a crannies to discover as you walk around the property and there is also great history there. The property was purchased around 1856 and has remained in the same family since then. Highly recommend this place.

The Halcyon property was wonderful and in addition to being very dog friendly, a perfect place to get away from it all with the family. Our 2 lab mixes had a blast running around and exploring the property. We stayed in the Charlene house which was extremely clean and quaint in addition to being the perfect size for the 4 of us. It has beautiful views and is steps away from the lake!
The owners of the property were very friendly, helpful, and wanted to ensure they were there for us if we needed anything.

About the host
Hosted by Becky Lamont
The Halcyon estate is family owned and loved. The property was originally purchased in the mid 1800's . The main house was built in 1890 and is still used by the family seven generations later.
Why they chose this property
The location and lake views from the property are ideal. We are located on a peninsula with a South facing view of Lake George village (perfect viewing for Lake George village fireworks on Thursday nights in the summer); views East and North across the lake to the mountains with great sunrises and moon rises.
What makes this property unique
We are never too crowded, so there is always a place for you to sit in the sun by the lake or be off to a quiet place.
