Beautiful home, gorgeous property close to everything you need. Nice yard with fire pit for relaxing. easy access excellent communication. Will definitely stay again.
Old updated farmhouse was perfect for three couples. House was filled with interesting antiques and location was serene and private. Deer and rabbits in the yard daily.
This house was absolutely perfect. We couldn’t have asked for anything more. The host was so kind and communicative. Helpful and kind. I wish I could move to this house. Out in the county and the landscape was phenomenal. We wish we could give 100 stars!!! Thank you for the most amazing stay.
What a delightful place to stay. Large open property with lovely landscaping. The house has all of the amenities you need and the Host is very accessible. Will definitely stay again.
We all loved staying in this old farmhouse. It’s been updated tastefully and having a second kitchen upstairs really helps when you have some that like to get up early and are eager to get the coffee going!
This home is in the perfect location to explore Olympia and the cities surrounding it. The home is beautiful as well as the property. We will definitely return and stay here again. I loved the front porch and rocking chairs. Great way to start and end your day.
It was a joy to stay in this gem of a historic farmhouse. Every room is beautifully decorated and exceedingly comfortable. The garden and surrounding areas are quiet. Parking in the roundabout driveway was safe and secure. I look forward to visiting again.
Our family of 6 stayed comfortably at the Farmhouse. Host Karl was very responsive and accommodating. The property is very clean and had all we needed provided. Nicely kept outside. We stayed for a week and visited Mt. Rainier, Olympic and Seattle. Thanks again Karl
That is what our auntie said, when she and her daughter and grandkids stayed for a few days. They wanted to stay longer and spend more time at the Hands On children's museum, and relax in the beautiful and comfortable house we rented for them. The host was great, and readily available for questions.
House was old and charming. Great stay for the money. Laundry facilities were in the detached garage and shared with a separate house, which was surprising but worked. Also surprised to have a trailer home about 30 ft away but it didn’t look like anyone was staying there. Bathroom doors do not lock. I would stay there again
An old farmhouse updated out of the city noise. We met Karl on arrival. Friendly, responsive and competent, he said the washer was broken and would be replaced in the morning by 8:00. As promised, it was.
Clean and well kept we had everything we wanted in quiet comfort. We will return someday!.
Easy access, clean and comfortable. We enjoyed our time there.
Easily accessed, comfortable. We were able to use both parts of the unit for our adult children to have there own space with privacy.
Owner was responsive and accommodating when we had a little snag.
I was surprised that someone lives on the same property as close as they do based on the description.
My family enjoyed staying at this location while our home was under some minor construction during the week. This allowed us to keep tabs on our contractors progress (we live 15 minutes away); and get our rest in the evenings until our project was complete. The check-in and out process is simple and it was neat to stay in a 1906 two-story home too! We made the right decision booking this location and will do so again in the future when we have more projects! :-)
The farm house is so perfect. Like going back in time but with indoor plumbing.
We had such a wonderful experience that we are going to book again.
We have lots of extended family in the area we could have stayed with but it is so nice not to worry about invading their space. It makes a trip so much more enjoyable.
The youngsters found the birdbath so that became a project. Making sure the birds had water everyday.
For me it was the rocking chairs on the porch with coffee early in the morning. Full on sun.
The last evening we gathered around the firepit and just enjoyed each others company.
The house is wonderful, it's old and there are several older historical things in it. The gardens are stunning and I love the neighborhood. What really makes this property great though is the owner. Carl is super kind and friendly. This is one of the first homes I have stayed in where I didn't feel it was missing anything. I got injured during our trip and he even had a gel ice pack in the freezer. It's a fully stocked kitchen we were easily able to cook and clean up after ourselves. The bathrooms had shampoo conditioner and body wash we were also able to do laundry throughout the trip.
Be aware the doors have original doorknobs and they don't work very well so I wouldn't stay here with people you aren't comfortable if the bathroom door accidentally swings open lol
Also the floorboards are original but there are gaps in them so make sure you all have a pair of slippers. I thought socks would be fine and I ended up getting my toe caught on a crack and got injured. If I had slippers on this wouldn't be a problem.
Overall this is an amazing house that added a historical element to our trip and the house itself was a perfect place to show up and make a home for a while. Just be careful that your kids don't break anything (particularly rowdy kids should stay away) and that you bring slippers to protect your feet.
Should anything happen Carl is very attentive and accommodating which was refreshing. He has done an excellent job of anticipating needs and making us feel welcome.
I really wanted to like this place. It was a nice setting just outside of town but within 5-10 minutes of pretty much everything you’d need. The house was decorated nicely and was nicely constructed unlike many of the new cookie cutter cheap properties that are out there. So that was the good, but then things started to come up short from there. The kitchen was sparely appointed. For example, only 4 spoons. The pans had lost all semblance of being non-stick and were a huge pain to use/clean. The oven and fridge were ok. It’s not a kitchen for more than a couple people. The shades were nice looking but blocked zero sunlight which is an issue during PNW summers. The biggest drawback was the lack of a gathering place for more than 3 people. At one point in time, it looks like there was a nice big family room right as you walked in; however, this was turned into a bedroom. I don’t know who would want to pick that as a bedroom seeing how it is right next to the front door, dining table, the small sitting room, and kitchen. There is a small room with a couch and chair with a tv, but you can’t comfortably fit more than 3 people in it. The two bedrooms upstairs are nicely appointed, but they do share a bath. For some reason there is a small kitchen and dining table upstairs. I don’t know who would ever use that? It would make a nice third bedroom. In summary, the layout is lacking except for a very small family or a couple, but the property and location is very nice.
Beautifully restored property. We came to experience the winter in Olympia and were even treated to some snow! We had a great time in Karl was a wonderful host.
