Great weekend escape to the beach

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The property was in a great location and the condo was in close proximity to the beach. The unit was clean and in good condition. It had a nice view of the Choctawhatchee Bay as well as the surrounding area of Sandestin property. The AC unit was a bit loud hindering a restful sleep at night but otherwise everything was great.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: TWo adults in our party. May12-16 2023. Property was clean and comfortable. A halfsize refrigrator, microwave and coffee maker along with a basic set of dishes/silverware in room. Very close to restaurants and shopping centers.Reasonably priced.I would include a bottle of dish washing detergent on site.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Small, very plain unit but enough room for two people. *Note... No view of beach, only bay and no balcony. No washer and dryer. Mold on shower curtain but room clean. Property management/ booking was excellent. Luau condo complex great. Disappointed with the amount of times we smelt strong weed smell at pool area and in elevator! Definitely would stay at Luau again but not this unit.

For your convenience, there are laundry facilities on the first floor. If you experience any disturbances, please call Sandestin security to address those concerns promptly. Wonderful location walking distance to beach

Condo was not clean. Dirty floor, large stain on blanket and furniture and vents very dusty. I was told it a reclean would be scheduled and it never happened during the week. One elevator broken and ice machine is located in other building. Otherwise facility itself is wonderful. Beautiful pool and walking distance to beach. Parking was easily accessible and all codes worked. Tram pickup short walk from condo and tram pass was left in room as were pool wristbands. Still waiting to see how cleaning issue will be rectified. Hard time paying for condo cleaning when it wasn't clean for is. Luckily bathroom was clean.

Be Prepared

The area is beautiful, but the beach in front of the resort is packed. Driving a couple of miles to one of the beautiful State Park beaches is a must if you want a less crowded experience. Upon arrival check in was easy- but the shuttle cards and the discount cards were missing. We learned later that the green wrist bands are all you need for the shuttle- but we never used the shuttle anyway- it's just a short walk to the beach from the Luau Towers. The person in the condo next door was also assigned the same door code as us. The biggest inconvenience which resulted in a huge extra expense was the missing beach gear that was advertised as part of the condo rental. We called several times and no one was able to help us with that. Renting chairs and an umbrella was $75 at the beach club and $50 on other beaches. We were charged a higher rate at the beach club because we booked through a third party so we were not considered guests- just visitors. The elevator for the towers was ridiculous. Only one was working and you had to sometimes wait 10-15 minutes for it. We chose the stairs on several occasions but keep in mind- this room is on the tenth floor. The room was clean and adequate for our needs, but we really decided to book this particular condo because it came with beach gear. We won't be coming back.

Highly Disappointed

The overall property was fine. The room was very plain but price equivalent. Communication was tough as I like to communicate with one or two people over the course of the reservation. Upon arrival we noticed three signs on the wall stating that there should be cards for transportation, orange bands for the pool and some types of cards for fun/discount opportunities. The orange arm bands were where they were supposed to be on the hook. The cards for transportation and the other cards were not located in the condo. I called the management immediately after arriving and reported the situation with the cards. I was promised that we would have the other cards delivered by the end of the day. The cards were not delivered that day. I called again the next morning and was again told that the cards would be delivered before the end of the day. This time I shared with the management person that I walked with a cane because of a stroke. I needed the transportation card because we had one vehicle and our trip was for my husband to golf and he would have the vehicle each day. We did not receive the cards during the duration of our trip. I did fall upon one occasion while walking to the beach (going down the stairs from the pool). Our other disappointment was the TV carrier. While we are not big TV watchers we did watch late at night or if it was raining. There did not seem to be a cable carrier but more of a streaming situation. The TV had to refresh every 10 minutes and this took 5-7 minutes and would often need to be refreshed by turning off and then back on. I videoed this so I could time it. The channel selection was very poor as well. My final complaint was that I when I received my email to do a review I called the management company prior to completing the review to talk to them about these issues. I felt as if I was treated curtly and as if I was trying to get something out of my complaint. When I talked about ADA regulations the young lady asked me what that meant. I explained the Americans with Disabilities Act to her and her reply was "okay". A manager called me and I explained that I didn't want to hurt anyone's business but I had some real issues with our visit. She wanted me to let her check on things and called me back and said they would credit my account $50. I said that it was not about the money...it was about not doing things right and taking care of guests.
