SunDestin 1211 is a Gulf Front, 1BR/1.5BA condo in the heart of Destin. This beautiful 12th floor condo has floor to ceiling beach views from the living room, kitchen, and balcony! There’s a king bed in the bedroom, and a queen-sized sleeper sofa in the living room, sleeping up to 4 guests comfortably. Splash around in the indoor and outdoor pool, catch some rays on the sugar white sand beach, or relax on the beachfront balcony! Come see why SunDestin 1211 is a Destin favorite!

SunDestin is a vacation rental complex conveniently located in the heart of Destin, less than half a mile from Big Kahuna's waterpark. The condo was perfect for my husband and I. It was very clean and nicely decorated. It would have been nice to have a washer and dryer but there was a laundry facility close to our condo so it wasn’t a major inconvenience. There were renovations being done to the building at SunDestin that we were unaware of but thankfully not a huge problem for us but I would have liked to have known before booking. I would stay there again once renovation are complete. Overall a great vacation!

Amazing Condo!

This was our first time staying in Destin and we will definitely be coming back to SunDestin. Check-in and check-out was so quick and easy and the front desk workers were so nice (as were the security workers). The condo was just as advertised - very clean and decorated so nicely. The view from the balcony cannot be beat and the location is perfect - right in the middle of everything. We even walked to a lot of restaurants and the ones we had to drive to were not too far away. The chair/umbrella rental boys on the beach were great and it was so much better than trying to bring our own. 10/10 would recommend to anyone and plan to book here again! Thanks RealJoy!

Spring Break

The actual building, SunDestin, was great. It was clean and employees were all very professional and helpful. The actual condo was adequate in size but the amenities and furnishings definitely need an upgrade. The couch and chairs were not comfortable to sit on and the bed, as others have stated, is very uncomfortable. I don’t think I would rent this particular property again.

Nice place. Good Location.

This place was nice but our contact and a direct email stated we had 2 parking spots but we only got 1. It wouldn't have been quite as bad except I sent a specific email about 2 spots and got a direct response that we had 2 spots. When we get there (800 miles from home) with 2 vehicles we only had 1 spot and had to leave our vehicles across the road at a Chick-Fil-A. Very frustrating.

The property was beautiful, well maintained and offered excellent amenities, however the inflexibility of an early check in was unacceptable. We traveled to the area via airplane and notified Realjoy as soon as we booked our flight requesting an early check in for that unit. We were told to text upon our arrival and an early check In should be possible. We were literally made to wait until exactly 4:00 PM. We travel frequently and stay in many condos and have never experienced this huge inconvenience. We loved the property, location, condo was beautiful but we will NEVER stay with Realjoy properties again.

We enjoyed our stay with one exception. The washer and dryer on our hall did not work. It took your money then would not work. Manager came and was able to start the washer..........then it did not spin the clothes out so they were extremely wet. Then when we tried to use the dryer the same thing happened but the desk person said only the manager had the key to help with that, so we had really wet clothes that we could do nothing about.

Amazing condo and location!

The condo had everything we could need right at our fingertips, it was so clean and close to everything, especially the beach! Not to mention the stunning views. We met the manager on our way out and she was very sweet!

Noise!!

We would have really enjoyed our stay except for the noise in the unit next to us!! For 2 days in a row ther was noise coming from next store where they were taking up the old tile floor with a hammer drill and the next day grinding up the old adhesive! So both days we left our unit early and didn’t come back until later in the day!

Peaceful Solo Vacation

I stayed here from May 11 to May 16, 2025. It was a solo vacation for me and this property was perfect. It was a gorgeous view from the balcony and the condo itself was very nice and clean, and very true to the listing. The communication with the property manager was wonderful. I didn't need anything during my stay but they made sure I knew exactly how to contact them if need be. Overall, I was very happy and would highly recommend this property for a solo trip, or a trip with a small group.

Unit Outstanding / Outside - Not so Much

Everything within the condo unit was very good. But one of the amenities we were looking forward to was the outside pool and spa. They are out of service. Even the indoor whirlpool was out of service. Major construction was going on throughout the complex, so on weekdays, there were window-washing-type platforms going up and down outside our balcony, so we could not enjoy the beautiful ocean views. I know the construction was talked about, but not the pools. We probably would have made another choice.

Reconstruction

We didn’t realize the resort was under a major renovation. We finally found where it was disclosed. We talked with a few other guests that said their description of the reno was plastered in bold black print that could not be missed. We like to go between the pool and the beach. We enjoy sitting around d the pool in the evenings to relax and play cards. There was absolutely no seating outside facing the ocean anywhere except your room deck. We were told the Reno won’t be complete until most likely 2027. Our room was very nice. Parking was great. Close to everything. View was stunningThis was our first time using verbo. Because there was nothing shouting out at us on the site regarding the Reno..I’m going to be a bit hesitant using again.

Construction/couch

We knew there was construction going on but not to the extent it was. First morning woke up to very loud jackhammers 2 floors below our condo. It was so loud you could hear it with door closed. Trying to talk to each other was horrible. Couch smelled like mold. They only came you one roll of tp, No trash bags, etc. Never ever stay there again.

Just the two of us!

My husband and I started traveling alone last year. We Deckard now that the kids are older we deserve time to ourselves and that time always consists of the gulf, white sand, and 10 days! Everything about our stay was excellent! Very clean and pleasant. Staff was kind and always smiling! We really enjoyed our stay!

Beach 24/7

We booked the property because of the beach view and easy access to the beach. It proved to be just as advertised, and we caught some outstanding weather for our beach bum time. Our airline canceled our flight getting there so that cost us a day, but the only disappointment that the property had control of was that the outdoor pool was closed due to some construction going on above it on the building. It would have been nice to have know this. Thanks!
