Completely renovated, 900sf, pet-friendly, Adirondack style cottage available for rent. Ideal for the active couple or small family looking to enjoy the Adirondack wilderness or Olympic Venues. Also perfect for the picturesque, secluded romantic getaway. Stay with us for the premiere Adirondack experience coupled with small-town hospitality

••Quiet hours are from 10pm to 7am
No music or unreasonable noises between those hours. No exceptions.
•• We do allow pets with responsible owners, there is a $40.00 fee per stay•• Wilmington hosts multiple attractions, including:
• Whiteface mountain ski center is only a short drive of approximately 5 minutes from the cottage

• Mountain biking trails for all levels of ability. Wilmington has some of the best mountain biking in the area, including the Hardy Road and Flume Trails which continue to expand and challenge. The “PMD” or Poor Man’s Down-Hill is a fast down-hill trail.

• World class fly fishing and catch-and-release fishing along the Ausable River. Wilmington is home to multiple local fishing stores providing supplies and local guide service as needed.

• Driving to the summit of Whiteface Mountain along the Veteran’s Memorial Highway and enjoying breathtaking views of the Adirondacks and Lake Placid

• Family entertainment where it’s Christmas all year at the North Pole and Santa’s Workshop.

• Hiking paths with scenic waterfall overlooks at High Falls Gorge.

• Opportunities to learn more about native Adirondack animals, including owls, bears, and wolves at the Wildlife Refuge.

The town of Wilmington’s water supply comes from high on Whiteface mountain and then through a state of the art filtration system. The end result is cool, refreshing water without the bottle.

Lake Placid, and all it has to offer, is only a short 25 minute scenic drive.

After a day out and about, return to the cottage to enjoy its private rear deck and luxurious amenities. A new rustic private outside shower which has hot and cold water is available for seasonal use (May-October), perfect for rinsing off following a day of biking, hiking, or sightseeing. The newly constructed deck hosts a spacious six-person hot tub for your enjoyment. Prepare and enjoy dinner for family and friends with the provided propane gas grill and ample patio furniture.

The tasteful interior design of this two bedroom, one bath cottage mixes the unique elements of the Adirondacks with modern day living. A well equipped kitchen with most common cooking utensils and adequate room for meal preparation, featuring a breakfast nook and real, live-edge wood bar, leads into the living room where you can continue the experience with a wood burning fire place and smart TV. Plenty of seating for all family and friends surrounds the area allowing for a wonderful night in.

The house offers a variety of sleeping accommodations. The master bedroom is equipped with a Queen sized bed, the second bedroom has rustic bunk beds, and the couch in the living room pulls out as to a full size bed. There is plenty of room to ensure a good night’s rest for all.

Convenience store, gas station and local restaurants all within 1 mile of the cottage.

We have dogs of our own. We understand the importance of bringing your pet along, so the property is dog friendly. Please be courteous and clean up after your pet.
All pets must be leashed when outside ,Wilmington has a leash law and it must be adhered to for the safety and consideration of our neighbors
If you plan on bringing your dog please let us know so we can advise you of our house rules for dogs.

Best place in the ADK!

We had an absolutely amazing stay. This place had everything we needed and more! We enjoyed our evenings on the back deck and in the hot tub. It was close to the mountain we wanted to hike as well as different restaurants to eat at. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay.

Everything was great, zero problems, zero complaints. The hot tub was amazing after skiing. The one night was clear and the stars were amazing! Beds were comfortable, kitchen was well stocked. Gas fireplace was also easy to use and a nice feature. Will definitely be back!

Cozy weekend getaway

We were looking for a place to spend our 4th anniversary in the Lake Placid area. I came across this beauty that had all the nice things we were looking for..outdoor fireplace with the added touch of complimentary fire wood, hot tub, indoor fireplace, and comfy queen bed. The place was sparkling clean and kitchen lacked nothing. We really enjoyed our short stay. Looking forward to staying with Bill and Paula again.

A Home Away from Home

My husband and I absolutely loved staying at Bill and Paula’s cottage. Everything was easy to find in the house and it’s in a very accessible location with so much to do in Wilmington, Saranac Lake, and Lake Placid! Bill’s communication was so helpful and timely. Lovely get away

We had a wonderful time staying at here while snowboarding at Whiteface. The ski lodge is about a 6 min. We loved the outdoor hot tub and the host was very responsive. The only negative was that the bed had no support and sagged so much that my partner and I slept poorly every night.

Quaint & Comfortable

We booked this property because we had a wedding in town and we are SO glad we stayed here over any hotel. The hosts have amazing communication, even just checking in to see how we are doing. They have thought of everything you could need and have it there incase you forgot. The house itself is super clean & organized. The hot tub & outdoor shower are an added bonus to the charm of the house (and town). Hoping to go back for a longer stay real soon.

Great getaway

My husband, two kids (ages 11 & 9), my dog and I had a fabulous long weekend at this property. It was sparkling clean and cozy and exactly as described online. All amenities were provided. The backyard is completely private from neighbors and gives you a real feeling of escape. The hot tub was a nice treat after a long day of adventuring. The hosts were very responsive and easy to communicate. You can tell they take great pride in maintaining their home. A great property!

Beautiful whiteface cabin!

We loved our stay from start to end. Check in was easy, owner was wonderful to deal with and the house is so perfect! Every detail has been thought of and everything is provided (linens, towels, hot tub towels, soap, paper towel, etc). It’s become too common for rentals not to provide consumables so we really appreciated that we didn’t have to bring all that stuff. The decor and furniture in the house is so cute and fits the Adirondack theme perfectly. Kitchen is well equipped and I could sit in front of the gas fireplace all day. We also loved using the hot tub after skiing each day. And the drive to the mountain is very short, 5 min or so! I highly recommend this house and we will definitely stay again!

Great Place to stay for Placid / North Pole / Hiking

House was spotless, clean, in great order. Owner was very communicative before and during stay. After a long drive and 5 mile walk around places Friday, and all day hiking Saturday, the hot tub got used both nights for recovery. Also the fire pit was another great plus! Owner had many brochures of places and things to do in the area, and even a sample of his home grown honey (excellent). If making it back in fall or winter for more hiking or visiting Norh Pole with kids, we will book here again! Only note (nothing against owner) make sure you keep your dog inside or on leash (ours got out for about 5 minutes while setting up fire pit/hot tub) and the neighbor alerted the owner. Was not a big deal as we got him back on his leash...just an FYI. Not a deterrent just kept us more vigilant.

A great break in the mountains

I had a terrific 3 days in the mountains around Lake Placid for the annual lacrosse tournament. I was a late participant so had to book a room slightly away from Lake Placid, but since I’m long past the need to bar hop in downtown this house was perfect. Every detail was as mentioned on the site. Message prior to and during the stay were timely and informative And appreciated. The house itself was as described. It was extremely clean, had everything you need for your stay and items were well thought out. I missed a night due to our lovely airlines but the house was ready for me incense arrived. The beds were comfortable, fans worked perfectly and AC, when needed was good as well. The hot tub worked great and I needed a good soak each day of the tournament. Restaurants were close by, only got to try one and the other 2 nights I grilled and relaxed. Great Trip and great house. Thank you Bill

I can’t say enough great things about this property and the owners! It’s the cleanest place I’ve ever stayed. Everything was very convenient and fully stocked! 5 minutes from Whiteface Mountain and a great pizza place down the road. My husband and I highly recommend this property! Great place to bring your fur babies!

Great long weekend!

We had a wonderful weekend away at this property! We brought our two young girls, 9 months and almost 3, along with our dog. All of us were able to relax and feel comfortable while being able to enjoy the area. Bill was very easy to communicate with, responding promptly and helping in any way while also giving the space needed to just feel at home. The hot tub was so wonderful, and the entire place was very clean. Pictures didn’t do it justice. I’d go back again just to enjoy the DELICIOUS tap water! My husband and I keep talking about it and are so sad each of our water bottles is gone- ha! Thanks for a great long weekend away!

What a great place

This is a great little property near enough to Lake Placid, but not too close. Wonderful setting... very clean and new. We loved the hot tub after days of hiking and the whole experience was relaxing. Bill was great to communicate with, kept us up to date and informed of everything. Will be back!

Cute little cottage for family of 4 very close to ski mountain

My family and I had a wonderful stay at this cute little cottage with all the amenities and convenience needed to make a birthday ski weekend a success. From the proximity to whiteface ski mountain and lake placid, to the outdoor hot tub and spectacular bird watching, I left hoping we’d return one day. The host was great in keeping in touch and making sure he was available for anything we needed. The check in and check out process was seamless. Highly recommended for a family of 4!
