About this property
Secluded Lodge near Whiteface Mountain & Adirondack Wildlife Refuge with Hot Tub
Beaver Creek Lodge is a secluded 3 bedroom, 3 Bath lodge on 3 acres, about 3 miles from the Whiteface Ski Center, & about two miles from the Adirondack Wildlife Refuge. Beaver Creek is ringed by tall trees & mountains, & features a rustic porch for relaxing, while sipping your morning coffee, or watching the sun set, as well as a hot tub and a campfire in front of two huge glacial boulders. A fully equipped kitchen & a washer-dryer, complimentary high speed, wireless internet access & an HDTV flat screen, with satellite TV, exercise bench and recumbent bike; foosball, air hockey and 45" TV in the finished basement, making Beaver Creek Lodge your home-away-from-home in the Adirondacks.
The master bedroom has a queen-sized bed and two more can sleep in the trundle bed, while two guest rooms have a queen, & two singles respectively. There is a full pull-out sofa in the den/living room, and a futon in the finished basement. The wood stove is backed up by a conventional furnace, and there's a room downstairs for stowing away skis & hiking gear.
No other houses are visible from the property, so the desire to get away from it all is enhanced & fulfilled.
Runners, cyclists, cross-country skiers and hikers will run out of time, long before they run out of stunning mountain vistas to enrich their exercise, which is a major reason Ironman is held here every July. When your busy vacation day fades to dusk, there are several fine restaurants within a few miles of Beaver Creek Lodge, and if you want to make a full night of it, the Olympic Village of Lake Placid beckons, twelve miles away through one of the most beautiful drives in America, through the Wilmington notch along the West Branch of the Ausable River. Mountain Biking is big in the area. The Hardy Road Trailhead is about a mile from the house.
Don't forget your camera, as wildlife sightings include bobcat, red fox, fisher, the harmless Adirondack black bear and moose. If you don't see any of them, Guests may visit the nearby Adirondack Wildlife Refuge, where friends and family can meet and learn all about wolves, coywolves, coyotes, fox, bobcats, and see educational demonstrations with non- releasable birds of prey, like Bald Eagles, Great Horned Owls, Barred Owls, Screech Owls, Peregrine Falcons, Red-Tailed Hawks, and a crazy raven named Abie the Fishman, who was rehabilitated, but hangs around to entertain visitors.
This is a relaxing Lodge, where you will put your busy careers on hold, spend quality time with friends and family, and renew yourselves, surrounded by the incomparable beauty of the Adirondack Mountains. Sorry, no pets, and absolutely no smoking indoors.
Beaver Creek Lodge has a minimum 2 night stay most of the year, but 4 night minimum in July and August. A refundable $300 security deposit applies to all rentals which is refunded directly by VRBO.

About the host
Hosted by Alex Magliato

My family and I fell in love with the area many years ago after renting a house here each summer. There were many frowns from the children about a family vacation the first year. Second year and thereafter the question was, “When is our week at the Adirondacks?!” As we saw this tradition being passed down through generations, our oldest daughter and her husband decided to join us finding a home to make our own. And so, our Adirondack dream home became a reality at Beaver Creek Lodge.
Why they chose this property
When we saw the Beaver Creek Lodge, we knew it was the perfect place. We love the privacy of the property, and yet, it offers closeness to everything Wilmington and the Lake Placid area has to offer. Prior to our purchase in January 2017, this was already a very successful vacation rental home. Although we were not allowed to keep the many testimonials from the prior owner in the vacation rental websites, they matched our own pleasant experiences of the area and hope that future renters will tell the same story. If you already know the area, you will enjoy all the many activities and adventures you will find within a few miles from the home. If you haven’t vacationed here yet, we hope you enjoy it as much as we do and that your family will make it a regular vacation spot for years to come.
What makes this property unique
We love the swing on the front porch - drink your coffee in the morning while watching the sun rise or the sun set with a glass of wine instead. Firepit is great for s'mores and a game room to gather around and have fun!
