Very private top floor modern apartment with two bedrooms (one double and one twin) and two bathrooms (one en-suite). Furnished to the very highest standards with brand-new fittings throughout. Central lounge/dining area with large balcony looking inland to the mountains and a modern kitchen with everything you need for a self-catering stay including free Wi-Fi. Second dining area leads to a completely private sun- terrace set in the traditional red-tiled roof.
The apartment is a short walk from the "village" of Garajau, with lots of cafes, restaurants and take-aways. Continue through the village and you end up at the famous statue of Cristo Rei, where you can take a cable car down the pebble beach, where there are more facilities.
This property has been certified to the highest safety standards under the Portuguese "Alojamanto Local" regime covering tourist accommodation.

Fabulous!

Other than being hard to find, everything about the apartment was great. It was remodeled to a high standard, large apartment, great views and deck, intro food, large shower. Great location, walkable restaurants, pharmacy, grocery. Super local neighborhood. Parking garage. Heads up; Manager did have an add-on cost paid in cash on site. Regardless of amount or reason for this charge, it should be have been included in the VRBO quote or in the contract.

Lovely apartment

Lovely apartment with terrace that gets full sun and a cooler balcony on the north side. Good Comms with the owners and everything in the flat that we needed. Really comfortable bed and big sofas in the living room. Good WiFi, although a bit hit and miss on the terrace. One caveat. It's a noisy area. It's residential so there are people fixing stuff, setting off for work at 6am, a cockerel at 5.30, motorbikes and lots of barking dogs. It was very very warm so we had the doors and windows open all night, so we heard all the noises.

Good for first time visit in Madeira

Many positives staying here Very nice apartment and well equipped Very clean Liked the coffee making options Because we were there in winter it was a little cool at times but owners provided a heater which was much appreciated Owners/Peter were very responsive when we had questions Great spot to visit the rest of the island as the main highway was easy to access if you are renting a car We were out on the road quite a bit exploring various towns and villages and walking many of the wonderful levadas Bus service into Funchal was very close and easy to use if you didn't want to drive into the city and you can stay here comfortably without a car There were several restaurants close by that were good The Ravioli was our go-to place for morning coffee and a tart We stayed for about one month In hindsight I would probably have split some of that time between Garagua and Funchal, which we thought was a wonderful city One negative was the barking dogs in the neighboring hosues, even if that is out of the control of the owners of the apartment Overall, a nice place to rental

Modern well equipped apartment. Sea view from balcony, near good cafe/restaurants & food stores

Communication with agent was excellent so no problems finding the apartment. Secure locked parking under the building with lift to the apartment. Lovely place to stay, clean, very modern, tastefully, and comfortably furnished. Had all the equipment we needed. A bowl of local grown fruit, cake and biscuits where a nice welcome gift. Ana, the owner, met us with the keys and gave us useful information about the local amenities. Close to reasonably priced restaurants and food stores. Easy drive to lots of places on the island although our 1.2 Corsa struggled a bit with some of the steep hills! It did the job but we will hire something a little more powerful next time! We loved Funchal, new year fireworks were epic! Loved the toboggans and tropical gardens at Monte. Went to the natural swimming pools at Porto Moniz. We braved the 17 degree water and enjoyed our December swim in the Atlantic! The faint hearted might rather do it in the summer!! Nice place though. We also enjoyed the Sky Walk which was free. Would recommend the Central Restaurant in Canico we were only in Medeira a week and we went twice! :)

Die Wohnung liegt in einer Wohngegend, das Meer ist von der Terasse aus in der Ferne zu sehen. Das Apartment ist sehr sauber und die zwei Badezimmer mit ausreichend Handtüchern und Föhn Luxus. Es gibt eine Waschmaschine mit Waschmittel inklusive Wäschegestell. Eine Spülmaschine ist leider nicht vorhanden, dafür liegen Schwamm und Spülmittel bereit. Der Kühlschrank ist groß und hat zudem ein großes Eisfach. Einziger Nachteil sind viele bellende Hunde in der Gegend. Einer davon ist dauerhaft auf einer Terasse alleine, was auffällt, da sie vom Schlafzimmer aus gut zu sehen ist.Die Gastgeber:innen sind bei Fragen immer zu erreichen und antworten bei schriftlichen Anfragen innerhalb weniger Stunden. Ein entscheidender Pluspunkt ist auch ein eigener Parkplatz in einer ausreichend großen Tiefgarage.

We fully enjoyed our stay at the apartment, especially the incredible view from the terrace. The apartment is large, comfortable and well equipped. The internet was not very reliable, but it wasn't a big problem for us. Having a parking spot in the garage was a big plus.

Zeer nette en ruime woning. Vriendelijke ontvangst.Ligt in woonwijk (dus niet voor echte rustzoekers, je hebt er echter ook weer niet heel veel last van) maar op het dakterras een mooi uitzicht over de oceaan, auto kan in parkeergarage staan. Ligt redelijk centraal om vanuit daar het hele eiland te verkennen en ook niet ver van het vliegveld. Ook zijn een aantal grote supermarkten dichtbij en wat kleinere winkels. Enigste minpuntje is dat er geen vaatwasser is, ondanks dat het wel bij de beschrijving staat. Verder is de woning top. Wel een tip voor de eigenaar, doe wat aan de deur naar het dakterras, die opent en sluit zeer slecht, we waren bang dat die eruit zou vallen.

nice cosy place

Mooi, smaakvol ingericht dakappartement in een levendige buurt met uitzicht op de oceaan. Alles wat je nodig hebt om je vakantie te doen slagen is aanwezig Fantastisch onthaal en begeleiding vanwege Ana Paula met lokale producten; Winkels, resto is op wandelafstand. Zeker een aanrader zelfs voor twee koppels samen (aparte badkamer mogelijk).

Very nice stay on Madeira!

It was very complete. Ana Paula was very friendly, her own honey is delicious. Going too Funghal by bus is easy…. If you know which busline… A trip with a 4x4 Jeep is wonderfull, and exciting. They can pick you up at the appartement. Driving with a rental car was too much for me, roads are very narrow and steep.nature is wonderfull!

Great communication

Ideal property for exploring Madeira. The property is fully equipped with a patio area as an added bonus. The dedicated parking space is a real asset for those hiring a car. Great communication during the booking and check in phase really helped. Highly recommended.

Bel appartement avec équipements top et 2 terrasses avec vue sur mer pour l’une. Bien situé pour visiter toute l’île, l’hébergement n’est pas loin d’une supérette bien achalandée (banamadeira)et d’un resto (raises des izles) Très correct en prix et surtout à la cuisine locale savoureuse et copieuse. Très bon séjour dans cette location qui présente un plus avec son garage souterrain

Die Wohnung entsprach voll unseren Vorstellungen und die Gastgeberin, die uns persönlich empfing, war ausgesprochen freundlich und hilfsbereit mit Tipps und bei Problemen.Wir konnten vor 16.00 einchecken, und in der Wohnung erwartete uns ein netter Willkommensgruß in Form eines Obstkorbes und eines Glases Honig.Die Wohnung - insbesondere auch die Küche mit Gewürzen, Öl, Haushaltsrolle, Kaffepads, Nescafe usw. usw. - ist sehr gut ausgestattet (uns fehlte lediglich eine Spülmaschine, aber das ist klagen auf hohem Niveau) und in der Tiefgarage gab es einen geräumigen Parkplatz für den Mietwagen. Von der Garage kommt man bequem mit dem Aufzug in die oberste Etage, wo sich die Wohnung befindet, von deren Terrasse man einen weiten Blick auf den Atlantik hat.

Schöne großzügige Wohnung in guter Lage auf Madeira

Das Treffen mit der Vermieterin (Ana Paula) war sehr unkompliziert. Wir haben eine kurze Führung durch die Wohnung erhalten, in der uns alles erklärt wurde. Wir haben uns auch sehr, über den Obstkorb mit lokalen Spezialitäten z.B. einer "Anona" gefreut. Ana Paula stand uns währen unseres Aufenthalts immer zur Verfügung, die Kommunikation war sehr unkompliziert. Auf Nachfrage, haben wir z.B. am gleichen Tag eine elektr. Heizung bekommen. Die Lage der Wohnung ist sehr schön, man hat eine schöne Aussicht von der Terasse auf das Meer. In der Nähe und fußläufig erreichbar, sind Restaurants/Cafes und Bars, sowie 2 kleine Supermärkte, bei denen man sich alle Dinge des täglichen Bedarfs einkaufen kann. Zu erwähnen sind die Hunde in der Nachbarschaft, die im Laufe des Tages öfter mal bellen. Im Laufe der Nacht ist es jedoch meistens ruhig. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Sehr schönes Apartment

Wir fanden die Wohnung super. Viel platz, modern eingerichtet, küche super ausgestattet (kein geschirrspüler). Der blick beim Frühstück von der Dachterrasse ist wunderschön. Die Umgebung ruhig und nicht von Touristen überlaufen. Das gebell der hunde haben wir wir als nicht so störend empfunden. Jederzeit würden wir hier wieder übernachten.

Wunderschöner Madeira-Aufenthalt

Die Unterkunft hat eine tolle Lage. Die Aussicht vom Balkon mit Blick auf das Meer war sehr schön! Die Wohnung war sauber; besonders hervorzuheben ist auch die tolle Ausstattung. Es hat uns an nichts gefehlt. + Nette Schlüsselübergabe. Zur Umgebung ein Nachteil: die Ruhe wurde des Öfteren durch Hundegebell etwas gestört. Eine Beobachtung aus dem Wohnzimmerfenster zeigt einen Hund, der Tag und Nacht alleine auf der Terrasse eingesperrt ist und der abgesehen von Essen und Trinken keine Aufmerksamkeit bekommt. Das hat die Urlaubsstimmung leider etwas getrübt, aber hat natürlich nichts direkt mir der Unterkunft zu tun.

Sehr schöne Wohnung

Von Anfang bis Ende hat alles super geklappt. Sehr nette Vermieterin, schöne saubere Wohnung mit toller großer Dachterrasse. Küche ist gut ausgestattet, man findet alles was man benötigt. Hier sind schon einige Rezensionen bezüglich bellender Hunde erschienen, ja es ist manchmal so, aber es ist überall so. Nachts war Ruhe und tagsüber ist man eh unterwegs.
