Our delightful house, featuring two bedrooms, is located just above Santa Cruz Marina Beach, with captivating views of the sea and the Desert Islands.

It´s charming setting makes it an ideal destination to relax, and fully enjoy your vacation, perfect for making lifelong memories.

The property is very well-appointed with all the basic amenities, making it both enjoyable and functional.

Offering the comfort of a direct access to the beach and the beach-front promenade; a very short and pleasant walk away from Santa Cruz city centre.

LEAVING ROOM & KITCHEN
With a cosy open space style, the main common area includes a spacious living room with TV and fireplace, a dining area and an open space kitchen equipped with microwave, fridge, induction stove, dishwasher, electric kettle, coffee machine and more.

BEDROOM 1
The room features a queen size bed, ensuite bathroom, wardrobe, television, direct access to the garden and pool. All necessary linen is provided.

BATHROOMS
The house has one large common bathroom, located in the corridor in front of the bedrooms, and one ensuite bathroom. Both bathrooms will be equipped with the basic amenities such as: hair dryer, towels, toilet paper, soap and shampoo.

Sunbeds are available around the pool area, as well as a table and chairs near the BBQ area.

ADDITIONAL INFO:
The access to the house includes a flight of stairs and few other steps, therefore the house is not suitable for guests with mobility difficulties.

Families with children must have additional attention around the pool and garden areas.

Wonderful property in fantastic location

As a family we have enjoyed every second of our stay at the property. It was clean and had everything that you need for a comfortable stay.The pool was great and the view out across the sea is a privilege to wake up to every day.The access down to the promenade to walk into Santa Cruz was super convenient and the town itself was idyllic.We will be back one day

Description of the house near the sea

We were very nicely welcomed in this pretry house near the beach. The pool and the house are very clean and very confy. The beds are huge and the bathrooms very modern and confortable as well.

A little slice of heaven

We love Santa Cruz and the little village with small shops and restaurants. This house is an easy walk to the village and is right on the ocean. You can sleep with the sound of the waves. You also have access to a beautiful pool and spacious terrace. We did not want to leave. Carlos was easy to communicate with a Sandra (the housekeeper) looked after us very well.

Beautiful house with fascinating sea view

We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful house. The terrace with pool in a prime location with direct access to the promenade was truly impressive. We wished we have had something like a roof or rain protection at the terrace. Unfortunately, we had bad luck that the dishwasher was broken and the stove broke down the last night. However, the communication with our hosts and their helpfulness were excellent. We would come back on our next vacation, it was wonderful here!

Lovely stay

The house was extremely difficult to find and the instructions could have been much easier. However, once we had spoken to the owner and found the house keeper, everything was perfect. The house is very close to all amenities and had an amazing view and a beautifully clean private pool. The house was spotless and everything worked. There was no air conditioning but this was not a problem for us because it was not too hot. Inside the house it is silent, but outside there is alot of road noise. The beautiful views and a private staircase to the promenade which even has a beach were particularly lovely touches.Thank you.

Beautiful view. A bit noisy (frequent airplanes overhead). Clean and responsive to concerns. However, no heat and it was quite cool. No oven and stove top did not function. We were given a hot plate.Also, we had water intrusion after a wind and rain event which could have been dangerous with tile floors in the night

Beautiful Place; wonderful location

We stayed for 7 nights in January. Everything was excellent and exactly as described. We got immediate responses all to our questions and the housekeeper was very sweet and accommodating. We had everything we needed. The house is very easy to find. Sunrises are spectacular over the ocean and views are wonderful. There is a lovely cement promenade along the ocean from the property so you can park and walk to restaurants, shops and grocery stores in Santa Cruz. It’s very secure and gated although it’s in a very safe place. We never felt uncomfortable anywhere we walked. We would definitely stay again.

Beautiful property

Isabel sent detailed maps to get to her home. It’s less than 10 minutes from the airport. Alas, we went around several times because number 51 is not posted on street level. Turn right before the house with a green roof. We were met by delightful Sandra who is also an impeccable housekeeper. Everything is spotless and fresh. The property has a large beautiful pool and private secured access to a rocky beach. The VRBO apartment downstairs from the owner’s home was spacious and had tv’s in the living area and 2 bedrooms. It is a 20 Minute walk to restaurants and lovely pastry shop. We did not use the kitchen except for coffee because prices to eat out are very reasonable. We are very happy we stayed here and recommend all aspects of this rental.

I’m extremely disappointed with our stay at this property. This was my first time using VRBO, and while my first two rentals were absolutely fantastic, this one was a nightmare from start to finish.The listing was misleading, implying that we’d have access to the entire house. In reality, we were staying in the basement of the home, which was not made clear in the description. Additionally, the listing fails to mention just how close the property is to the airport and the highway. You can literally see the runway from the backyard, and planes are landing right outside your back door. The property is also situated directly on the highway offramp, and while the sound of the ocean is nice, it doesn’t drown out the constant noise—or mask the smell—of highway traffic.The issues with the property itself were extensive:-Mold and odor: There was a strong smell of mold, particularly in one bathroom, making it difficult to feel comfortable or safe in the space.-Pests: The property had an ant problem and bugs throughout, which was unsettling and unsanitary.-Disrepair: Parts of the ceiling were coming apart, and various fixtures and hardware were in visible disrepair-Plumbing failures: One toilet stopped working entirely on the second day of our stay. By the next day, the only remaining toilet also stopped working.-Loss of water supply: On our last day, the property lost all water entirely. We were forced to heat water from the pool just to take a shower for a very early flight

Stunning location but very disappointing house.

The seafront location, a short walk away from a lovely little town with great restaurants, is just superb. However, once inside the house it is very disappointing. The house was obviously once wonderful but it now needs a great deal of work and was not up to our standards at all. The furnishings are old ikea, the linens and dishes are a mishmash and there was absolutely no basics other than toilet paper, and a little hand and dish soap. There was not even salt and pepper in the kitchen. There is no proper oven, no washing machine (I would certainly have expected this and it was a big loss), not even a decent coffee maker that didn’t leak. Both bathrooms need updated plumbing. There was no information about the area except for a collection of old brochures that previous guests obviously left. The place is very spacious and it was clean. We were welcomed by the housekeeper who we only saw on one other occasion but she was back to see us off. We felt that the price was really high for what we got. On top of this we were charged for an “additional person” even though we communicated more than once that there were just two of us. I really don’t like writing negative reviews but I read reviews carefully when selecting a place. There were 16 reviews each with 5* which is why I chose this spot. I seriously don’t think that is the case anymore.

Wir waren zu Dritt in diesem wundervollen Haus. Der Aufenthalt war toll. Am Tag sind wir viel gewandert und am Abend in der Nähe zu Fuß, etwa 500 m, hatten wir viel Auswahl mit dem Abendessen. Das Städtchen Santa Cruz war wunderschön mit Lichtern weihnachtlich geschmückt. Das war bis jetzt unsere Beste Unterkunft und wir sind seit 20 Jahren jedes Jahr unterwegs. Einzig meine Freunde, sie schliefen im größeren Zimmer konnten nicht so gut schlafen wegen der Matratze. Vielen Dank, Carlos für dein Vertrauen und dass du uns dein Haus für 11 Tage überlassen hast. Spacious villa in excellent location

Thoroughly enjoyed our 10 day stay at Isabel's villa. Wonderful location so close to the airport enabling sight of aircraft approaching runway. Close to shops, restaurants etc. Everyone very friendly and helpful. Communication with Isabel excellent. Very interesting island, definitely worth hiring a car to visit north coast. The villa pool is fantastic being of large size and overlooking the coast. Overall, we had a great time and are looking to return next year.

Schöner Aufenthalt

Wir haben 3 Wochen Ende August 2019 hier verbracht und hatten eine sehr schöne Zeit. Die Anlage ist sehr schön, sauber und gut ausgestattet. Vom Pool aus kann man das Meer beobachten und durch den direkten Zugang zum Strand auch jeder dort schwimmen gehen. Ein besonderes Highlight für uns war der regelmäßige Besuch der hier lebenden Katze (wir haben noch nie eine derart verschmuste Katze gesehen :-) Der anliegenden Ort ist in 5 Minuten zu Fuß erreichbar und man kann gut essen gehen sowie kleine Einkäufe erledigen. Die Nähe zum Flughafen und die landenden Flugzeuge können störend sein. Wenn man jedoch weiß das die Landung auf Madeira eine gewisse Herausforderung ist, kann man die Flugzeuge auch als Attraktion sehen und diese bei der Landung beobachten. Alles in Allem würden wir die Anlage jeder Zeit weiterempfehlen.

Wunderbare Sicht auf das Meer

Wir wurden freundlich von der Vermieterin empfangen. Da es für uns etwas schwierig war, das Haus zu finden, holte sie uns von einem vereinbarten Treffpunkt in Santa Cruz ab. Die untere Etage des Hauses, welche gemietet werden kann, ist sehr gut ausgestattet. Für unseren 16 jährigen Sohn war es angenehm, ein separates Bad nutzen zu können. Es gibt sehr ausreichend Handtücher und auch die Küche ist sehr gut ausgestattet. Es ist wirklich alles vorhanden. Besonders angenehm war für uns, dass es genügend Geschirr gab, so dass wir nicht so oft den Geschirrspüler in Betrieb nehmen mussten. Es gibt eine separate Treppe zur Strandpromenade, auf der man sehr gut spazieren gehen kann. Der Ort ist nett und sehr sauber, zum Bäcker und Restaurants sind es nur gut 500 Meter. Wir empfehlen einmal zum Frühstück direkt zum Bäcker zu gehen. Hier trifft man wirklich auf das pure Leben von Madeira. Mit dem Busunternehmen SAM kommt man in gut einer Dreiviertel Stunde in einer Tippeltappeltour nach Funchal. Der Preis für hin und rück war 5€. E gibt dann in Funchal nur eine Bushaltestelle am Hafen von SAM. Dort fahren alle Buslinien von SAM ab. Zu empfehlen sind die Wanderungen. Wer gut zu Fuß ist kann die beiden höchsten Berge besteigen. Die gesamte Insel ist sehr schön. Man muss aber bedenken, dass man für Wege, trotz der angenehmen Schnellstraßen, längere Zeit benötigt. Durch die vielen Kehren braucht man schon mal doppelt so lange, als geplant. Wir danken den Vermietern sehr herzlich und können das Objekt uneingeschränkt empfehlen!
