Great neighborhood-Flat not as described.

The upside: We loved the diverse Pimlico neighborhood. A vibrant community with many dining choices, shops and attractive architecture. We loved being across from a school and watching young uniformed children being walked to and from school by their parents and observing the lively interactions of the older students. The close proximity of the tube was great. The flat was a bit of a letdown. There was no evidence of a recent renovation to a high standard. The window curtain was shabby and torn and the window was damaged. The cleanliness did not meet my wife’s high standards and there was a large water stain on the bathroom wall that appeared to be caused by internal dampness. It was inconvenient to be have to adjust the water temperature in the shower from the kitchen. There was no storage space, no top sheet for the bed and the clean bottom sheet supplied for changing did not fit the bed. The free phone has been removed.

Ok but not up to standard of Homeaway

We have stayed at many HomeAway properties. This one should be inspected. The location and shower were nice but there was not proper tableware or glasses. The glass collection seems like used candle jars or stolen nut bowls and a child’s mug? The bathroom has streaks on the wall , the wallpaper in the living room was peeling and there are cords and outlet strips covering the floor. The mattress is lumpy and uncomfortable though the sheets were fine. We got an email after leaving saying we had left our luggage there. Not sure what that was about because we left on time with all of our belongings. Great location, but would not stay again.

Great London Flat

We stayed in this funky, fun London flat at the beginning of May, and it was COLD! The weather, that is. The flat was cozy and warm - the heaters worked great and the extra comforter was perfect! The flat is in a great location - close to the Underground, with its easy to use subway system. We were able to get around all of London easily and relatively cheaply too. There are lots of great restaurants close by, and there are a number of markets for all that we needed. Everything was within close walking distance, and the neighborhood is great! The bus runs right in front of the flat, but there isn't a lot of city noise, and the neighborhood is calm, clean, and quiet - especially at night. There are two large shutters that are great privacy and security features too! The mini breakfast was fabulous! The British eggs have the most vibrant orange-yellow color, and are absolutely fresh and delicious. The pita breads were quite yummy, with lots of choices for toppings. The teas were really good, and each morning was a nice time to enjoy a cup! What a nice, welcome touch! Thank you! We thoroughly enjoyed our London adventure, and were especially happy to have chosen this flat for our stay! The TV was relatively easy to work, and we found Shaun the Sheep - which is one of our favorites to watch in Europe! He's so feisty! Plus the shower is especially big and so easy to use! Very interesting LED lighting that displays the water temperatures too! Fun and funky! :)

Clean, comfortable, and central!

My husband, 2 year old, and myself spent 10 days here in April 2019. The apartment was luxuriously close to Pimlico station, but the neighborhood itself was quiet. The bed was comfortable; hot water was plentiful; and the owners have clearly gone out of their way to add little touches that made our stay exceptionally pleasant. The food and tea were perfect and having a pair of slippers to pad around the apartment in was lovely. The space heaters were plenty to make the place toasty. The TV is backlit with blue LEDs that turned on in the middle of the night our first night, but we simply unplugged and went back to sleep. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it!

Great Trip

We had the best time in this cute Pimlico flat (May 2018). There was easy access to the underground, a couple of pubs around, the best Indian food I've ever had was located on the street behind the flat (Pimlico Tandoori). We arrived to a small bottle of wine, the kitchen was stocked with eggs, juice, water and a few other things (we stayed in another flat in Paris on this trip and had to go buy toilet paper, so I thought this was so nice and unexpected) The only thing that could have made the trip a little better was a loud fan to drown out the street noise. We live in a quiet neighborhood with hardly any street traffic and I am a light sleeper. There was a small, quiet fan that we utilized. When we return to London, we will definitely check and see if this place is available. Thanks so much for your hospitality.

Pleasantly surprised!

We've stayed in the central London area many times before, often around the corner from this flat in the small hotels. Great area, easy to get around from. This flat is as stated in the description, close to shops, the Thames, restaurants and the Tube. And definitely try Goya, the Spanish restaurant a few doors down, excellent seafood Paella! The space was clean, quiet, well fitted out with everything you need for your stay, we would book again! Very good value! The owners were very easy to deal with and always prompt with their replies.

Great Start of our British Isles Tour

We arrived early before our tour. The apartment was in a great location and close to an Underground Station. The apartment was well furnished and we had nice breakfast items ready for us. The Spanish restaurant down the block was excellent. Would stay again when in the area next.

Great Place in Central London

I was in London for work and this place was absolutely perfect. It is in an ideal location and less than a 5 min walk to the Pimlico tube station. The place itself has everything you need, well decorated and they really thought about what furnishings and amenities guests would need. The special touches of breakfast, teas and other complimentary items really set this place apart from many other vacation rentals I have stayed. If I come back to London I will definitely look to stay here again.

Close to tube. Owner thoughtful.

Very nice, clean, small flat. Close to tube. Owner responsive and thoughtful, she even had fresh tulips in a vase along with enough kitchen basics to get us going in the morning. We had a great week exploring the city and outskirts and were happy to be able to come back to such a nice place at night. The neighborhood is safe although the street can be noisey and there are only a few restaurants nearby. So we needed to plan ahead for dinners. Overall a great stay.

Nice apartment!

This apartment is in a great location - a VERY SHORT walk from Pimlico Station. My daughter and I found it very comfortable and loved all the mirrors - something often lacking in small studio apartments. The owners are extremely nice people. They left breakfast foods in the refrigerator, and checked on us after a couple of days. We found this accommodation perfect for us!!!

Cozy, quiet flat.

The flat was just as advertised. Cozy, quiet, and comfortable. The wine, eggs, bread and milk were a nice touch and made one feel welcome. The flat is also very close to the Pimlico tube station and a not too long walk to Houses of Parliament, Big Ben, etc. Overall an enjoyable stay and Sara was super responsive and very accommodating to my travel schedule. Will probably look to stay here again in the future.

Nice Place - Great Location

The unit it really well located - very close to underground. It was clean and well stocked. The wine and breakfast foods are a nice touch. The owners were very easy to deal with and responded to emails very quickly. It was clean and comfortable for two people. I would definitely stay here again and have already suggested it to a friend.

Good budget option with great location

Older building with inviting facade; close to Pimlico bus and tube or walk to Victoria Station. Breakfast cafe and markets for fresh or Middle-eastern options plentiful. Owners easy to communicate with, supplied a little wine, eggs, butter, milk, etc to get started (thank you). Kitchen fine, seating for only two; breakfast do-able. Space enough for two, but not a viable family option as the space is small. Loft unuseable with steep ladder, no ventilation and also unclean. Hot water on demand; shower faucet and fussy. Owners might improve property by a good cleaning, better electric lighting, more outlets, replacing shower fixture with something basic, more towels and TP. I would stay again if improved as stated and even pay more as the location is superb.

We loved this place

I will mimic what so many others have said. Great location, well appointed, clean, nice having food in the frig upon arrival. The bed is very comfortable. We used the the Pimlico tube station every day (2 short blocks away) London's subway system is very easy to use (get an Oyster Card!) We had the hot shower issue as well but it is easily remedied by turning down the water heater in the kitchen. We didn't notice a lighting problem that was mentioned in another review. We were the first to take advantage of brand new carpet in the flat:) We loved the location, close enough to the city center but just far enough away to have a city neighborhood feel i.e. a church 1/2 a block away, school nearby, a park two blocks away and the Thames about a ten minute walk away. I know you won't be disappointed with your stay here.

Great location and good value

We stayed for 4 nights in June. All transactions were without issue. All inquiries were answered very quickly. Nice to stay in a flat over a modern hotel - not huge, but certainly comfortable. The complimentary beverages and food items were appreciated. Just a couple blocks from the Pimlico tube station. We would definitely stay here when in London again.

Excellent flat

This flat was the perfect base - well appointed, comfortable, with owners who responded quickly to my questions. The flat is very close to the Pimlico Tube stop (under 5 minute walk), with convenient #24 bus nearby (to Trafalgar Square, Parliament Square, etc.) My only suggestions would be the addition of a cutting board in the kitchen and perhaps a more comfortable chair for sitting, but those are minor concerns. Overall this flat was perfect for me (a solo traveler), and I would certainly stay here again.

Wonderful location, great value!

We recently stayed for 6 nights and found this rental to be exactly as advertised. Sara and Amir were wonderful hosts and always promptly replied to any of our enquiries. We enjoyed their thoughtfulness in leaving some breakfast items as well as a few beverages and a welcoming bottle of wine. The bed was very comfortable! The location is convenient for public transportation and just a 10 minute walk to Victoria Station. Direct buses to most of the major attractions. Bus stop, groceries and local restaurants very close by. Laundromat a few steps away as well. Shower was a little too hot when we first arrived but we were able to adjust the water heater temperature easily enough. We rearranged the seating to accommodate our needs. There are fold up wooden chairs under the bed which we used at the little dining table and moved the cube seats under the large window to set our luggage on. This worked well for us. In our opinion this is a suitable space for two people or a couple with one older child who might find sleeping in the loft fun. There is a safe in the closet which we found to be very handy. One area that could be improved on with a quick fix is in the lighting. It is very dimly lit and difficult to read in the evening. There are 5 lamps but all have very small bulbs. Two new bright bedside lamps would solve the issue easily. During the daytime hours the flat is bright and has a nice large window. We would definitely stay here again when back in London and consider this is great value for the rate charged. Thanks Sara and Amir for a wonderful stay!

Great location and as expected.

We had a great stay in this easily accessible apartment. After a long day of travel, we easily found our home base that allowed us to get out quickly and start exploring starting with a walk to Buckingham Palace and Green Park. We appreciated have bread, milk and eggs awaiting our first breakfast and as noted there are a variety of groceries, pubs and restaurants within a short walk, our favorite being Cask. Sara was responsive and the apartment was clean.

Great location

Pros: convenient location within walking distance to many landmarks, restaurants and public transportation. Hosts were accommodating and flexible with arrival time. Price was right. Comfortable and clean. Cons: flat was cold as there was no heat other than a plug in electric heater. Hot water in the shower had some challanges.

Clean, great location, ground floor

This tidy little apartment is in a nice quiet, safe neighborhood with very easy access to buses and tube line. Bus 24 goes right up to Parliament square and many tourists sites. We rode the tube from Pimlico to Heathrow with only one change. The owners had many breakfast foods and other things in the refrigerator and we ate it all. I rated 3 stars because it is quite dark and basic in furniture. Do eat at the Spanish restaurant a few doors down and go around the block to the Indian restaurant. I would stay here again but husband would not.

Conveniently located ... CREEPY check out!

This conveniently located studio is great for 1 or 2 adults, or a couple with 2 kids at most. That however would make for a very crowded, "on top of each other" stay. The mezzanine "sleeping area" is about 3 feet (at most) from the ceiling and may be quite claustrophobic for adults. Not to mention having to climb a ladder to get up there. The double bed itself was very comfortable, and while there are no comfortable side chairs, there are at least a couple of folding chairs available under the bed. It was comfortable enough for a single person so if you're traveling alone (or as a couple), and don't mind using folding chairs for extra seating, I would definitely consider this studio. It's just one stop from all of the hectic traffic around Victoria Square, and has a couple of corner markets, a small grocery store, a bakery/cafe, and several restaurants and pubs all within three blocks or less. The Pimlico area was quite nice actually, and the Underground is less than 3 blocks away. The only real drawback I had was the fact that the morning of check-out, I had someone knocking on the door 30 minutes BEFORE checkout time telling me I had to hurry up and leave because the cleaning crew had to get the studio cleaned before they reported to work elsewhere. Amir and Sara should really address that issue and make sure it's not a normal occurrence. I travel to London often, and the last thing I want is someone standing outside the window watching me finish packing up and getting ready to vacate the premises. That may not be an issue for you if you plan on checking out early anyway. As a matter of fact, I will be in London again next year, but given the fact that some strange man was knocking on the door 30 minutes prior to checkout, and then stood outside looking through the window waiting for me to leave gives me pause to stay here again, and is the reason I only give this studio a 2 Star rating. At most a 3 Star rating anyway given the lack of comfortable seating. Perhaps if I hear from Amir and Sara that the pushy checkout issue has been rectified, I will stay here again next year.
