Fishtown Lodge - Cozy Leland Log Cabin Home - Quiet location but close to town

Enjoy the true Leelanau experience in our centrally located custom log home! Located just outside downtown Leland and Fishtown - the harbor, shops, public beaches and many hiking and biking trails of Leland are just around the corner. However the home's property at the end of a wooded cul de sac still feels quiet and secluded.

Our log cabin home has 3 bedrooms and 3 full baths, with a bedroom/full bath on each level - making it a perfect place to host up to 3 couples or a multi-generational family. There is a main floor master bedroom, large upstairs loft with a queen bed plus bunks, and fully finished walk out basement with the third bedroom and a family room/TV room. We love to cook and use the vacation home ourselves, so you will find the kitchen well stocked - not your typical rental kitchen.

Great for families and stocked with a Pack 'n Play, baby gates, high chair and games. The TV includes a Roku stick with YouTubeTV and more, plus Sonos wifi speakers on two levels. And we welcome your well behaved pets too!

In the summertime enjoy the large deck, outdoor furniture, fire pit and Weber charcoal grill. In the winter, cozy up under a blanket with the wood stove or take a soak in the master jetted tub.

Located in the heart of the Leelanau Peninsula, Fishtown Lodge has easy access to Northport, Sutton's Bay, Traverse City and Glen Arbor. Enjoy the areas many wineries, breweries and restaurants or beaches, hiking and biking trails.

The cabin was on a residential street, but you would never know it because the property was so private and peaceful. The home was clean with a fully-stocked kitchen and plenty of room to spread out. The ambiance was tranquil and cozy. Our dog liked it there too - so many places to sniff - and she loved being on the deck observing the yard. Mike, our host, was a pleasure to work with before and during our trip. He was cordial, responded quickly, and was very helpful in answering our questions. We had a wonderful time and would stay at Fishtown Lodge again!

Stayed at this log cabin for a long weekend with my husband and another couple for a weekend of golf, hiking, and dining out. The cabin was spotlessly clean and was lovely. It was well equipped with everything we could need. It was actually pretty hot for late September and the air conditioning worked great and kept the cabin comfortable. The location was perfect. Very close to downtown Leland, and just a short drive to other towns like Sutton’s Bay and Northport. Communication with Mike, the owner, was excellent throughout the booking process. We did have one night where the neighbors in the home behind this one were very loud, I’m assuming that house is another rental that allows Bachelor parties based on the noise, but inside with the doors and windows closed we could not hear them. Can’t really avoid that in any “vacation” town. Other than the rowdy young men on Saturday night, the surrounding area was peaceful and quiet. We would stay here again.

Mother’s Day trip to Fishtown and the Leelanau Peninsula

We have been coming to Leelanau for years and love everything about it. We first stayed in this home as a rental before purchasing it as a vacation home. It is a great place to relax and enjoy everything that Leelanau has to offer, and we are happy to share it with you!

What makes this property unique

This home is great for families, with a bedroom and full bath on every floor. The basement is fully carpeted and great for kids. The log cabin, wood stove and stone chimney vibe can't be beat. We love to cook so the kitchen is well-stocked, not your typical rental kitchen.
