Great Location

The house was beautiful with great access to the Del Mar beach, Del Mar Racetrack and walking distance from downtown Del Mar and Solana Beach. We particularly appreciated the air conditioning in the bedrooms because it got warm while we were there.

Once again- perfect home for us!

This is the second year renting this home and it was perfect once again. It's clean, the beds are comfortable and spacious for our family. The outdoor patio with table and fire pit were enjoyed each evening and the outdoor shower helped a ton when getting back from the beach with little ones. Hoping to come back for years to come!

Golf Getaway

We were a group of 4 traveling to the area on a golf trip and anniversary celebration. The property was perfect for us. We found it clean and tidy, and also was well stocked. The communication with the manager before, during, and after the stay was always timely and clear. We definitely would stay again in the future.

Good Location

The property manager was more than helpful, even offering us a partial refund if we left a 5 star review. The location was wonderful, close to Dog Beach where the dogs run free. The rental was a small duplex, very clean but needs attention. Beds and couch are not comfortable and appliances worn out.

Nice little place!

I used to live on 28th street for 10 years so I know the area well and wanted to be close to the River mouth. It's a nice house and great location for Del Mar and close to Solana Beach. The towel rack was coming off of the wall but I fixed it with a proper drywall anchor so it's good to go for years. 3 bedrooms would be nice but the extra bed in the master worked out fine. Easy walk to the beach and that's what we wanted.

Condo review.

Great location. We had electric bikes so not being able to use the garage was an inconvenience. Living room furniture could be more comfortable for watching TV. Refrigerator has a loud vibrating noice. Bedrooms were comfortable and bathrooms are a good size.

I was very excited about renting this house, but was very disappointed in the condition of the home when we arrived. The floors had not been mopped and vacuumed and there was dog hair on the floors and couches. Many of the glasses and dishes were not clean so I am assuming that they emptied the dishwasher without running it. The property manager offered to have the cleaning service come and clean that evening. They were running over an hour late so we rescheduled for the next morning. I received a call in the morning and was advised that they couldn’t make it and there was a slight possibility they could come in the afternoon. We were tired of waiting and decided to clean the house ourselves. Very disappointed.

The Perfect Choice

The owners of this renovated condo paid special attention to design, furnishings, and amenities that provide a sense of wellbeing from the moment you enter the property. The beautiful open kitchen ,dining and living areas were perfect for our birthday dinner party. The house was very clean and well stocked with nice towels ,soaps, beach gear and games, and there was ample parking. We loved sitting around the fire pit at night visiting with our family, and enjoying the weather. In short, the property was exactly as described. There are hundreds of good restaurants around, and if you cook at home, Seaside Market in Cardiff is a must!

Wonderful stay close to the beach!

We very much enjoyed our Thanksgiving break stay at the townhouse! While we were in town for a tournament and did not spend that much time at the property - we found it very clean and nicely appointed. The beach chairs/towels, boogie boards, bag of beach toys, outdoor shower etc. were so nice to have vs. purchase. And the location just a block off the beach was ideal. The train noise during the day was not an issue but if you are a light sleeper in the front bedroom, use the fan to help block the occasional freight train passing. With most of Del Mar near the tracks - the quality of the townhouse and location near the beach more than made up for this. The owner was easy to work with and very flexible with the arrival and departure timing. We will use again when back in the area. Thank you!!

Family time

Great location! Walk to beach, walk to Jakes on the beach. Beautiful! Pros: Nicely stocked with items to cook with, nice patio to hang out, comfortable downstairs and comfortable beds. Cons: no air downstairs so may be uncomfortable in the summer, only two towels for bedroom 2 and three for bedroom 1. Both rooms had two people for 5 nights. Bedroom 1 is spacious, very nice. Bedroom 2 is small. No closet, hung up clothes in the utility closet and in the garage downstairs. Facial tissues only in the downstairs bathroom and none in the rooms. Managed to work around the cons and would stay there again.

Birthday in Del Mar

Absolutely incredible trip to Del Mar, the house was better than described and SO clean. The 3 minute walk to the beach was the best for us & the dog. The house was extremely comfortable and felt like home shortly after arriving. By far my best vacation rental experience and we will make this an annual trip moving forward. Thank you for allowing us to stay.

Fantastic beach access

Great location & beach access, no huge cliffs to have to climb stairs. Not overly crowded at the beach. Great amenities in the house. We arrived late at night with the wrong code. Had to call a couple of numbers to get someone to give us the right code. A/C wasn’t working, third day up and running. King bed in primary with a double bed. We put our kids in the primary room & took the second room with a full size bed. Full size bed was fine but it needs to be replaced. It moves with you & makes lots of noises. Probably a bad spring. Just replace the mattress! Outdoor patio was great but the floor needs to be power washed, badly. Otherwise if your barefoot, the bottoms of your feet end up black. Also, the upstairs patio lock needs to be checked. My son & I got locked out. Beautifully landscape. Well stocked. We kept windows open (mainly because there was no a/c for a few days) but neighborhood was quiet and loved that we could keep them open. Train didn’t bother us. Fireplace in the living room was nice. We enjoyed our stay there!

Lovely Spot to Enjoy all Del Mar has to Offer!

We enjoyed our stay at the Vitamin Sea very much. The unit is updated and very comfortable. Perfect for a couple. The very best thing in my opinion is the location! Just a short walk to the beautiful Del Mar beach. My list of suggested improvements is short - living area furniture (couch and chairs) should be cleaned at the least or replaced at best; provide a second set of sheets for beds to make changing convenient; internet service drops periodically and speed not be adequate for remote work situations. We look forward to our next visit to Del Mar!
