About this property

Historic center of the city

A beautiful historic two bedroom home, walking distance to everything, private entrance. The Bnb unit is one whole side of an 1835 side-by-side duplex. Available for 1-4 people in the main rental home, 1 bedroom has a queen size bed, the 2nd has a full size bed. HOWEVER an adjoining additional bedroom is available with a queen size bed and en suite bathroom, xtra $75/night if additional room is desired for 2-3 guests, $50/ night extra if 4 guests are staying. If 5 guests are staying the extra room is required at $25/night and if 6 people are staying the room is included at no additional. Furnished with comfy couches, cotton linens, and a completely outfitted kitchen. Bedrooms are up stairs.
Although the house is one block from the center of town, shopping, restaurants, theater, antique shops, galleries, etc., it is quiet and has a private setting. A walk down a garden path to your private entrance takes you into a country kitchen/dining room and a comfortable living room with mantels carved by Conrad Burgess, high ceilings, lots of windows and original wood floors.
This is the 'Second North House'; this is the home that Charlotte and John North built when they left the First North House which is now The North House Museum. The beds are topped with memory foam, the sheets fine cotton, with duvets and fluffy pillows. The towels are 100% cotton and the shampoos and hand soaps are natural and high quality. You have your own fully outfitted kitchen, private updated baths and an outdoor grill on a private patio. Private and quiet, yet one short block from the quaint historical center.

Historical Gem
A great location with character. Comfortable accommodations with plenty of bedrooms and baths, ample outdoor porch area to gather. Owner available next door and very welcoming. Outside planted area makes the environment relaxing. Parked the car and could walk everywhere in town the whole weekend.

We enjoyed our stay! The house was as advertised, Kelley was easy to communicate with and we were within walking distance to food, drink, etc. Worked well for our family of 3!

Location, Location!
Had a wonderful time! This was our second stay here. The location is perfect, as you can easily go everywhere in the downtown by walking. Tried the French Goat for the first time and it was unbelievable. Delicious. The home is also very close to the Briergarten, which we visited numerous times. I’d only suggest updating the linens, but other than that it’s perfect. The host is so easy to deal with and checkin and checkout was a breeze. Can’t wait to return!!
