Stay in Casa Bordadeira

We had a great stay at Casa Bordadeira. The house was clean, comfortable, and just as expected. Some morning street noise from passing cars, but it wasn’t a big issue. Communication with the hosts was excellent. Highly recommend!

Lovely little property

We stayed at the Casa da Bordadeira over Christmas and had a fabulous time. The property was a cosy little place to spend time together, and a great base for hitting the Levada walks. Communication before arrival from the host was excellent and clear, and included everything we needed to know before arriving, during our stay and upon departure. The view from the property has to be seen to be believed, absolutely stunning. Though do make sure you are a confident driver in a good quality hire-car, as it's quite the rollercoaster ride getting up and down the incredibly steep hills! Be aware that the bedroom is near to a road with frequent passing cars - it didn't bother us, but worth being aware of if you are particularly sensitive to traffic noise at night. All in all, a great stay - thank you to our hosts for having us :)

Rhapsodic Window Onto This Island Jewel

Part II of my Review The small community of Loreto where the Casa is located, has one main street with several bars, an appliance shop, a market, and a grocery store. The grocery is well stocked (and there is also a chain of large modern groceries scattered around the island). We enjoyed Sunday service at the Catholic Church in town with its outside pews. We also especially enjoyed discovering the network of verada that connected homes and gardens in the terrraced hillsides. Suddenly, at the end of a week we uncovered the community of this lovely little town. Many thanks to Odete and João who welcomed us so graciously to their property. Odete was particularly helpful in responding immediately to questions about the very modern kitchen appliances (a convection oven and an induction range). I am pleased to be able to sing the praises of Casa da Bordadeira with unrestrained enthusiasm.

Es war herrlich Das Appartment war sauber und hat alles was man braucht um sich wohlzufühlen, auch für Selbstversorgung, gute Spülmaschine, Induktionskochfeld, diverse Küchengeräte, Delta Kapselkaffeemaschine (vergleichbar mit Nespresso), etc..Die Gastgeber Odete und Joao sind sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Auf Anmerkung im Bad sei es sehr kühl und die Frage, wo man Holz für den Kamin bekommt, brachten sie uns am gleichen Abend eine Heizung für das Bad und Holz für den Kamin.Ein besonderes Extra war die wundervoll charmante Katze die mehrmals täglich zum "Kuscheln" vorbeikam oder einfach zum sonnen auf der Terasse lag. Wir haben es geliebt

Wunderschönes Haus in toller Lage. Moderne und komfortable Einrichtung. Die Ruhe und die herrliche Aussicht habe ich sehr genossen. Außergewöhnliche Unterkunft mit Meerblick

Das hübsche Ferienhäuschen war mit allem, was für einen perfekten Urlaub notwendig ist, ausgestattet. Die sehr freundlichen Vermieter begrüßten uns mit frischen Blumen und Obst in einer Unterkunft mit vielen Annehmlichkeiten. Besonders hervorzuheben ist der tolle Blick von der hübschen Terrasse. Eine sehr empfehlenswerte Unterkunft, die keine Wünsche offen ließ!
