We enjoyed our winter escape, we spent our days hiking the many nearby trails. The cabin was close, enough to walk the shops in town.

Thank you Joan for the feedback, we are very happy that you got to enjoy your escape here at Snug Harbor Inn. Also glad that you got to enjoy the hiking trails that are around. We hope that you will come again in the future.
Beautiful water front property. Room was a little dirty(spider webs, thick dust, etc.) but nothing more than a lot of hotels I’ve stayed in. If you are staying with young kids beware the fire place is always hot to touch with pilot light on. Staff was very friendly, easy check-in/check-out, and great price for stay.

Enjoyed this nice cottage, which is right on the channel. Our dog enjoyed it too! It was a quiet time of the year, and the gas fireplace was a real bonus during the colder days and nights.

Snug Harbor is a must to stay at when visiting Sturgeon Bay. It is beautifully located on the water. It is very peaceful and tranquil. If I could rate it the experience it would be 10 out of 10.
Our stay at Snug was so much fun. The cottage is in a great spot with unobstructed views of the canal and an easy walk to the downtown area where we enjoyed drinks and food at some local spots. The fireplace kept us toasty during a snow storm. The kitchenette had everything we needed to make dinner and avoid going out in the storm. Can't wait to come back here in the warmer months.
This cute little cottage was right on Sturgeon Bay. It was a great location. Very clean. The only thing that wasn't great was the couch had seen better days. Otherwise, it was a great experience!

Overall good
Good: great view, quiet, clean, fire pits
Needs: screens on front of building for fresh air would have been nice.
Online description was very accurate. Neat and cared for property. Nice location, water view relaxing. Good place for a winter stay if you're somewhat of a loner like us. The property is indeed "Snug" between the road and water, but quiet in the winter. Amenities sufficient. Would stay again.

Thank you for the feedback! Glad you enjoyed the property, loction, and the view! We sure hope that you will stay with us again in the the future!
My wife and I do an annual retreat every year where we take a few days to relax, read, and spend time together. Door County in the off-season has fewer people and Snug Harbor is a great place to stay. It is always clean, in a quiet neighborhood within walking distance of the downtown area, and quite peaceful. The gas fireplace and view out the front window are particular highlights of the cottage we stayed in. This is our fourth time staying at Snug Harbor and we have never been disappointed. Don't change anything--thank you!

Hi Gregory! It's always a pleasure having the two of you visit. Thank you for taking the time to give us a great review 😊 Until next year!
Awesome location right on the water . The place was very clean and comfortable and the property was really nice. The individual cottages are really quiet. The neighborhood is upscale and great to walk around. If you are a cook you might want to bring your own Pyrex pans, garlic press and cheese grater because there aren’t any here. We would recommend and visit again. 😊👍
The property was a cozy cottage, clean, adequately stocked. The bed mattresses are aging and could be replaced. The harbor wasn't very pretty due to low water levels, not the fault of the property manager at all. Just a comment for those hoping for a lovely water view. Easy to find and adequate parking.
The cottage was very cozy and charming. The fireplace warmed the living room/kitchen nicely, which was much appreciated in January in Wisconsin! The whole place was very clean and comfortable, with a great view of the waterfront. Being close to a main bridge, I wasn't sure if there would be much noise, but the whole neighborhood was very quiet and inviting. My wife and I also liked that a number of houses nearby still had Chistmas decorations up, even though it was early Jan. Thank you!

Thank you Gregory for your feedback. Glad you got to enjoy the fireplace, and have a nice quite and inviting stay! We hope that you will come back in the future!
Everything was very nice and the people were friendly. Only issue we had was the AC went out in the cabin. They said they had someone coming so we went out for the day. Got back and it still wasn't working. Was told to give it a couple hours and that the guy would be back again to check on it. It never worked and no one showed up. Otherwise it'd have been 5 out of 5.

We enjoyed our stay in this cottage. Kitchen was well stocked, everything was very comfortable.
We loved this cabin for a short getaway weekend on the lake. It was cozy, the bed was surprisingly comfortable, and we LOVED the fireplace- such a great winter addition! Would recommend for a reasonably priced, cozy weekend retreat. :)
Snug Harbor is located in a great area- on the water, 4 minute drive from downtown, close to hiking paths and state parks. The property was clean. It is small but perfect for a couple. Kitchen is equipped with essentials. If you're planning to do a lot of cooking, you may want to bring some pots and pans as there aren't many. Very friendly and helpful hosts!
We are a family run a small hotel in Sturgeon Bay, WI. I was a school teacher and my husband a welding inspector but decided to try our hand at running a hotel. We started 30 years ago and have never looked back. We love it. It does get a bit cold in the winter.... haha
