A modern and very clean villa with everything you need to relax

Spotlessly clean, with a great pool to cool down in July (when we visited), the lady looking after the villa lives two doors down and although she doesn’t speak English was very helpful. She even picked us up from a beach bar when we couldn’t get a taxi on our last night! We weren’t too impressed with town, nowhere nice to eat but it was a good base to explore the island.

Location parfaite en famille

La location est parfaite. Il y a du Linge de lit, serviettes,wifi et climatisation Une personne est venu s'occuper de la piscine. Il y a une superrette, resto et marchand de glace à 10 minutes à pieds. Nous n'avons pas eu acces au procedure d'arrivée. Apres coup de téléphone la personne nous a donné le code pour accéder aux clés. Exterieur avec piscine très agréable

Wir haben diese Unterkunft aufgrund der beschriebenen Lage und des Pools gebucht. Nachdem wir zuvor schon einige Tage in einer anderen Unterkunft auf der Insel genossen hatten freuten wir uns auf die neue Villa, welche laut Beschreibung in einer ruhigen Wohnstraße befindet. Die Vorderseite des Hauses liegt in einer Wohnstraße, die Rückseite mit Garten und Pool jedoch direkt an einer Ortsausgangsstraße. Dort fahren tagsüber teils mehrere Autos in der Minute durch. Der Pool liegt quasi direkt neben dem Gehweg getrennt durch einen weissen, teils einsichtigen Zaun. Während des Aufenthaltes am Pool hört man ständig Autos und Motorräder vorbeifahren. Wir hatten eigentlich geplant, morgens nach dem Aufstehen den Virmittag gemütlich am Pool zu verbringen und dann Nachmittags zum Strand zu fahren. Im Endeffekt haben wie Erwachsene den Pool überhaupt nichtngenutz und die Kinder waren nur kurz Vormittags vor dem Frühstück im Pool, da es Abends auch zu kühl war, denn der Pool war auch nicht warm. Das Haus selbst war in Ordnung und sauber, wirkte nach unserem Aufenthalt auf einer Farm zuvor jedoch sehr kühl und wie in einer Fernsesendung bei HGTV eingerichtet. Die Kommunikation mit Valentina war leider für mein Empfinden nicht besonders gut. Wir bekamen vorab Infos über WhatsApp zum Zugang zum Haus und eine Anleitung zur Müllentsorgung. Als ich nach Ankunft um Toilettenpapier bat, kam eine andere Frau um dieses zu bringen. Sie wirkte empört, als ich mich mit Expedia in Verbindung setzte.

Lovely Villa for a family holiday

We had a very nice time staying at Villa Martina. It was a perfect space for our family of four. Both the indoor and outdoor spaces were comfortable and had everything we needed. The kitchen is fully equipped and had all the essentials plus more. Our kids loved the pool, which was a perfect size/depth for small children. The air conditioning worked well and efficiently, and we were happy to have easy access to a washing machine. Our first night we did have a problem with the gas to the stovetop not being turned on, but the host took care of it quickly. The WiFi is also a bit spotty, so if you need it for work be sure to have a backup plan. It wasn’t working for about half of our stay. The villa is located on a quiet residential street. Many of the surrounding villas were vacant during our stay at the end of June, but I would expect it to be a bit more lively during July/August. Valledoria has plenty of nice restaurants, pizzerias, supermarkets all within a 10-15 minute walk. Overall, we loved our stay here and would definitely recommend it. A car is definitely necessary if you’re planning to explore the northern coast of the island, and the villa was centrally located so that we were able to see many of the highlights both east and west. Thank you to the host for her hospitality! We hope to return again someday!

Villa avec piscine très agréable. La maison est équipée de climatiseurs dans toutes les pièces parfait pour un mois d'août très chaud. La région est magnifique, plein de belles plages à une distance très réduite et beaucoup de jolis villages à voir. La prestation était très bien, le personne qui gère la location est très aimable et parle francais et reste très disponible. Le seul point à reprocher est la proximité de la Villa Voisine équipée aussi d'une piscine et juste séparé par un petit grillage de bambou. Sinon que du bonheur!

wonderful stay

This rental object ist in very good condition. Everything that you need for a vacation is available. Our Kids really liked the pool. almost every day someone passed by and cleaned, maintained the pool. We also liked the big shower. Its a quiet area, close to stores and beaches. we can recommend this property very much !

Positive and Negative experience(Think before order)

We had an ok stay at this villa, but we had some negative experience that we will share now. 1. The electrisity is not working when we use aircondition and dishwasher at once! So it allways turns off, when we use it normal,and not much.It means that if you want to make a pizza, then you must turn off all other things, and use candles. 2. We ask for a madrass on our babys bed, and the owners help next door(Val), Dont want to help us at first, only after complaining to the owner.Of course we must have a madrass on the bed for a baby!!"Can not sleep at the floor"3. The garden on the other side of the house, must be fixed so its possible to use it.4.This is is also a bad place for family with children. Its Not a playground anywere and not much to do for them!Its also bad wifi,so kids can not play games5. It was bad information about garbage rools, so we use much time to try to learn it, and to throw away garbage. Its not what you want to be doing on a holiday.6.Comunication with Valentina was also very difficult, because she not speak any english, so it can be much missunderstandings,and we felt misstrusted and unfair treated sometimes.7.Overall it was a ok stay,but espesially the problem with electrisity was a Big problem!We almost want to move to other house!Its not a place for children! When we ask questions about leaving house, we not get any answers, and not any people come to check house, and to say goodbye before we go home. Maybe that is normal in Italy, but we are not use to it! Arrividerchi.

Dear Glenn, I am extremely sorry to hear that you had not a good stay in the villa. Even though I always ensure that all the guests have a good and relaxing holidays and leaves happy, I cannot get right all of the time so I apologize for the inconvenience happened during your stay. I live only a few doors away so I am normally always available to help all the guests. I appreciate this reviews as this help me to improve my job and we take the situation seriously indeed. The electricity problem has been fixed so now you can use dishwasher and oven at the same time. I know my English is not very good that's why a lady who speaks English is helping me and she will especially during the summer with all of the foreign guests who speaks English or Spanish. We prepared for you a baby cot in the house, we never had problem with our mattress. As requested We sorted out and we buy for you a latex mattress for your child. I will provide more information for the rubbish if this help more our guests, absolutely not a problem for me. I will provide immediately. I am also sorry that I did not say goodbye to you when you leave. Best regards Valentina
