About this property

Characteristic 3 bedroom house with huge terrace with sea view and plunge pool.

Orange Tree House, built over 300 years ago has been lovingly restored to retain the original characteristics whilst giving all the comforts of home, and consists of a lounge diner, with Antique Sardinian Ottoman which can be used as an extra single bed, a wood burning fire, and open kitchen with all facilities for cooking, including a fan oven, hob, porcelain stone sink, a dishwasher, and a fridge freezer.
The Master double bedroom, where one can see the sea whilst lying in bed, looks out to the large terrazzo at the front, and has a beautiful, marble en-suite bathroom, with a large shower, bidet, hand basin and W.C. The 2nd double bedroom, has French windows onto the private courtyard garden at the back. The 3rd bedroom with three single beds, also faces the courtyard at the back. There is also a 2nd beautiful marble bathroom, again with a large spacious shower, a bidet, hand basin and W.C.
There is a huge garden terrazzo at the front with views to the sea in the near distance and beyond to the medieval castle of Castelsardo. There is a wonderful large BBQ set-up, a large table and chairs for eating Al-Fresco, partly shaded by a vine pergola and partly by a large umbrella, there are various benches and some sun loungers.
At the back there is a wonderful, private garden courtyard, with a beautiful marble Roman Bath style plunge pool, an outside shower, as well as a large shaded table and chairs for eating Al Fresco. There is a washing machine, sink and laundry area.
There is a Smart T.V., and plug in for music from i-phone, android etc. and a newly updated free, fast Wi-Fi Internet connection, so that the entire family can keep up to date with friends and work as they wish.
500 metres down the road is an ‘Agriturismo’ or farmers restaurant, where the proprietor produces everything served on the table, including salami, pecorino (sheep’s cheese), home made pastas, suckling pig, Sardinian sweets and great local wine and liquors and of course one can walk home.

Outstanding property with loveley chosen interior. Great view to the cost and sea. Optimal location to explorer the north-eastern and north- western coast and the mountains of sardinia. The sheltered patio with the refreshing roman bath and the large terrace were outstandig, professionally planted with local cacti and succulents. We had a wonderful time there in summer 2025. Vittoria and David were lovely and helpful hosts.

Fantastic Family Stay – Highly Recommended!

We visited this beautiful location as a family in September 2024 and stayed for 10 nights. I highly recommend this place – it has everything you need to feel at home and comfortably cook and live as a family. The stunning sandy beach of Poltu Biancu is less than a 10-minute drive away. We loved the breathtaking views and the refreshing breezes from the apartment – it made our stay so relaxing. David and Vittoria were wonderful hosts. They were always available when we needed them but gave us plenty of privacy when we didn’t. We had a fantastic experience, and we’d love to return!

Glorious!

We had the most wonderful stay at David and Vittoria's property after having received a very warm welcome in person from them both. A generous gift of a bottle of David's homemade canonnau wine along with some home grown strawberries, an array of nuts and a vase of magnificent irises made the welcome even more personal. A stunning and extremely well appointed home from home with the added benefit of magnificent views out to the ocean and beyond. All necessary amenities available in very nearby Viddalba and Badesi and easy access to so many coastal and town destinations. David and Vittoria were so friendly and helpful and offered plenty of advice and suggestions on restaurants, places to visit etc. Thank you to them for helping make our holiday in Sardinia so memorable.

Concernant la possibilité d'un troisième WC, la coutume en Italie est généralement d'avoir les WC dans la salle de bain et nous avons pensé que 2 salles de bain avec WC couvriraient le maximum d'invités. Concernant un salon supplémentaire, nous pensons que le salon avec un coin cuisine, étant donné qu'il y a un coin cuisine extérieur et 2 espaces extérieurs adaptés pour manger, avec table et chaises, ainsi que des installations de détente, devrait couvrir ces besoins. Sehr entspannend und eine tolle Aussicht

Sehr netter Empfang von Vittoria und David,eine Überraschung nach der langen Reise stand auch für uns bereit. Kühles Wasser und ein leckerer Bio Rotwein und eine Melone. Die Gegend ist richtig entspannend, es war sehr ruhig. Die Aussicht von der Terrasse ist so schön, tolle Aussicht beim Essen. Die zweite Terrasse mit dem römischen Bad unter dem Orangenbaum ist auch wunderschön. Das alte Haus ist liebevoll gestaltet und die Gegend ist vielseitig unter wunderschön.

Tolle Ferienwohnung mit besonderem Charme

Wir waren als 5 köpfige Familie im August 2023 zu Gast bei David und Vittoria und haben uns hier sehr gut aufgehoben und betreut gefühlt. Die Gastgeber sind sehr sympathisch und unkompliziert und haben die Wohnung, sowie das gesamte Anwesen, mit Liebe zum Detail hergerichtet. Die Ferienwohnung hat eine tolle Lage als Ausgangspunkt zur Erkundung des nördlichen Sardiniens und ist mit allem ausgestattet, was man im Urlaub benötigt. Besonders haben uns der fantastische Blick von der Terrasse und das Römerbad unter dem Orangenbaum gefallen. Kurzum: Ein wunderbarer Ort zum Träumen, Entspannen und Wohlfühlen !

Laut Inserat wird ein Ferienhaus angeboten, ist aber nur eine Ferienwohnung (sehr schön), Eigentümer wohnen im Obergeschoss und Untergeschoß wird ebenfalls vermietet. Internet trotzt WLAN nicht immer verfügbar. Hätte es nicht gebucht, wenn das Inserat korrekt wäre.

Nun, es ist Auslegungssache, es tut uns leid, wenn Sie die Beschreibung und die Fotos nicht verstanden haben, obwohl es sich nicht um ein Einfamilienhaus handelt. Das Haus, in dem Sie wohnten, ist völlig in sich geschlossen und privat, ohne gemeinsame Teile, also könnte man es vielleicht eine "Maisonette" nennen, aber es ist kaum eine Wohnung, und sicherlich hatten wir noch nie eine Beschwerde dieser Art. Als Sie ankamen, haben wir Sie und Ihre Frau (wie alle Gäste) gefragt, ob Ihnen das Haus gefallen hat und Sie sagten, es sei sehr schön. Daher halten wir Ihre Bewertung von 3 Sternen (erste seit 12 Jahren) für etwas hart, und bei den verschiedenen Gelegenheiten, bei denen wir miteinander gesprochen haben, haben Sie Ihre Enttäuschung nie erwähnt. Wir legen Wert auf die Meinung unserer Gäste und sind stets bemüht, unseren Service zu verbessern. Dieses Jahr haben wir ein neues Satelliten-Internetsystem, das das alte ADSL-System ersetzt und zuverlässiger ist.

Merci pour l’accueil de David et Vitoria La maison est très propre Sans climatisation mais nous le savions et il a fait très très chaud . Bien située proche de Badesi Il faut juste préciser que cette maison ne fait pas 235m2 mais 80 je pense C est l’ensemble des biens à louer qui fait cette surface Nous avons dit aux propriétaires que ce serait bien qu’ils modifient leur annonce . Cela ne nous a pas gêné car nous étions 4 mais l’annonce est malgré tout faussée

Magnifique endroit

Nous avons beaucoup apprécié cette maison pleine de charme, à la décoration authentique et bien choisie. Les 2 terrasses sont super et permettent de passer des moments à l Ombre, de se rafraîchir dans le bain romain et d être loin des touristes. La vue sur la mer et les couchers de soleil sont splendides. L accueil par David et Vittoria est chaleureux. Et nous avons pu découvrir chaque jour une plage différente sans faire trop de voiture. Un très bel endroit et de magnifiques vacances!

Einzigartiger Rückzugsort

Wir waren von der Ferienwohnung absolut begeistert. Sie ist noch viel schöner und gemütlicher als es die Bilder im Internet darstellen können. Es ist ein perfekter Rückzugsort, um die Seele baumeln zulassen. Es ist alles bis ins Detail geplant und liebevoll eingerichtet. Jeden Abend kann man auf der vorderen Terrasse den Sonnenuntergang geniessen, auch Grillen ist hier möglich. Auf der hinteren Terrasse, die einem Atrium gleicht, kann man im kleinen römischen Bad entspannen oder falls es in seltenen Fällen mal regnet unter einer Überdachung trotzdem draußen essen. Ein Auto ist notwendig, um Bäcker, Supermarkt oder Restaurants zu erreichen.

Great stay, not for everyone

The house of David and Vittoria is definitely unique, authentic and charming but its location may not please every traveller. We were decently happy with our stay in there because we were mentally ready for long sinuous mountain roads but we realized not everyone is like us. The house is situated in Azzagulta, a lovely village in the mountains of north Sardinia. A 5 minutes drive takes you to Badesi (N) or Viddalba (S) where you can get pretty much anything you need. The area (10-15km radius) is so rich with fresh produce of supreme quality (fruits and veggies) and also wine. The are a few decent beaches at 15 to 30 minutes drives but don't expect them to be mind-blowing. Also, all the roads that takes to those beaches are sinuous. The house itself is comfortable to stay in and the roman bath is lovely and useful. The sunset is absolutely stunning, too, especially with bbq. Mattresses are comfy, kitchen has everything you need in terms of kitchenware. We had an electricity outage and Vittoria came and fixed it in a blink of an eye. The house could have been cleaner at check-in, mainly the corners in rooms. Also, some basic house stuff was missing like black pepper and soap. Dishwasher and washing machine products were almost gone so we had to buy our own. We've stayed in many guest houses before and always found enough of those so I think that's how it's supposed to work. All in all, our stay was great but not perfect. We would only stay at the Orange Tree House again outside the summer/beach time. Thanks David and Vittoria for everything!

Tolles Ambiente in toller Umgebung

In einem liebevoll hergerichteten Objekte lässt sich entspannt die Seele baumeln. Etwas abgelegen von Badesi, in Azzagulta liegt die FeWo in herrlicher Lage mit Blick über die ganze Bucht und ausgerichteter Sonnenuntergangsbank. Das Römerbad im Hinterhof läd zur Erfrischung ein. Die Umgebung ist höchst abwechslungsreich, ob Castelsardo oder Sandstrand oder Therme. Klare Empfehlung mit garantiertem Erholungsfaktor.

Entspannung pur

Wir haben uns im Orange-Tree-Haus sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Ausstattung ließ keine Wünsche offen, die Betten waren bequem, der halb überdachte Innenhof bot Schutz vor Sonne, Regen und Wind und die Terrasse atemberaubende Sonnenuntergänge. Das Haus ist mit viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet, mit vielen Naturmaterialien und verspielten Elementen wie der Uhrensammlung auf der Küchenzeile. Alles hat eine besondere persönliche Note. Vittoria und David haben uns herzlich empfangen und waren während unseres Aufenthaltes bei Fragen und Problemen sofort zur Stelle. Alles in Allem in jeder Beziehung 5 Sterne!

Traumhaft ruhige, schöne Ferienwohnung

Sehr nette und bemühte Vermieter, eine sehr geschmackvolle Wohnung in einem tollen alten Haus mit super Terasse und schattigem, gemütlichen Hinterhof mit kleinem „Privatpool“. Laut unserer Kinder ein „Mini-Paradies🌅!“

Sehr zu empfehlen

Sehr sympathische und zurückhaltende Vermieter, ruhige Lage und eine sehr gut ausgestattete Wohnung. Wir haben die lauen Abende auf der Terrasse mit Blick aufs Meer und Abendessen vom gemauerten Grill sehr genossen. Zwei niedliche Katzen schauen manchmal vorbei. Man benötigt unbedingt ein Auto, der Sandstrand, Supermarkt und Eisdiele sind dann in 10-15 Min erreichbar.
