Wonderful location on the water. Convenient to parks and the Portland area. Plenty of space for 7 adults and 1 two year old. Appreciated that we were allowed to bring a dog.
Nice 5 bedroom 3 bath home. Amazing views! Laid-back community but close to Crescent Beach, Portland Head Light for nature lovers. 20 minutes from Downtown Portland for those who want more excitement. Ideal family stay!!
Peabbles Cove neighborhood was quiet and isolated with amazing cove views. However, the little town of Cape Elizabeth has everything you'd need (gourmet market, super market, CVS, gas station) for your stay. Easy access to Fort Williams, beaches, walking trails, and all that Portland offers.
The location on Cape Elizabeth is ideal, with easy drives to Portland and environs. The house was as advertised, with lots of open space, direct access to the beach, and a ping-pong table!!! The views are to die for, with some of the most beautiful sunrises and sunsets we've ever seen. We had a wonderful time!
Spectacular views over the ocean and incredibly peaceful. Conveniently located with a short drive to the center of Portland for everything you'll need from restaurants and bars to shopping. You can swim / kayak / paddleboard right from the property. The owner and housekeeper are extremely responsive and addressed one small issue we had within a couple of hours. Would definitely stay here again!
Clean, comfy for family of 8 from ages 3-58. Bedrooms to accommodate all, plenty of cookware and dish ware for cooking/eating. Gorgeous ores of sunrise/sunset and lots of sea glass hunting in the cove.
The home is beautifully decorated. Two of the bedrooms have spectacular views of the ocean. We all found the place to be cozy so didn’t mind just hanging out on rainy days. There are many nearby paths and parks for walking. We found great restaurants in the immediate area and Portland is so close. Highly recommend.

It was great to have you at the house in September. Indeed, two bedrooms have direct open ocean views. Two more face the ocean fron a side, the living room, the kitchen and the main bathroom all have spectacular panoramic views of the open ocean.
We had a great stay in Cape Elizabeth. Denis was always quick to respond and very helpful with the rental process. The house is beautiful and well-equipped. The views are unparalleled - there is nothing like the Maine coast! We are very appreciative of Denis sharing his home and would certainly return again.
Thanks again,
Dave
My family (two elementary school-aged kids, two adults, and three mid-70s grandparents) had a blast at this lovely house right on the water. The kids loved exploring the water and all of the marine life there. It was so peaceful to simply open up the windows of the house and get the sights, smells, and sounds of the waterfront. There were a couple of very minor issues that came up, and the property manager was very quick to respond and remedy things by phone/text.
The house had beautiful views and was accurate in its posting. The owners were unfriendly and informed us during our stay that neighbors were spying on us and reporting back to them (i.e. when our car was parked for 30 minutes in the wrong place, the neighbors took photos and complained). This and other communications made us very uncomfortable. They were not welcoming or kind. I have never had an experience like that at a rental property before.

Total misrepresentation of the situation. Our fantastic neighbors notified us that our tenants park their cars on the lawn with the garden instead of the driveway. The house manager contacted the guests regarding the issue. The guests told the manager that that’s not true. The house manager sent them photos of the cars destroying the lawn and the garden. The guests apologized. Not worth hosting these guests.
This house is fantastic! The views from all three floors are spectacular and the Adirondack chairs a perfect place for morning coffee or late afternoon cocktail. If you like nature there are lots of sea birds – and land birds for that matter. Loved leaving the windows open at night to hear the waves splash on the rocky beach. Had to work on occasion, but this was one of the finest remote work locations I’ve tried. Great proximity to multiple beaches, excellent location for bicycles, restaurants & grocery, Portland isn’t too far away. Our time here was outstanding!
We had a month+ rental from mid-January to mid-Feb. Being ocean front in winter was spectacular. We had two major storms and power and wifi stayed on! The morning light, the endless views of the ocean - just breathtaking. A few things about the house - we had as many as 3 people working full time over several consecutive days with constant video conferencing and the wifi was exceptional. Also had our dog and the house is super pet-friendly with doors that can close off each floor. We were especially grateful for the mudroom area that provided an all important place to leave muddy/snowy boots and heavy coats. It was definitely cold! Such a bonus to have 5 bedrooms - all with comfortable beds - as we chose the location to be close to both Boston and Maine family so we filled up over the weekends. The floor-plan flexed really well - comfortable for just me when I was there alone for several days up to sleeping many over a weekend. House was sufficiently stocked with dishes, etc. Location can’t be beat with beautiful beaches like Crescent and Higgins a short drive away, as well as Ft Williams so plenty of places to hike/walk and allow our pup to be off-leash. A few close places like C-Salt to get sandwiches and great baked goods/wines, as well as the a small grocery store made everything convenient and being so close to the phenomenal restaurants in Portland can’t be beat.
We will absolutely return!
We enjoyed our stay! Beautiful views and super-nice accommodations! Lots of restaurants and breweries within 20 minutes, and gorgeous places to walk or enjoy the coast.
An amazing house in a perfect location! Couldn't ask for a better end to summer...the house has everything you need (ping pong table was a great perk), and the "backyard" is the best! Would definitely book again and am looking forward to next year!!
We loved our stay here! The house and property are incredibly relaxing and beautiful. The large windows overlooking Casco Bay, the private beach, and the decor were all wonderful. Denis was a great host who quickly answered any questions and offered great recommendations. Highly recommend!!!
Gorgeous setting, impeccably clean and comfortable house
We had a fantastic stay at "Mainestay". The view is breathtaking from so many rooms in the house, the house had clean lines and non-obtrusive, elegant decoration and the host was extremely responsive whenever we had questions.

About the host
Hosted by Denis
Two managers taking care of our properties Danielle and Cindy Olsen, a well respected greater Portland area real estate professional.
Co-owner, Denis, loves travel and enjoys hearing the stories from other travellers. He is in a different country every month. Do not hesitate to ask for tips. He came to Maine for the first time 20 years ago and fell in love with this beautiful part of the World.
Justin, the other co-owner, grew up in coastal Massachusetts, between Boston and Cape Cod. There are many beautiful beaches and coastlines all over the world but the rugged Northeast coast is hard to beat.
