Summer Place II at Pine Point is newly built 5 bedrooms 3.5 baths that sleeps 12 very comfortably. 1st floor has a large open room with all walls and ceiling finished with nautical shiplap wood, a beautiful gas fireplace, open to a screen porch, all overlooking the water..... Tastfully decorated thru out with two master bedroom suite, one with a open deck, great for morning coffee or sunbathing, and en suite bath with whirlpool tub, the other master with an en suite bath that has body jets in the walk in shower. Both have tremendous water, marsh, boats, and sunset views....Central air thru out, 5 T.V., quality beds and linens, large yard with wood burning fire pit surrounded with adirondack chairs, gas grills and tables overlooking the water... Just two bock to a great sandy 7 mile beach, walk to several restaurants and lobster pound.....Easy access into Portland (12 miles) or catch the trolley to Old Orchard and the Pier....... Wonderful Location/Beautiful House

We stayed here for a week for our annual "friends-cation". It is in a quiet neighborhood, and very close to all that we wanted to do. The restaurant scene was spotty nearby, but we knew that would be the case as we were there in the off-season. I would love to go back to try some of the more interesting-looking restaurants when open. I gave fewer stars for the accuracy of the listing because there was no notice of the HUGE amount of stairs from the bottom to the top. We have one in our group with knee issues and it was an issue. We were led to believe the kitchen would be a full kitchen. It is not. There is a wonderful microwave and oven, but NO stove top. There are two plug-in hobs which do not give ample cooking temperatures, nor is there room in the tiny kitchen to cook. We had planned on cooking some nights, due to the off-season Restaurant situation, and it was a nightmare. We finally ended up steaming our lobsters on the grill outside. That being said, the owner was very quick to respond to any questions, and the place is truly beautiful in a great location.

Lots of space

There were lots of rooms for our family. Funky kitchen with no stove top but everything worked as advertised. Looking forward to our return someday

Could use a more personal touch.

The location of this property is great. Easy access to the beach and highway to Portland. Drew answered my emails leading up to our trip quickly. The door code was sent to me the day before our check in as promised. We were not contacted at all during our stay just to check in with us to see if there was anything needed.That said, the personal side of the rental needs work. The outside grills were a mess. We didn't use them. The firepit had several mismatched chairs that needed to be cleaned along with the picnic table. There is no firewood provided. There is a lot of junk laying around the property and under the screen house. Inside was overall good and as described in the rental description. There were a couple of missing light bulbs in key areas. We found extras in the laundry area. The smoke detector is missing in the third floor bedroom. For a rental that sleeps 12, there aren't many towels available. I've stayed at places before where a welcome basket was provided, directions how to use ammenties within the house like a TV with four remotes :), provide maps/restaurants/grocery stores - recommendations/ideas for the local area. After all, we are unfamiliar with the area. Like I said, the necessary items were provided but a more personal welcoming touch would be super and put this place over the top.

Pine Point has 7 miles of sandy beach and is located only 15 minutes from Portland which has great restaurants, bars, and shopping in Historic Old Port, art museums, and the Red Sox minor league baseball team called The Seadogs, outlet shopping can be found in Freeport, home of L.L.Bean only 25 minutes away. Just a few miles away, family fun can be had at several amusement parks: Splashtown, Funtown, and O.O.B with its fireworks on the beach every Thursday night, amusement rides for the kids, and nightlife for the adults. Pine Point has easy access to all other southern spot you might want to visit.
