Our second visit to this property, and we enjoyed it just as much as the first. The house is beautiful, generally very well equipped, and ideal if you’re holidaying with dogs. There were however a few small issues :- the house could have been better cleaned, we found empty packaging and a stale bread crust in the bathroom- it really needs some more garden furniture (eg loungers) to be able to enjoy the sunshine- most irritatingly, rubbish had to be disposed of in bins in the centre of Bergerac, a half-hour round trip
This is a wonderful property. Set in its own acreage, with a covered outdoor dining area with a fireplace, it more than lived up to our expectations. It is a well-loved, well-cared for French farmhouse with many charming touches. We loved the peace and serenity, with Bergerac only 3 km away. We will definitely stay here again.
Together with my husband, son of 1 year old and dog we stayed for 1 week at Elise's place. We enjoyed every little bit of it. Sitting outside make a fire or laying in the hammocks, playing with our dog on the big grass field or visiting the chateaus of Bergerac. We would definitely recommend this place!
A beautiful traditional house with gorgeous grounds. Decor is also traditional and stylish.
Kitchen is really well equipped, beds are very comfortable and luxurious.
Everything you need for a 'get away from it all' break.
We enjoyed out stay at this lovey property on outskirts of Bergerac. The home is very rustic but tastefully furnished and provided plenty of home comforts. The outdoor covered seating area is also a lovely addition for small barbecues and provides plenty of shade during hotter weather. The location is ideal for exploring places in the Dordogne and Lot regions, the local Parc pombonne is lovely and great place for walking the dog. We had a very enjoyable stay but suggest that the rusted outdoor table and chairs should be replaced with a nicer outdoor furniture set and to include some sun loungers.
Great location and tranquil setting. Beautiful old property that is beautifully furnished. Owner quick to respond and helpful. To access bedroom 3, you have to walk through bedroom 2. Not ideal and not clear on
Great spot for people with dogs as the location is completely fenced. The house is beautiful, it has everything you could need for a few weeks in the French countryside if you want to escape the city. A car is needed as the house is on top of a steep hill which leads into Bergerac (although it is very close). The bed linen was lovely and the furnishings very chic. The outdoor dining area is heavenly and you can spend all night out there but bring mosquito repellant as they are everywhere! It is the perfect house in the heat as the house itself is lovely and cold inside during the day and just a short drive to a beautiful turquoise lake. We loved our stay and would deffinitly go back.
Lovely property located down a track providing an isolated location. The charming house is set within the grounds which are completely secure. A big plus for us with two dogs which had a fabulous time running around and us not worrying if they could escape. It was like living in a park. So much space and tranquility.
House well equipped.
Great shower and plenty of hot water.
Easy distance to Bergerac in the car and other local towns. 20 min walk to the local lake. Swimming here restricted to certain weeks only in the summer and there is a restaurant there too.
Car recommended for location but just be aware this property is located down a track. Would recommend
