The West Star is a 60' motor yacht located in a quiet southern San Diego marina. WE ARE AN AT DOCK STAY ONLY. We have 3 levels for relaxation and fun. Wifi, fully equipped galley, Smart t.v.s, 2 staterooms, 1 bunk room, 2 bathrooms, 3 viewing decks, 2 kayaks. Boater's lounge, restaurant, gym, bikes, pool, hot tub, putting green are all available for use at the marina. This is for an "at dock only" stay meaning the boat is not available for cruising at this time.

Enjoyed our stay. Very clean. Unique experience. Excellent outdoor spaces. Fantastic, warm heated outdoor pool. Very convenient location. I didn’t like that there was a high extra charge per person fee that I did not realize when it was booked. While I understand the reasoning for it, I would have rather this have been rolled into the actual per night cost and then would seem less like a hidden fee. Host was very nice.

Elizabeth was amazing. She was prompt and very pleasant meeting us at the yacht to show us the entire marina’s amenities and the operation of the vassal. While being extremely responsive during our stay to any messages etc…. The yacht is an amazing and peaceful experience. One that you don’t realize until boarding and sitting out on the fly deck with the cool ocean breeze and calmness of the sea and marina around you. With the fully appointed kitchen along with AC for the warmer days and eating area right on the water makes for a wonderfully peaceful calming stay.

The West Star was truly a memorable stay. If you are looking for a unique stay , this is it. The yacht is stocked with anything you may need. We cooked , we chilled , we fished, we tanned, we went to a concert at Petco park, we rented wave runners… from the same marina, we even got to take beautiful pictures of my Son and his wife on their wedding day on the top deck. The AC works great when the fresh air is a little too warm. Never an issue having enough hot water for showers the pressure was great too. Very clean, the bed I slept in was very comfortable. I can’t wait to stay on the West Star again! Thank you

What a unique and fun way to spend a long weekend! We stayed at this little charmer while in town to see Chris Stapleton at North Island Credit Union Amphitheatre, and it made the trip even more memorable.Our host, Elizabeth, met us at the marina for check-in and gave us a warm welcome and tour of the boat. Everything was impeccably cared for and thoughtfully decorated, creating a cozy, inviting atmosphere. She had stocked the refrigerator with bottled water, Keurig coffee pods, creamer, and even welcomed us with a handwritten note and a bottle of wine. Such thoughtful touches made us feel right at home.This was truly a one-of-a-kind stay, and we can’t wait to come back and enjoy this special place again!

One word says it all. Incredible. The yacht was absolutely gorgeous, marina had everything (pool, hot tub, gym, bar, restaurant, lots of recreational items to use free), neighbors were super friendly, extremely safe location, quiet, 2 kayaks come with yacht, everything you need to cook or relax is provided, Elizabeth the host was fantastic. We 100% will be back. We were so sad to leave.

I'm a native San Diegan who loves to travel and owns my own businesses. I have been all over and like the idea of staying in homes. flats. and boats in cities and towns around the world.

Why they chose this property

My partner and I purchased this boat with the idea of someday taking it to turquoise waters and retiring on it part time in Aruba or Belize and part time here in San Diego.
We bought it in 2018 and took 8 months to repair, refurbish and paint anything and everything that needed some TLC. The end result is a comfortable, fun and beautiful "second home on the water". We love being able to share our dream of relaxation and fun with you!

What makes this property unique

The reason we chose this boat was the challenge it came with. It had beautiful "bones" under all that bad paint and window coverings. We both had flipped homes, so why not a boat? My partner grew up in Detroit and an "engine is just an engine" to him so he's the operations guy and I'm the interiors, website designer and greeter of guests. We make a great team and if we don't know how to do it, YouTube has become a great teacher.
We renamed the boat The West Star because every night in our backyard the planet Venus would rise and we would jokingly proclaim "the west star has risen". So, the name stuck. We had a name changing ceremony and gave Poseidon the old name and an offering of spirits. The West Star was born.
