Basic good-value accommodation with parking close to waterfront

This unit is especially good for a couple or family that wants basic lodging within easy walking distance of a beach. Met our criteria as a couple for value lodging for a 3-night stay in Collioure: - LOCATION: 5 min walk to waterfront and nearest restaurants; 15 min walk to old town with many restaurants. - CLOTHES WASHER. We brought our own liquid laundry detergent. - KITCHEN. (Though we ended up not using it.) - PARKING. Unassigned, but plenty available. We parked in front of apt building. Basic room furnishings. We slept in the twin beds in the bedroom; clean sheets are in the armoire for making up the beds. Along with liquid laundry detergent, we brought our own soap/shampoo. Basic towels of various sizes were provided. The unit met our modest expectations. Upon arrival, before your greeter leaves you may want to ensure you know how to use the washing machine, ensure you know the WiFi network and password, learn the location of the outside trash / recycle receptacles.

Pleasant stay at a wonderful place

Pierre is a very nice host, answered all our questions promptly. We arrived late at night due to a heavy traffic, but it was not an issue to him. We did not meet him in person, which is a pity, but I must tell he won a lottery with Florence and her partner, who was helping us during the whole stay and was very nice to us. The appt is as it looks at pictures, cosy and light but surprisingly not too warm even in high july (there is no AC there, but we did not need any actually). However we needed to keep the windows opened which was a bit problematic as there are hundreds of mosquitos all around and there are no nets in the windows (act.there is one in the bedroom but unfortunatelly broken at the time). So just be aware of it and bring enough repellent). It has no outdoor area where to sit and relax, but there is a big window right at the kitchen table with a breathtaking view of Collioure fortress and the sea which we loved. The house is surrounding by trees and flowers and behind the house there is a green space that can be used to dry laundry. Right behind the house there is a railway so be aware trains make quite a noise especially in the morning, but they are not too often. Concerning facilities we had everything we needed and even more (dishwasher, washing machine, toaster, electric kettle, coffee maker etc). The only thing I missed was maybe a little something to start with in the fridge (often offered by owners)-as we come late with nothing, we would have appreciate a

Collioure est très joli, le seul petit bémol, c'est le problème de parking, impossible de stationner sur Collioure.Les personnes tournent, cherchent une place puis en vain, ils partent faute de place.Heureusment qu'il y a Banyus où il y a plus de stationnement.

En effet dans tous les lieux très touristiques où les centre de grande ville il est « heureusement « impossible que tout le monde arrive avec son véhicule et se gare sur site:les transports collectifs ou à faible empreinte carbone sont insdispensables;il faut utiliser son véhicule pour entrer au parking de la résidence et après bien sur le moins est le mieux !
